Yes because everyone is running a build to do 1v1… I spend most of my time pulling small groups of GoM’s and Kain’s to Yak’s zergs, let’s be clear WvW is not for 1v1 so stop trying to hide behind your self-righteous mask lol, you’re just like everyone else out there ^ ^

I was in our BL for several hours this morning, you and Kain took some of our camps, and usually it was me and one other taking them back – we didn’t even have the numbers to roll over you. We fought 1 to 3 of you or Kaineng several times and either killed you or drove you away. Not that we didn’t go down occasionally, once we were busy with guards and the supervisor and 2 of you joined in and targeted us. I don’t remember if it was GoM or Kain on that occasion, next time i’ll take screenshots if you doubt even such a trivial thing.

Granted it is my fault for chasing a thief for basilisk venom me and his failed gank but CMOOOON yaks bend… 1v1 and it always ends like this photo.. Kain atleast has a set of balls and 90% stand thier ground and fight out a 1v1 but yaks? aaarrrgh.

LOL If this pic had been of the same guild, I would have given you the benefit of the doubt saying that they could have called for help. When it is that random of guilds, it just means they saw an easy kill and went for it. I’ve never ever heard one guy call out for help to kill one baddie.

I’m glad you found the exciting non-stompy non-easy win tough match you guys always wanted. We’re gonna stick it out and hope one day our random number generator gives us a match like that too.

Edit: I’m not as good as the other people in this thread who wipe twice their numbers regularly.

t2 is a whole different game from where you are here. There is always a fight somewhere, thats what makes this match up entertaining. Sure having to deal with the smelly magswag wasn’t the best this week, for us or them, but whatever.

We could have been if we’re weren’t forced to defend and recover from aforementioned golem rushes by Kaineng every time we had barely anyone to defend. Yesterday we said enough is enough and we’re tired of this “play for 2nd easy target for PPT” bull and as Laniee said, they woke a sleeping giant, and we’re Mad-ness! If we indeed get 2nd by reset… Lets just say this will be one matchup I won’t be forgetting. Evil smile >=)

I seen a lot of guilds and a few players keeping at it solid this last 19 hours I been on… I gotta log sadly I’m too tired atm but hopefully yaks distribute themselves across GoM and Kain so we can fight it out for 2nd place…

Say what?? there is no self righteous mask and im not running 1v1 build it’s just if a thief jumps me and fails and runs into a group of 5 friends then like I said granted im the idiot followed then so be it… I always see Yaks having roamers and I try to 1v1 or 1v2 them but they always run away, I only really chase thieves that gank and dont kill me cause, well hey, they deserve to die.

I guess I am still used to FC/ET and lower tier servers holding thier own with out a zerg to back em. They learnt how to fight and I myself am still practicing and always trying to take every opportunity possible.

Again, like i said, thief fail ganks, I chased and was baited, my only point to this whole kitten you kitteners have to drag on is that the 1v1 would have been nice even though he had upper hand. Yes, it is my fault for chasing but who doesnt want to kill a fail thief?

Nice comeback GoM, I didn’t like what I saw when I woke up this morning. We still have just over 5 hours for 2500 points. 500 points per hour or 125 PPT extra per tick is gonna be tough.

The pve content on tue. Did mess with our numbers but we are back and ready to take 2nd place. I wish I could have played more against yak bend. Instead of defending kain golems rushes 3 times a day. It have been fun. =)

We sincerely would have liked to. Unfortunately, every time we’d settle in for a push against YB, we’d have to leave to go chase some vultures out of our yard. The mere idea that KN tried so hard to play for 2nd instead of going for the win is the reason that we chose to switch focus and take that precious 2nd place away from them.

As for YB, you guys played well and deserve the win. You didn’t do anything flashy, but you didn’t make any mistakes, either. YB was able to keep up good pressure on both servers all matchup long without over-extending and played solid defense as well.

Congrats on the victory! And cheers to the [LoS] thief and mesmer I got to duel last night. In my limited time fighting against YB, they stood out as top talent to me.

It is what it is. YB easily outnumbers kaineng and unless we have an organized push from a few guilds we usually do not even have the numbers to push in YB and take mroe then a single tower. Using the same numbers we can push GOM and get a couple towers and a keep.

PPT means the GOM is a much smarter target. I dont like it… lets be honest, but that is how Anet setup the match. If we focus on YB we might slow their point gain yes… but then GOM has the freedom to hit things uncontested while we are throwing everything at YB. This means less PPT for us, and mroe PPT for GOM, while barely scratching YBs PPT.

This means we risk losing 2nd place to GOM. Sorry not a smart bet. Am I happy with 2nd place? Nope… but tis a hell of a lot better then 3rd.

Eat them words!

I agree with this.. we were defending bay from yaks who just ran in with 0 strategy as if we were gonna be easy but we wiped ya.. then you started using tactics and we still wiped ya.. I cant remember how many times we wiped ya there considering you just wouldn’t give up.

but for this matchup, it has been fun and different from everything else. had some fun duels, and some not so fun duels that were interrupted by invaders as wells as those from my home world. also enjoyed diving into kaineng zergs and yak zergs as well. just as my pic earlier showed and yeah I cant help but to make it seem you all came in there for me, I gotta make myself feel good, lol. but that time you came to me and I wasn’t bout to run even though I knew I was gonna be just destroyed.

I have the widest smile on my face at work right now at work That post was my main drive in playing as much WvW as I have since then :P So glad that whole thing backfired in Kain’s face…

But in all honesty, thank you for the great matchup Yak’s and Kain! This was prolly the most fun matchup I’ve ever had besides the 3rd week of GoM/ET/FC :P We had many lessons learned from all sides and would relish another chance to fight u guys in the near future! Kudos to the small mans I’ve also fought and dueled!

There is a reason I said weekday instead of ‘all week’. Because yes, during the weekend it was a double team on GoM BL. Something kaineng had to deal with for 2 months in a row (the double team being primarily on our home BL). On reset there were no GoM on kaineng BL, there were a few Yak groups but besides a GoM Havoc or solo we didn’t see them. So after securing our BL we went where the action was, with YBBL secure GoM BL became the defacto hotspot.

Its kinda the trend I’ve noticed with weekends in the mid teirs. The weakest (by that I mean the server who is last to secure all three of their keeps) server tends to host the three way until Sunday night. Then the borderlands get round robin’d. If you successfully defeat the golem rush on your BL your bl will be ignored for a while.

Its simply how the game is currently played. I kind of wish there was more actual point incentive to not be a vulture but to take and defend objectives.

I wouldn’t either, unless it’s a theif that successfully got an initial burst on me and I’m trying to recover from it, but otherwise I relish a 1v1
