In the new article named ‘’World vs. World: Midseason Report’‘, Arenanet speaks of weekly bonus chests based on server performance under the ’’Gold and Glory’’ paragraph.

Are those bonus chests the ones you get on rank up after the reset or are they something else?
I’m not complaining here, just wondering if I’m not missing stuff for my participation I’m on Ehmry Bay and we often get 2nd place in match-ups, so I guess we should be getting 1 or 2 bonus chests.

Also, does personal participation counts towards those rewards? Like starting upgrades, repairing, escorting dolyaks, etc? Like if someone only ‘’karma train’’ one or twice in the week but I cap tower/keep/camp, escort, repair, cap mercs, etc. over the week, do I get something for my ‘’more active’’ participation? I’m rank 140 ( if it means anything)

Yes, it is those chests that you get (1 for place 3, 2 for 2 and 3 for 1) at the end of each match-up.

No, the only thing that effects those rewards are the placement your server has at the end of the match-up.

They’re the same trash chests you normally get on level up,blues and greens and a 0.000001 chance of something good.

Nice that you raise this topic in this moment as i was searching info on it (and the forum’s search does not work).

I’d like to ask again what the thread starter asked: When do you get those chests? I know from the announcement that it is in the week after a wvw match. But where exactly does one get it? When logging in? Switching to wvw? Ranking up?

I’d say that I haven’t got any WvW account bonus chests by now although being active in WvW.

Edit: As far as I interpret Brutal_Arts answer, you get those chests one by one while ranking up. But do you have to do all the required ranks in one week (ok, 3 is not that much for one week) OR just log in once in that week so that they are added to the “X Bonus Chests remeaning” counter?

Any 1 can explain where are these chest?

If you press B and then Rank and Abilities you will find your rank and see if you have any bonus chests (which you gain automatically by ranking up).

Nope, they stay forever until you rank-up and get your regular + 1 bonus chest.
