Guild Wars 2

Well, this started in the closed thread, but here’s the idea in the flesh. What I’d like to propose, since the battle is effectively over, is a glorious send off of the week with the three servers showing a bit of T1 unity… before destroying each other in glorious combat.

It’s 12:50 PM eastern US right now. Pick a time, say 2PM or whatever works. At that time, whomever owns SM becomes host for the event. Teams from the other two servers meet at the gate between them and have one team each put up a ram on the gate and take it down. Then, as a whole, the three servers meet on the walls flying as many kites as they can muster between them. After so many weeks of great fights, have a little fun! Take pictures, film, etc. Then comes the good part.

All three servers take corners in the courtyards for a grand three way Battle Royale. Last ones standing get to claim/hold SM (and bragging rights).

There are rules.

1. No rezzing the fully dead. Downed is fine, dead you’re out.
2. No seige. No ACs, cannons, nothing. (Engineer elite mortars are ok.)
3. No waiting for the other two servers to damage each other. When it begins, it’s all in for everyone.
4. Video and pictures are required. This should be shared.

I’m stuck at work, so can’t do much more than propose the idea… if you like it, it’s up to the servers to set it up and work it out. Now go have some fun!

BTW… if other servers do this and we don’t… that looks bad.

As I said in the match thread, awesome idea and I hope it happens. Although, people may want to order another keyboard ahead of time as the follow up battle is probably going to break a lot of people’s #1 keys. Anyhoo, looking forward to the videos/pics if someone can actually pull this off.

Anet bogued me on a kite (and will probably lock this thread). GG T1 server fights. Farewell and following seas to the guilds moving on to other things. It was great fighting with you and I’m sure will be fun going against you.

Looks like good news for JQ. Room for some new wvw guilds (everyone knows JQ was a little pve heavy) or getting some fresh fights in T2.

It’s like a win win either way.

What’s the big complaint about gifs?
They weren’t offensive. This is PvP, quit with the carebear reporting.

Sounds like fun, its a good idea I just wish you would of posted this yesterday. It is too short of a notice without a scheduled time. Also you left it up to us all to pick a time. Only ay something like this is going to work is if OP makes the time and sets the date in advance.

i really dont know wut tier 1 u guys r remembering. T1 was never a close tier, sure there were fights 18/7 but it wasn’t close. HOD owned tier 1 follwed by JQ then SBI then SOS and JQ again. Each and every one of them had timezones they pvdoored in.

HOD had the best 24/7 coverage this game has ever seen. They would win the week by 200k+ maybe even 300k

JQ won by 100k+ many many many times. Same with SoS

T1 has always been a 1 man show. Now its 2 servers fighting for the top spot

WvW has been dying a slow death for several months. It started with the lower servers. Casuals stop playing, in turn WvW hardcores aggregating up to the top tiers for better competition. This kept the game fresh and interesting for hardcore WvW’ers. Massive playerbase fluctuations between servers bringing in a new top dog every couple months. Kept things spicy.

Now the farm system is darn dried up. Just lots of fair weather casual WvW’ers left for the most part in the farm. All that is left is for Tier 1 to cannibalize itself(not that this hasn’t happened in the past) and for the remaining population to get bored and quit.

There will be no server to step up and compete with SoR/BG this time. In a month there will be 2 stacked servers, and then in 3 months 1 stacked server. No real hardcore WvW competition anymore, just a couple of stacked servers pvdough’ing(pizza doughing) one of a couple weak servers each week.

2 sounds better then 1 like it was before. atleast the top spot is up for grabs week in week out.

also it sounds like ur happy that servers imploded(spiced up t1). dont know about u but i hated when my server ET blew up, and then DH. I am not a fan of JQ hurting right now wish they kept there guilds, But SOR and BG didnt make them leave JQ

RE / FIRE / OMEN / WARD / ACO / vH / TKG / AGG

also some of there Sea members quiting the game a few months back. Dont know why thes guilds left but the fault is not on the hands of SOR or BG.

again Ill take a 2 man show over a 1 man stomp fest anyday.
