Even after verifying the local game cache 3 times. Submitted multiple tickets.

20-second delay when you press the skill. Before the patch, this was not

I had to completely reinstall the game.

SO much lag that the game is completely unplayable. My connection is fine and the ONLY thing not working is Guild Wars 2.

…and now that I’ve reinstalled the game from scratch it’s asking me to verify the files AGAIN and still not working.

After reinstall and verification I now have 169,259 corrupt .dat files in my documents /Guild Wars 2 folder. Bit excessive??

4.14GB.

Perhaps these corrupt files should end up in the game directory and not the user document folder.

I got the same issue. Tried a reinstall and the game started without any problems, but I have a terrible low FPS (10-15) now.

What about a little feedback from Anet or whoever is in charge here!

Now to top it all off, the drive where I store all my games (Steam, GW1, Sims, etc) including GW2 is telling me that there is nothing there and it needs to be formatted to be used????

This is a MAJOR fubar here in my opinion. If a game goes corrupt it should NOT corrupt the entire contents of a hard drive.

Count me among those affected by whatever happened last night. My game was running just fine before whatever was tweaked/fixed/blah. Now I’m hitting lag spikes left and right that leave me dead, unable to use my skills, or see anything going on. The sound issue I can deal with. Simply take my headset off til I can restart the game, but this I can’t. Please give us something here anet.

Same problems here. Yesterday afternoon played fine. Decided to do something else during the late evening. Today both my GF and I can’t play without huge lag spikes, delay on skill use occasionally for 20s, looting delay, disconnects with error codes 7: … even after opening all ports, restarting, etc. Luckily I fixed my recent sound problems by dropping the quality bar by one step. Only after yesterday afternoon was there any problems with connectivity. Now my GF and I can’t play on my day off.

Is anyone else still suffering from this? I’ve froze up and crashed twice in the last 10minutes.

Can anet pop in here and give us a response?

yeah….. no.

If the hdd corrupted, it was already faulty.
games can only access the virtual layer of the drive provided by the windows file system drivers.

Unless you’re going to now blame them for causing your drive to go bust….

The drive didn’t go bust, it’s 100% healthy. The corrupt GW2 forced Win7 to require ScanDisk to be ran after a reset, and that chunked all the data on it.

Also getting lag after the 12-12-12 update. I never experienced this lag before the update was made.

They should really look into this.

Oh wow I thought this was because of something I did. Ya it froze up on me twice and on the second time it sent me to the w7 repair where it failed. Now I have to reinstall w7….

Take your machines in for a service, a game won’t cause file system corruption.

Mmm since that day my game started crashing/freezing my computer. I wonder if it’s the patch after all. They should really check into all of our cases, no matter how different are our specs (they claim my computer doesn’t meet the minimum reqs., which is a lie-especially since it used to work well BEFORE this patch.) I hope all of us get the prompt tech support we deserve.

Try to take your Graphics Card out and clean it. It blew my 15 FPS to 40 and thats all my system can provide.
I kow it is a stupid solutin, but if you have done every other thing, maybe this can help…
