Good luck have fun. Should be one of the only non blowout matches for us (DR). DH will probably win due to coverage but it won’t be a total blowout. Here is to hoping DR and AR can team up against the obvious winner instead of everybody picking on AR who will most likely have the least pop/coverage. Either way should be a lot of fun fights. See you guys on the field.

AR really improved in the last 2 weeks… DR is better be prepared or they will lose 2nd to AR 2 weeks straight.

DR is just happy to have a zerg break from HoD and SF.

You guys had a slow response to the first garrison attempt in AR but you managed to stop us. Cheers!

Well getting to the end of the first night for me. So AR got a bunch of transfers or something you guys have way more people than usual.

Transfers? No not really…maybe 10? There are a lot of reasons for AR’s turn and only some of them are to do with transfers, but not numbers.

AR is a v.high pop server but previously had very little interest in WvW. This has begun to change, we are seeing an emergence of a few WvW focused guilds. Some are built by transfers who have more of a WvW focus, but the guild members are AR.

We also have more coverage in stable, reliable commanders, some transfers, some AR originals. This has helped a lot.

Some AR original guilds have also changed their focus with WAR moving from trains to PPT plays and my guild, TFH, are focused more on our BL rather than EB zerg fighting.

Due to our months of coming 3rd we are also very conscious of our own limitations and we are really trying to play to our strengths without over extending, like pushing locations at the inevitable loss of others.

We are also doing well for a change, thus a rolling ball effect, if we can keep it going we may be able to actually convert our fair weathers. The additional benefit of this is a better culture, people are less stressed and it is showing in good communication, positivist and cooperation.

This is why AR is turning around.

There are transfers, and there are going to be more that we already know of, not a huge amount but down here everything helps. These transfers have not occurred yet though and have not yet contributed to our community and progress.

TL;DR Some small transfers have helped a lot but they aren’t the answer to our improvement.

I think the last couple weeks have pushed the majority of our PvE players away from WvW, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we finish last the rest of the way.
I didn’t find a que on any map right after reset, so I dont expect much point wise.so I am just glad Ill be able to find some nice solo roaming fun this week.

Well whatever your doing AR keep it up. I am glad to see a tier 8 server turning around. We DR are not having that kinda luck. Lots of peeps left right before league to a server destined to win. Are pve population is terrible to yet somehow we are considered a high population server. For instane I think we are like a third of the way done with the pollenating the tower living story. We wont finish it lol. I really didn’t see a huge influx of pvers coming in to wvw to get their achivements. The ones that did got them and left and we are struggling now. Almost every day or two I hear somebody in map chat say he is done with us always having outmanned buff and transferring to a better (more populated) server.

To the darkhaven guy yes you guys will win by the fact you have way more people just like pretty much every other server that has ever won a wvw match. Your Brazilian zerg alone had more people in our bl last night than we did.

You can check the PPT during prime time. There was only one very brief moment where AR overtook us by 10 points. Rest was 80-100 ppt lead. At a lot of points we took 320-400 PPT. Note that I’m not saying this is exceptional, just that our primetime force isn’t non-existent. Also notice that, while you may have been beating us in one map, were you in the other three? Part of prime time is numbers lol, not just how on zerg performs against another.

DR has enough people to man 1 battleground and we split that force up to try and defend eb and our bl as best we can. At reset last night we never had a queue on any map. You got your PPT you are talking about cus your massive numbers advantage across all 4 maps kept taking our stuff (Coverage).

If you’re responding to me, I have no idea how your post interacts with mine at all… I was specifically saying that Darkhaven has a strong primetime presence (even if only due to numbers, whatever). Also, if you’re from DR, that’s not only rude of you to have said, but also kind of ironic. I don’t want to be too rude to a whole server, so I’ll just leave it there.

I normally don’t post calling people out, but LOL at the 10 DH I just punked outside of sm for 10min. I literally beckoned/threatened/sat/danced/laid down all while you 10 stayed on your acs, treb and cannons… Then when I try fight 5 of you and all of the npcs at the sm gate, you jump on my body and throw siege lol.

Oh, and then when I whispered you, you pussed out once again of another fight in your advantage. Stay scared Traps Longbow and the other 9 of you, stay scared

Thanks man, we’ve been working hard at it. We only just became a WvW guild 1-2 months ago but we’re at it every day xD.

But yeah dude, we get big numbers at some points and while that does help, we also have a lot of skills roamers etc. I won’t speak for the other guilds but I will say that one major thing keeping me in this server is the callouts from roamers, I get whispers whenever I command that keeps me aware on PPT 24/7, even if they aren’t in the [Fun] channel on the DH TS.

The 15 or so transfers that we got play at various time during the day. With that said AR is improving our overall wvw play. Heads up to DR we beat ET by playing major defense. If you think AR got where we are by transfers than you need to rethink how your wvw community does WVW.

Yeah I thought the guy was originally referring to that one aspects of coverage, kitten many people do with Darkhaven. Everyone basically calls us a night capping server, so you can understand why I thought his OP was basically trying to say we’d lose in the day but win in the night or something like that.

Regardless, I haven’t had the same experience as you in regards to zergs. Almost every zerg fight I’ve been in has ended in Dh’s favor honestly.

Dh and ar fights have been overall fairly even in big, semi even fights.

Been some fun fights in DRBL. We don’t have the people to keep it locked down like ar and dh keep their bl all day so ours is the hot spot. Pretty sad though we had outnumbered buff tonight in our own bl.

[Slay] Mesmer from DH in bay swimming to gate to die in a spot where he can be ressed. This kind of cheap, exploitive play should not be tollerated by anet or the guilds of the players doing this kind of thing. Just wanted to point this out so others can look out for it. The player has been reported to anet as well.

We on AR ran with outmanned buff for a fair amount last night too. We’re just persistent pricks that enjoy a good outmanned 8v3 or 10-15v5 fight

[DHE] and [SVX]? not sure, but you guys ran our northern camps quite a bit last night. Was fun getting wiped and wiping you as well.

I wish i could believe this, but the only reason that mesmer wasn’t ressed is because we had 4 or 5 people camping his body. At least 2 or 3 people came to the gate to res him and realized with all the people camping his body it would be a waste of time.

Fair enuff..I got infractions for posting something like this before lol basically saying Mesmer res thru door so I don’t wanna get into it again. Those guys came in after we broke thru the wall and had a nice fight with u guys. Was good times nonetheless.

I was close couldn’t remember the tag too well, but it was fun fighting you guys. Wish we had more people but I guess it was evened out since you guys usually ran with 1 or 2 up leveled players.

up-levels are like a good pet mechanic, they can’t really do much on their own but if you ignore them, they’ll slowly tick your HP away.

The new arena in Obs Sanctum is such a kitten solution to duels and small man fights. But I guess it’s better than nothing.

I want to commend AR on their diligence in defending their keeps. It’s the best I’ve seen in bronze league.
