an old issue…. is it working as intended ?

are you supposed to be able to rez the dead on the other side of a gate ?

what’s ANET’s comment on this ? is it working as intended ? if not , are you looking to nerf or working towards nerfing this rezzing through the gate ?

I don’t think it is intended, probably still trying to work out this bug.

They did finally make cats stop working on people on the other side of the door, just took them a while. This is probably a difficult issue also.

People still do it, even in when they can’t win by any other means other than to cheat.

You can stomp people through gates too.

You missed the issue. Consider a dead mesmer on the inside of the gate.

I’ve long thought that we should be able to slap hit points off of dead players the same as downed. We have seen this before, where a mezmer is dead inside the gate at 99% health so that when the army shows up they can get him up in half a second and he can then portal them in.

Usually we camp the corpse until he poofs but unless you guard the body with a solid force it’s going to be hard to kill him faster than he can run up and portal in the army outside.

PLease look into water gates on bay and the keeps as well.

There is a certain guild on JQ that is notorious for having mesmers die at the grates in bay and then rezzing through and porting their force in later.

pretty much everything works through gates, which is dumb. when they said catapults would no longer be able to damage rams though gates i thought maybe they meant they had fixed all aoe/damage/interaction through gates, but apparently not.
