Yay someone noticed! We had a lot of fun last night! That was the first time in months we were able to pull that large of a force together consistently, felt awesome. Hopefully our wvw community will continue to grow and we can make our matchups more spicy in the future

Those bad people are gone now though so we can rest easy at night. Kaineng as a server has been through quite the ringer and those of us left in Kain have to deal with the leftover hate for our server those guilds instilled in the other servers.
Hence all of the nonsensical “OMGZ KAINENG IS TANKING FOR BRONZE LEAGUE” QQing on the forums, guess they weren’t informed on the severe population drop that hit our server right before leagues lol.

I, and I expect DH in general, is thrilled having you guys fight beside us on the battlefield. We encourage you guys to join the WvW channels in TS. Although it can often be filled with witty banter, if you use the appropriate channel I’m sure other non-[Fun] players will join your Zerg and follow.

Let’s hope we can end the bickering on the forums and focus on the matchup. This has been a great battle with lots of fun fights. KN especially seems like they don’t want to tgo without a serious fight!

Yes, we recruit people from other guilds. If we see something that we might be able to use for Darkhaven we are going to try to grab them and teach them all we know, because so far it seems like everyone else just mindlessly zergs and that’s it. It doesn’t matter if they are from [Burn], [DHE], or [OGT], if they are in WvW and following us around while we are untagged doing Guild Ops, we’ll whisper them the Team Speak information. We do not force people to join, they make their own decisions. Don’t make us out to be the bad guys here, we haven’t forced anyone to do anything. I mean, who are we suppose to recruit, the guildless players? Almost every single person in this game belongs to a guild, and if they don’t, they almost every time aren’t level 80 and we aren’t interested in them.

yes the tagless people are the ones you should be recruiting. they are the ones you want to cultivate. if you are doing exactly what abyss and se were doing. stealing people from other guilds. regardless of the way you do it, under the guise of “for darkhaven” it amounts to the same thing. powers of persuasion are very misunderstood to you apparently. however callinqq has got it down and has been doing this from the beginning of the season.

This hostility and immaturity is why a small fraction of us have talked about leaving DH. Our guild is not crusading across the server absorbing smaller guilds, we recruit people one at a time on a per case basis. If this means that eventually entire guilds join us, so what? Get over it, this was their choice. We kick most of the recruits anyways for small things like refusing to communicate, because we are seeking to form a guild that actually matters to this server rather than just another [Burn] with only numbers to compensate for poor builds and lack of experience.

So yes, we are trying to form an elite guild of WvW players that know what they are doing and are willing to communicate and cooperate with each other. If we succeed in this, but continue to get hostility from Darkhaven, the core of our group may move. This is not a threat, this is simple cause and effect. You do not own us, Darkhaven. We did not buy this game to be your mini-poodle on a short leash.

That said, some of our members can be rude and immature. We are not happy with this, and if it continues these people will be held accountable regardless of rank. However, responding to immaturity with more immaturity is by far the most idiotic thing you can do. It doesn’t make you right. It just spams map chat with needless crap.
This is why I hate forums, I’m done here.

Either you were not on or did not hear about it, but saturday i logged in and no commander in EB. as soon as i tagged up the map chat filled with the most ridiculous spam from ALL and ONLY [Fun] members with trash talking towards myself and [ANBU] so dont give me this bs. Those non [Fun] and mainly non[ ANBU] who responded mostly defended all accusations against me.

Yeah, I can see why some people don’t after what was going on last night (between 8-10pm est). It was getting a bit too much even for me. Its usually only a couple people that start it down that path. The commander we had in the channel did kinda try to keep people from getting too rambunctious/out of control. Joking is all well and good, but when they start in on people/groups its kinda going over a line.

I’ll second that. Its only certain players, not the server as a whole that seems to have a problem with Fun. I know I don’t have a problem with them. In fact I’m happy they’re with us, we need more coordinated groups.

BTW, How many players are in [fun]? Was that person comment true earlier, you have more than 250 people in it?

I have no idea what this thread is about anymore.

I’m usually on the DH TS and I have nothing against [Fun]. The first time I saw the guild name I thought it was really clever. It is true that our wvw channel is filled with idle chatter about stuff not related to wvw. There have been many times that I’ve had to raise my voice over the conversation so people would hear me calling for help. I feel guilty because it seems like I’m shouting but no one seemed bothered by it. I usually get help when I call for it. Although sometimes it feels like my pleas get lost in the chatter.

I can’t believe this whole argument started because someone from another server said [Fun] did emotes at them. I’ve seen both servers do the laugh emote at us, but I don’t go on the forums and call out an entire guild on it.

Sounds like [Fun] needs to find a new server. I wouldn’t stick around helping a server that doesn’t support them. Good luck on whatever server you call home

Yes a lot of people on the server are newb’s or pugs whatever you want to call them, but really, everyone is at some point, and even if they are they will learn and they will become better but only if you tell them and teach them how to be better. I know I suck at 1v1’s and pvp in general and probably always will, but I am good at coordinating defensive strategies and following direction by a good commander.

Perhaps I am unique in this, but I do not view PUGs and newbs to be the same thing.

Some of our PUGs are some of the best players we have, it would be good if we started including them in operations in case TS becomes… undesirable for some of us.

Not saying I am one of the best players, because I play mostly Asura and we are at an innate disadvantage. Basically the ankle biters of the wvw realm, ya know?

Once we, DH, start to learn how to integrate everyone in wvw into the same overall plan (easily done through chat), then I think people will see an entirely new DH and wonder “where our transfers came from.”

Heck, I doubt many of the people posting even know who I am when I am playing, but I do have a good idea or two once in a while!

Some commanders can be abrasive though, and I think that is where a lot of the issues come from. They can give good advice, but it can come with a tinge of insult. I feel that a lot of our commanders are not necessarily open to constructive criticism, regardless of delivery though.. so I think people being abrasive is only a part of a bigger issue.

DH, like so many other servers, has gone through the rough rides of large guilds assimilating a bunch of players and then leaving. This has happened several times on DH, and I am sure several times on many other servers. So, when the hint of this comes up, well.. the results are as expected.

The drama between [ANBU] and [FUN] is destructive to DH, as such infighting would be to any server. Its not new, many of us have seen such a thing happen before and know exactly what the results from that have been. Its made me want to steer clear of both until they get their kitten straightened out for the greater good of the server.

Once we learn that the team is [insert server name here], not some individual guilds, then we can make some progress. That doesnt mean that loyalty to a guild cant surpass that of loyalty to a server, but as long as we are all on the same server, we are all on the same team.

Some of our new commanders have really been stepping up though, and even asking for constructive criticism. Eventually, I hope to see a zerg portal kiting with elevation changes. Then I will know we are actually making progress as a server!

[Fun] has no issues with [Anbu]. We do our own thing to help the server; all we ask for is support from the other guilds.

If Assassin X or some other member from Anbu wants to attack us, they can go for it. We do more for the server anyways. But if the majority of Darkhaven wants to attack us, you can understand why we wouldn’t want to fight for you guys anymore.

I came back from a 3 month break around 2 months ago. I made Fun into a WvW guild and recruited the best commanders I could find to balance out the loss of SE/FURY/Abys. We don’t WANT to leave the server, and that is definitely not our intention. However, we are looking into server transfers for the guild if this goes on. We’ll probably make our decision by the end of the season, so it all depends on how DH is feeling at that moment.

This is the problem. When abyss left they left not because thy were chased out. Most people begged the. To stay, but I’m the end they left go have better WVW experience on SBI and not have to worry about carrying DH in WVW. SE left for similar reasons.

What I’m going to say now is the true heart of the problem that people have with you CallinQQ: you left. And when you come back you attempt to make [Fun] out to be the end all savior to DH. while the rest of us who stayed on after SE/Abyss left, continued to fight and rebuild the WvW population.

You are “recruiting” (poaching) other guilds members and we have told you yo stop countless times.

I attempted to make [DARK] into the next abyss/SE and got terrible feedback from the server. Where I failed at that, somehow [BANE] succeeded, but even that did not last long.

So as you have said you are recruiting the best commanders across other guilds. And then you are going to leave? That makes you look like a total tool. Not only does that greatly weaken us as a server if you do leave. It also sets a standard that your guild can never come close to achieving due to your bad PR.

This is why the majority of DH has I’ll will towards you and your guild.

We just got over most of the drama before the season began. Of course, this is because we lost a lot of guilds before the season began. There’s still some drama, of course. The secret is to just ignore it. Example “/ignore Ajax Yellow” (that’s a purely random example, btw).

I’ve been enjoying this week’s WvW a lot more than when we were getting stomped on our way down the rankings. Both DH and FC have been fun opponents. Last night’s Havoc raid on the FC borderlands was a lot of fun, and I’m happy to see the spirited battles that resulted.

Personally, I don’t find emotes, even vaguely insulting ones, to be an issue. I appreciate the ‘bowed to a defeated opponent’ ones I’ve received. It even made me feel a little guilty I could see my allies on their way in. Even the /dance and /laugh doesn’t bug me. We play the game for fun, and the emotes are purely there for fun.

Today’s special shoutout is to the members of [DINO], with their persistent raiding of Kaineng’s borderlands last night. It might have been more successful if we hadn’t been prepping for our FC borderlands Havoc at the time. You put up a valiant fight against some of Kaineng’s best, over and over again.

I quite like The Fiend (one of [Fun]‘s commanders), but if [Fun] think they’re carrying DH then they are deluding themselves.

Might have been an exaggeration on my part but we do a lot in the BL without people noticing. Fiend is one of our only EB commanders, which is why you notice him. He’s great, and we’ve been training him, but Fun as a whole helps a lot more than people tend to realize.

Yes and what guild did you steal the feindd from. He wasn’t fun before he started commanding a lot.

And like I said, trying to make fun out to be the savior of dh and actually thinging that you are doing more than SOTD and SOT do for the oceanic crew is laughable. delutios and kadmess both command in the off-times.

we’ve gotten past most of the server drama with the recent exodus of the drama causing guilds so we’re pretty content atm as a community we may have 1 or 2 drama inducing things still here but for the most part we try to handle it fully internally

I knew it was a heavy class, but couldn’t remember which, so I kinda just guessed warrior. Had a 50/50 chance.

Well central is only 1 hour behind est (I think), which means the normal commanders you’d see in our BL anyways would be most likely either zen nightwing or zephy (something) and possibly grandpa (if he’s feeling better). Can’t really help with EB or other BLs, as I tend to stick to our own (unless we decide to leave our BL and strike against another servers BL, or get into EB to get some merc camp captures for season).

Gotta be honest here, I’m actually more interested in who is gonna get second at this point. Weekend was a pretty even matchup, but it just seems that Dh numbers over the weekdays are too much. FC hasn’t held a significant PPT lead for any significant period of time since monday morning. Kaineng, on the other hand, has, and they’ve been pretty consistently higher than FC. I’m very interested to see if Kaineng can upset FC for 2nd, though I doubt it myself.

Most of FC’s commanders have not been on or doing wvw much this week it seems well during the weekday but when they are on we do get the ppt up there.

1. It’s guaranteed to be paper.
2. It likely won’t be sieged up at all.
3. Any zerg in a home BL will be dedicated to defense, while a zerg in an enemy BL is most likely focusing on offense. This means it’s less likely to defend/respond.
4. Tons of situational reasons, such as PPT for one server being too high, trying to draw a zerg to a certain location/keep them there etc…

Not saying I think this is optimum, just that it has some benefits.

This is the problem. When abyss left they left not because thy were chased out. Most people begged the. To stay, but I’m the end they left go have better WVW experience on SBI and not have to worry about carrying DH in WVW. SE left for similar reasons.

What I’m going to say now is the true heart of the problem that people have with you CallinQQ: you left. And when you come back you attempt to make [Fun] out to be the end all savior to DH. while the rest of us who stayed on after SE/Abyss left, continued to fight and rebuild the WvW population.

You are “recruiting” (poaching) other guilds members and we have told you yo stop countless times.

I attempted to make [DARK] into the next abyss/SE and got terrible feedback from the server. Where I failed at that, somehow [BANE] succeeded, but even that did not last long.

So as you have said you are recruiting the best commanders across other guilds. And then you are going to leave? That makes you look like a total tool. Not only does that greatly weaken us as a server if you do leave. It also sets a standard that your guild can never come close to achieving due to your bad PR.

This is why the majority of DH has I’ll will towards you and your guild.

We didn’t say we were going. I’ve said this at least 3 times on this thread. We have made it clear that we will only leave if problems persist.

I never left the server. I quit for 3 months, came back and decided to bring Fun back to its former glory. Other members have Fun had said we recruit from other guilds, but we don’t ACTIVELY recruit from them- if a member comes to us, we take them. It has nothing to do with where they were from or how they got here, only how they are as a person and how active they are in WvW.

Likewise, the majority of DH does not have ill will towards us. You do, your guild does, and they tend to spam map chat/the forums with hate messages. That is one of the MAIN reasons we have even considered leaving.

The fact that you failed at creating the next Abys/SE doesn’t mean we will. Of course we’re going for the same effect, because we want to be equally prominent and have as big an effect on Darkhaven as they did. What I’ve been trying to stress however, is that (for me), it’s more about my guild than it is about the server. I’m willing to admit that. So, if the server turns against me/my guild, then that is an issue that needs to be resolved.

And no, we didn’t recruit the best commanders from other guilds. I have friends in JQ who transfered back to Darkhaven to join us. All our commanders are either JQ taught or from JQ themselves.

I could go into so much more about how half of what you said is fabricated but I’ll leave it there. If you really don’t want us to leave/the server to be weakened, you’ll stop trolling us on the forums.

I quite like The Fiend (one of [Fun]‘s commanders), but if [Fun] think they’re carrying DH then they are deluding themselves.

Might have been an exaggeration on my part but we do a lot in the BL without people noticing. Fiend is one of our only EB commanders, which is why you notice him. He’s great, and we’ve been training him, but Fun as a whole helps a lot more than people tend to realize.

Yes and what guild did you steal the feindd from. He wasn’t fun before he started commanding a lot.

And like I said, trying to make fun out to be the savior of dh and actually thinging that you are doing more than SOTD and SOT do for the oceanic crew is laughable. delutios and kadmess both command in the off-times.

I didn’t steal him from anybody. We’re friends, he had started up his own guild and I asked him if he wanted to continue with it or not.

He receives support (financially/otherwise) in Fun that allows him to become an even better commander than before, just like every other commander in our guild.

I don’t see why you need to act like you know anything about us when its clear that all you know is the few people who use their tags in Fun (usually run tagless, as said before).

Maybe DH and FC have different opinion than us. We will not work with the enemy in exchange for securing a meaningless 2nd place. If you want to focus Kaineng, bring it on. You can “support” Ferguson, we still don’t care.

Quit or left the server. It doesnt make a difference. your presence on Darkhaven was ZERO. Darkhaven was getting back up on its feet after the abyss/SE event. Darkhaven was actually thriving. then you came back. and look at what has happened to the server? there has not been this much in guild fighting that i can even recall. short of the rivalry tension between SE and Abyss. and that wasnt even real drama.

more delusions of grandeur? its like you are not even reading posts other dh are making. i have no problem with your other guild memebrs aside from the lack of tact they showed on the battlefield with the emote spamming (which caused the drama in this thread) but when you harass members of my guild in pm’s and they tell the leader about it, it is upsetting to him (i am not the leader of [ANBU], merely a commander) it tends to not show you in the greatest of light.

like i keep saying and you keep not understanding. the way you are portraying yourself is that you are making fun to be the end all to end all conflicts and become the god of wvw. you keep saying its not about me its not about my guild its about darkhaven, yet you continue to state that you are the ones carrying the wieght and burden of our great victory against FC/KNG. the fact that you lost a FULLY FORTIFIED SM against either of them the other day, while the same day I had people helping me flip the ENTIRE KAIN BL goes a long way in showing how much you are carrying DH in wvw.

Okay, that was a little rude. I believe you should accept another interpretation of this post.
I don’t know about the rest of Darkhaven, but I know a few of us view alliances as spoiling the point of it. I believe what you should interpret that as, as we cheer your gumption and drive, and believe if you fight hard you can make it to second perhaps. Not guaranteed, just perhaps.

This does not mean we want to ally or work with you, I will still do my best to squish anything that is an enemy trying to muss with my stuff, but it does mean sometimes we cheer when we see FC going green because you finally mustered the strength to charge into it. As stated earlier in this thread, you guys have been struggling aside from the really random, but small guild havoc group. At least as far as enemy borders are concerned.

I can’t speak for Assassin X, but I’ve been heard to go “Aw come on [Enemy Server], leave my camps alone!” Maybe this is advice from him to dominate the second place server to secure at least second for yourselves. It is possible, but I don’t know.

Other than that, cheers to those who have been good sports about it, I would love to see a lot less /laugh and /sit and rapid /cry emotes over dead bodies. I find it disrespectful myself. Now /bow and /salute and hopping up and down on the body as though to make sure it’s really dead, that makes me laugh. :P
