ricky: u remind me of fa way back. we used to be outnumbered all the time and started developing very unique strategies to outplay the big servers. then we got the whole ioj merge and it is soo much fun with them.we have grown a lot as a community. we are still not big enough to beat tc or any ot the t1 servers, but we fight even if we are sitting on 60 ppt, we will still go ninja something. the other night we had 30 ppt, left the home bl and went and took fully fortified hils from sor. so yeah u can still have fun even if u face a server like sor.

but ricky, do not make the mistake and think all t1 servers are bad players because of their numbers. i’ve met some pretty awesome sor roamers. they dont refuse duels and they do have teams of 2-5 roaming at all time. face tc and u will find a lot of ganking groups too. t1 servers have scouts everywhere.
dont talk bad about servers u havent faced lately.

it’s nothing personal, we have fun without your bloated servers here ….we want to keep it that way. You have your 3 servers to fight, please don’t complain. We have a lot of great servers to fight – having an amazing fight now.

It’s really simple, as long as you want to be overpopulated. please stay away from us. We don’t want you in our fights. It’s not about you guys being fun or not, it’s about a fair fight that you don’t want.

we don’t want to meet and shake hands, most of your guilds flooded and abandoned our servers already…….we’ve met. no thanks, we don’t think playing with you is fun at all.

maybe it’s a good thing you have all these transferring guilds….they would come to our servers – up the que time, try to over rule the game ….make tons of zergs ….it wasn’t fun….. maybe now that we have all your guilds in a few servers, Anet should lock you guys up to fight each other and throw away the key. We don’t want you guys transferring back either.

i dont think db or fa are overpopulated. we have prime times but we also have big gaps in coverage. we have a lot of small groups running around. u will see a big zerg though in eb and during reset. our queues are very very short and reset nights only.
sor/jq and bg are massive though, but they do have a lot of guilds that leave to lower servers too. so where do u want the guilds to go to? just quit playing? because u are worried about qyueues, but at the same time complaining that u dont have the coverge and about t1 and t2 servers being unskilled and zergers?

what if a servers falls apart and u guys get all the transfers? would your server refuse? i dont think so…
then all of the sudden everyone will start calling u the bandwagon server and u move up in tiers. how would u feel if someone calls your server a bunch of unskilled blobs? u still have the same guilds u had from the start, the same players and the same skill, u just have more people and better coverage.

that’s not fair either – they don’t like fighting the same bloated servers over and over – There are a few groups of people that don’t need a ton of zergs to win – they are the ones that constantly bring all these servers to number one …and thats honorable – whats NOT honorable is when everyone flocks to say they are a part of them and turn those guys strategy into this massive ball of meat.

We have some pretty mean pvp strategists in the mid tiers that would have fun fights vs these guys – we will never see those fights if they are covered in fat. It’s not justice to them, and its not justice to pvp’rs who would rather face the odds than join a bloated server to play hard.

This is pretty true. Just look at the current TC/JQ/BG thread in matchups. We’re all having a frekkin’ blast!

Same thing when TC had just move up into T2 from T3… those were some of the best weeks I’ve ever had in WvW. Sure we didn’t get record breaking numbers or anything, but it was fun for everyone to have a new challenge and learn how to fight against the different tactics that each server was using (as well as learn from each other). We still have a solid friendship with BG from back then and have fun when we face them. I would be sad if we never got to pair up against them again

actually i had a blast vs bg/jq aswell. they were very nice….sor though is like woah!!!!!! they got insane numbers……the thing is 1 t2 vs 2 t1 servers is better as the 2 t1 serer will fight eachother too,but a t1 server vs 2 t2 servers…not so much.

This really shows how little people know. SOR has less coverage than the other 2. BG probably has 50% more players and JQ 25%. SOR just has attracted a ton og good guild and guild leaders.

Ricky has this whole thing backwards they should be condensing their WvW population down to 6 servers so everyone can experience the game at a high level.

dude we are not even talking down to u or bullying, the one attacking and bullying is u and u only atm. miley cirus and all that, cmon! we are also playing at high level, but u are too ignorant to acknowlege that. u have no idea what is going on during our fights and matchups. and even if we get matched vs your server, we DO want u to do well, we want good fights, not just mindless blobbing. not pvd style. we love our havoc groups.
btw if u do get matched vs us, dont try eb during na prime…. but please come out and duel . ;-)

and @ Relentliss.2170: yeah u guys have less than bg but right now u dont have another t1 server to fight, so of course u guys can smash both of us esily as u dont have anyone that can stand up to u. if bg faces 2 t2 server it will be the same. i had fun in t1 week as fa saw it as a challenge to prove its self to the 2 t1 servers. u do have a crazy coverage though.

People do not transfer to t1 for an easy win. They transfer because it’s the only reliable way to get a decently balanced matchup with enough 24 hour coverage that you can always find someone to play with.

Options for tier 1 server: Stomp or balanced match
Options for every other server: Stomp, get stomped, or balanced match.

The logical choice right now is to be in tier 1. Sucks, but that’s the way anet has made it. I don’t begrudge people for moving to tier 1; it’s anet’s fault.

My suggestion would be to set a gold Tier -which would be T1 and 2. Initially offer free transfers to the T2 servers. This would allow them to fill up. Then occasionally offer free transfers from the top 2 to the bottom 4 of that division.

For other servers 2 possibilities for casual WvW. Only use the EB map or merge servers together for WvW into an Alliance.

I can fully understand Ricky’s desire for some fun small scale WvW where you feel like you made a difference.

I transferred to SOR partially so I could play against the good guilds that exist on BG and JQ. I don’t want to be playing against uncoordinated alsorans. Last night most of our server was playing naked to even the odds. Sad really.

why not come out and play then? we are the same way. our 15 people get wiped by 60 man zerg, but we feel still great as we gave them a hell of a fight! the point im trying to make is, that every server has great players and we want great fights. yeah some servers have a bigger population, but when we face sor, we still try to hold our stuff as good as we can. we dont just go pve and give up.

it’s not fun, for the most part we run one mid sized zerg …and the rest are roamers.

It’s not even fun when “We” have too many zergs ….so this isn’t just about saying you guys are too much for us…….. loaded fields are simply not as fun as a mid sized field.

Serious….I’ve seen my server go through the changes, too low ….morale is down….too high everyone gets snippy, right in the middle – there is great teamwork.

and like i said in another post, I was a part of hod for a while when they had their glory – the game play was night and day – it was interesting watching their strategies …but i left when it just got plain stressful ….too many commanders, everyone complaining and ragging each other when we lost a keep …… it’s nice in my server – we play hard but it’s not stressful …it’s a rush. it’s also fun claiming all your property back and catching up on scores….that’s when you see the real teamwork happen.

without a doubt , catching up on score is way more fun than holding a lead. and we’ve held the lead a lot.

you can even notice the difference in the forum now, no one is having chats about their fights anymore…. the best threads were mid-level fights – the “high level” threads were the same people fighting each other over and over, talking about long ques and skill lag.
