So many people whining about the lack of solo roamers….. from all 3 of the servers… why not just whisper each other and set up some duels, rather than continuously spam the matchup thread whining about how y’all are such an endangered species?

TC, could you do me a favor? Could you please kill the baddie PvE’ers on our server who clog up our queues and then do nothing but drain garrison supply to fix a wall that you are trebbing? It would be worth it to let you take garrison just to wathc you kill these idiots repeatedly. We will do the same for you, because we are all about the love.

No, there are no solo roamers for TC.

I tried to solo-roam-a-pult Mendon last night. Then a Mags General rolled into the tower. Then a TC tag rolled into Speldon. Then I said something about the wall being at 66%. Then the TC and Mags all rolled in.

Group hugs, good times, loot bags followed. Both sides.

It was like Woodstock. Only without the drugs and music. More or less. Hopefully people had more.

#LOL! Don’t believe the forum posters one bit, Mag plays for PPT the far far majority of the time. Mag cares a good deal about their overall point ranking.

They have several teams of people (probably one/two multi-box) trying to ninja nearly every tower in your borderlands and when that “group” gets caught, they then set up operation catapult walls somewhere else so you need to be watching every tower from nearly every angle since you won’t have any visual map notice (unless you are T3 with guards roaming). Mag is just relentless in the ninja tower/PPT farming category especially during the off hours.

Be ready, be prepared! And those ninja Mag are usually so asleep/afk at the wheel while doing it, they don’t even react when you solo-stomp the two catapulting the wall. Enjoy!

The one with the riffle? That’s the only TC solo Roamer I’ve seen. I liked him cause I’m an asura engineer. Also TC when you see someone is in a 2v1 and already finished one guy why you gotta bring 5 more in??? I can’t 6v1 yet!!!! But I’ll 3v1 anytime. Also TC after you engage in said 6v1 don’t call 7 more TC to chase the poor guy (in this case me) from north most ruins to south camp. it’s a pretty inefficient use of your time especially she over half of you are getting downed from the bombs I keep putting on the ground.

CNB 5 man roam squad and 30 man army had fun group fights so far in the matchup! Good fights on SoS BL today Ark+Inc sorry we had to retreat TC wanted to get sipped at our garrisons gates 24/7 and some of us wanted their loots. Sad I didn’t see AoN today I always love telling our people if you aren’t close enough in a ball AoN will eat your tail… And they do <3 those guys. CERN sorry nightlight hasn’t been on much (except Sunday morning) you guys are so much more of a challenge when he’s at the helm. And I’m curious who RoT is cause they weren’t on TC when I was there but there’s a lot of them are they like ex Pink? Did Jadon leave or are there a lot less Pink in WvW? Also I wanna fight EP come to SoS BL… Please …. CNB got stuck with garrison duty this week.

I’ve run into a few of what I thought were solo roamers. I bounced on a GF warrior and downed him, but then his 2 perma stealth thief buddies heart seeker heroed my zele to death before I could finish him.

Then another signet regen warrior got destroyed and kept spamming me with tells until I gave him a rematch. He led me into a group of perma stealth thieves.

D Best: RoT was originally a CERN splinter off that was…somewhat unhappy with the heavier PvE focus of the guild that occurred during Nightlight’s forced break away from the game. I think it might almost be safe to use the past tense there, btw. The server certainly misses the battle rooster. =3

We only have kitten person full guild roster at the moment, so part of me is pretty happy we’re almost at the point where we field 25-30 regularly despite how small that list is. I dunno if I quite want it much bigger than that. If the queues hadn’t malfunctioned on reset night for the season, we were looking at our first 40 person group run, which is personally a bit much for me.

Our current membership has a fair number of new recruits over the last few weeks, and yes, unlike other people groaning about PvErs entering our game mode…we’re picking up people and giving them try outs instead. =3

We picked up people from some old TC guilds though. There are some of ZN’s people who didn’t want to move and an increasingly sizable number of ex-TSL. The second part is a little funny, because we basically have our roster steadily increasing from all these TSL guys who have taken four or five month hiatuses and find themselves coming back to a game with no guild, and getting references from our current ex-TSL members.

Duels are nothing even remotely close to roaming fights. And why shouldn’t we talk about it in this thread? Is the internet running out of space? Aww, I thought everyone was doing a splendid job this matchup, good fights. TC runs a lot, but there are so many of them that I don’t think they all fit in the tower so they are forced to fight at times.

It’s been the failure of SoS and perhaps Maguuma as well (I’m not privy to their tactics and actions against TC) to not use this to our advantage against you.

I commend you for your efforts on attacking SoS Valley a multitude of times, and failing repeatedly. You resort to Omega Golems way too easily, but I guess that says a lot about skill levels.

Perhaps try using 20 of them when our numbers dwindle, you’ll get it eventually.

I mean, they have to stop the entire zerg at every sentry to insure they don’t leave too many kittens behind. The commander has to constantly remind his zerglings not to get distracted by random shiny things like harvesting nodes, the mosquito event, and map completion.

To be fair it’s not really about you. It’s about the fact that everyone knows that this is as good as it gets, for all three of us. The only consolation this whole season is that we get to end with this matchup to remind us of when we thought that THIS was bad.

Weekly Tarnished Coast Dolyak Parade
It’s almost time for the first dolyak parade of the league season! That glorious time when players of all races come to celebrate the dolyaks and their selfless sacrifices for us! Feel free to even come and show up in costume!

For those who do not know, the Dolyak parade is a time where we get together and just have fun, and of course, parade around as dolyaks around the borderlands! Of course, you do not have to be a dolyak if you do not wish to be. In the past, everything from griffons to snowmen to elementals have flocked to our parade. So come out and celebrate the dolyaks, who sacrifice much for our endless war!

• Where: WvW borderlands. The exact one will be chosen ~1 hr beforehand
• When: Thursday (10/24) at 7 PM Server Time
• Who: Anyone is willing to participate! If you come and need a tonic, just ask a friendly DOLY representative and we can give you some to join in!
• How: If you choose to become a dolyak, there are 2 ways: a Ruminant Tonic, and a Dolyak Tincture (feel free to wiki these). Of course any other kind of tonic is welcome, or even none at all if you just want to run along!

If anyone has any questions, comments, concerns, or good dolyak jokes, feel free to send me a message!

PS: Any guild leaders/commanders that are going to have GvG’s on that day and around that time, let me know! I try to plan the parade around GvG’s as best as possible, to avoid meeting up at the same place, or the parade running through a GvG on accident. (I won’t divulge when/where the GvGs are to anyone else, I just want to try to make sure there are no cross-event mishaps!)

On a totally different topic than my post above: why do people care so much about solo roamers? I personally prefer to roam in groups of 3-5. This isn’t spvp, it’s WvW..so large scale. While I respect those who wanna roam solo, I don’t understand people saying “If you don’t run solo in a game play that is built for large scale war, you suck.” I’ve found too that many solo roamers just run the moment a fight gets turned against them (on all sides, on every server I’ve played against, and even TC people). I personally think that fights that are 3v3->5v5 are MUCH more challenging and tactical than solo. Solo roaming too is very dependent on your class, your build, and just how you like to play. I personally don’t like playing an MMO all by myself, so I get with a group of friends and roam with them.

Also, if you’re a purely solo roamer, you’re probably built for that. So, if you come upon a situation where you need to play in a group, you’re not as optimal as players who are built for group play. If players want to zerg, let them. If they want to roam, let them. If they want to solo, so what? This is a game, let players play how they want, and don’t insult other players because you feel your idea of “optimal” gameplay is superior. In the end, it doesn’t matter. Play the game how you want, and don’t insult others because they want to play it differently. Just have fun, and let others have fun! Since you know…the point of a game is fun, not a job.

(Btw, I do solo roam on occassion. If you see a small asura with a pink fro, or a human engi with a bright blu fro, that’s me! Feel free to gank me and try! I do like doing 1v1’s!)

I solo roamed on all 3 of the BL’s yesterday on my level 25 mesmer … that’s right. Sheer intimidation I guess, I was able to to do laps around the map, and couldn’t find a soul in sight, not that my upleveled would win. I’d still fight.

I did get caught once at Mag BL’s north camp when they were fighting an SoS team. Quickly lynched by a squad, but deserved it. I roamed close to a group of opponents. Red = dead, what should I expect to happen?

Morale of the story, quit whining about stories you make up. Pot calling kettle black, but we have 3 pots. Useless waste of time, plan ahead – your poor planning is not another servers fault.

Also, I’ve seen numerous solo roamers in TC on my ventures with my lowbie. They wouldn’t even help me get a skill point because they were busy trying to find your roamers.

You guys have some communication barriers you should overcome. And I have some skill points to unlock/power lvl to do.

By smaller I mean like 6 people, 15 tops. Some of our guilds run smaller groups of up to 25 max. I’m not sure what you’re whining about now, its exactly what you asked for.

I think what you’re seeing is that we do this less on our highest coverage period, because the percentage of players on comms vs players who aren’t on the map during NA is usually pretty bad. At best, you’ll see two separate groups…a guild and a militia group, IF you’re lucky.

At worst, there’s just the blob.

But like, yesterday, rolling around early EU prime, I had a zerg that varied from 15-30 people, there was a small voice comm’d group with 10-15, and there was CERN guild running with 25-30 on MagBL. That’s how the Bay and Hills waypoints got cracked, really.

We know not moving as one blob works best…just, with the current queues, we can’t really implement it well during the time a lot of you guys play.

From what I gather from your initial post, you guys had the keep siege capped and were turtling the hell out of it, and the TC force starved you of supply and made a final large push.

Why is it that TC is always in a zerg? I’ve heard countless times on TC mumble about how you out skill Mag/SoS but you’re always in a zerg attacking out manned maps?

Cat herding is a skill. It’s incredibly challenging to get that many window lickers to follow a Dorito around the map. I mean, they have to stop the entire zerg at every sentry to insure they don’t leave too many kittens behind. The commander has to constantly remind his zerglings not to get distracted by random shiny things like harvesting nodes, the mosquito event, and map completion.

TC is like a thousand times more skilled than Mag scrubs.

From what I gather from your initial post, you guys had the keep siege capped and were turtling the hell out of it, and the TC force starved you of supply and made a final large push.

sounds like straight forward PPT play to me. Or did you know that and just feel like venting a little?

Not even siege capped and plenty of supply to spare ,and ppt is a joke anyways the way mags play the game.
Its just that this match up is like a huge comedy show.
Thats why i asked the guy if he considers failing 17 times in 24 hours skill.

I myself was looking forward to fighting SBI. I wouldent have it any other way though, you guys put up a fun fight on SoS BL every day. I’m not exactly the kind to troll, I’d rather leave it to the pros. NA prime is coming around and it was only a matter of time, the same way we lose stuff when your prime rolls around.

If the TC scrubs were really so bad you should have kept the keep; stop making excuses for your own failings. There have been plenty of good fights i’ve been a part of this week already and all you are doing is tarnishing what could be a matchup with meaningful experiences.

I think we are talking about different things. You resorted to 10 omegas and waiting on purpose until our commander was somewhere else during our weakest time.
Its a valid strategy ofc and out of all servers I have seen tc use it quite often. It just shows that you could not take the keep when it was defended and had to wait with your blob until there was a moment of distraction on our side. Just on the attempt before you lost what…another 4 omega build sites. Dunno how much it was overall but i guess that was big investment overall on your side.
It`s a meaningful experience, true dat. We will improve on the scouting part some more.
Btw, about the pot calling the kettle, i am not sure if oceanics resort to things like this but my answer would be the same to my own side if they were.
