So, let’s just suppose a guild wanted to transfer to YB that wanted to really focus on organized zerg-busting, but only has a couple members and wanted to grow. Do you all see the potential players on the server that would be dedicated and willing to grow in skill and be able to raid multiple times a week? The main timezones would be NA and OC.

This is an awesome guild with great people. Yaks Bend has a very supportive, mature and helpful community. If you are on the fence about this guild. Let me help, give these guys and girls a try. You will be extremely happy you did.

Sorry for the late response, Nate. I think there’s certainly room to grow for a zerg busting guild that wants to recruit on YB. In fact, [PAL] is doing that right now, and their GL reported hitting their first stage recruitment goals in under a week.

We’ve identified the lack of open field guilds during our review of season 2. This is why new startup guilds will be sucessful, as long as they intergrate themselves in our community.

Nate, it depends. There is a potential, and we have a number of guilds that are working on the same principle. However, yb isn’t a hardcore wvw server, so don’t expect to just recruit a number of ppl right away. You would need to train and work on it for a bit. And show people what you can do. Its the same on every server, as getting, and more importantly retaining people takes work. I wouldn’t come if I was just coming for recruitment, but if you want a great community YB is perfect.

Also a reminder, this is not only for guilds that want to transfer, but also for guildless players who want to join a stable and laid back community. We have a lot of different guilds that cover all the aspects of gvg. From defense, to havoc, to GvG.

If you are interested in our history check our stats on the wvw sites like millenium and gw2stats. Yaks Bend is probably one of the most stable mid tier servers on NA. We don’t generally leave t4/t3 area and are not affected much by departures or arrivals of guilds. We also also keep good relations with guilds that leave for top tiers, and often they come back after getting tired of omniblobs.

Instead of being sad that you have to fight us, join us! See the fun to be had by making the other servers cry! (Even when we’re losing we cause QQ! Who else can say that!?)

Please don’t move to YB if you want to bandwagon. We don’t care much for blobs and comparative measurements. Also there is no ktrains on YB, we don’t do them. All of our ktrains have moved off thankfully, so please don’t move here if all you do in wvw is ktrain. Of course if making ktrains cry is what you like to do, we welcome you with open arms.

Moved to YB during Season 2 from SoS. Best thing I ever did. Great mix of Fights, Roaming and Defense.

Intense WvW action without the 24/7 t1/t2 mindless mega blobs!

Plus an amazing community.

I’m not a guild, obviously, it is just me. I’ve been back playing for a couple of weeks now (trying out all different kinds of characters to decide which one to main), and I think I’ve finally settled on a Main (Rifle Warrior).

I’m looking for a Yak’s Bend guild, and I’ve never seen one advertised in any game chat or in the Guild Recruitment on this forum.

right now I am just leveling up, still lowbie on my Warrior, but eventually I plan on splitting my game time between PVE stuff and WvW. I’m obviously not ready for WvW yet though.

is there another place I should be going to find YB-based Guilds?

We are perfectly fine with any classes/comps/guilds joining. Play whatever you want, and however you like. The only thing we ask for is not to be a troll like some people who are very but hurt.

We’d still like new additions to our family. All time zones welcome but we really really need the off times.

Come be on our server so you don’t have to fight us! No worries about siege because there is no friendly fire fear! Also, more chances at skrims/GvG with the servers we face!

YB is in a pretty good place right now, with a few good open field guilds in TC, PAL and UL, while still boasting excellent militia, guards and quality scouts.

We coulds definately use one or more SEA/Ocx guild(s), or even an extra NA open field guild to pressure more BLs.
