I think condi’s and power are fine! The skill disable skills are problem! Need more tools-skill to prevent them .
U got focus by thief-mesmer for example and u can’t act till u die! Some classes maybe can … maybe but what about the others . Loosing a fight because of this is frustrating. i believe that is why many complain about cond’s. Cause when u got disable u can’t cleanse anything and of course u die .

No, no, was just comparing the adition of the 1k ish from the elite signet compared with the RF wich can be traited to heal and refresh virtues since no combat last that long to imply the RF has a long CD, compared with the signet over time heals.
I never tried the signet after the CD reduce, but imo easy to interrupt and f*** up the guard badly.
DH f2 has issues :\
When u think u will heal target and u see no heal and ur very close to the target…. or when target moves a bit from the landing zone while ur in mid air animation….
If u know when to use it is great! Imagine in mid they all focus on necro and when is almost down wooop full life!
2nd u use it with stability and when u have swiftness from sigil.
3rd energy sigil help u evade and heal group same time!
The build is good like it or not but the philosophy is different .
U need to evade and move and worry about team health all the time.
The team from the other side needs to care u when u got focus . Ur dps in group need to be fast and strong so he can press the one he focus on u.
Is a team build and not solo selfish 3v3 if i have 2 good dps u can’t kill me .
and if i am in mid 2v4 with a druid u can’t take the point and iif u do the others hold the other 2 points cause they left them unguarded.
Most of u want to be solo uber player and never team player . I am plat and older i was legend with this build ( both of them i post it) . That means something. maybe 1 season was luck and perhaps 2nd but all the seasons?
And i am Plat with 3 accounts and 1 gold . I have proof that it works . the build need’s skill is not auto warrior-Guard meta build .
Ajax then u are trying with the wrong class, guard is the class the sacrifices more for bunker that gets the worst results, no damage, poor surviability, low to minimal support, no escaples, lack of mobility.
ANet made guard a DPS burster trap gimmick, or go playa 10k-12k burn tick build.
Guardian defenses and blocks are easy to overwhelm or ignore, even that DH F3 wall can be a self trap for the DH when facing classes with unblockable skills and at least a decent player.
Even the guardian focus is easy to avoid….
Still the best support for guard would be the DH virtues for team support and traited vurtues on a dps speced build, and alot of player dont know how to counter DH f3.
DPS and Support cause full bunker on guard other classes can still outdamage easilly your defenses and HP.

Explain this: i tried all ur build 10 games each on plat. Division 1600~1620 points .
I was in difficulty to stay alive . I was lucky that didn’t lose many games cause the opponents were low skilled for me.
And 50% of the games i was to point holder and healer.
With my build is easier to stay alive (at least for me) and on the 95% of the games i am top Healer-Point Holder . And 50% offensive and top reviver .
No matter have Druid or Ele in game.
The enemy of this build is the focus disable from enemy nothing else. 1v1 90 % none can kill me . If they do is by my mistake and not from build.
2 seasons ago was difficult for me to stay alive and need it 100% of me.
About DH i will never use it ! I never liked the DH idea. As never liked a Warrior with Rifle of Longbow. What make’s it easier doesn’t mean is the right thing.

Support need to stay alive as long as he can. And keep the others alive. Support never fight alone and if he do need’s to last as the others come.
Dps u propose cannot kill a normal player not even press him . So u sacrifice heal- for a small amount dps. Menders is good for Hybrid Symbol Guard! nood for pure support.
And that build is not from WvW. Those who are old in this game would remeber that was old mete in pvp.

The Jumping monkey theives are fine and easily counterable if you just pay attention.
Warrs it would seem start off super strong at low level play but become quite difficult to play well at higher levels. Granted Elite warriors are an absolute nightmare to play against…

That time i compared the results of my 4 accounts that i have .
Every day 2-3 of my accounts marked as doomed and every game u play is a disaster . The one that survive goes from decent to very very good. All accounts play the same class and the same build.

Anyways i log only for daily these days and this not all the time. I just wait for the update to happen .

DH – Warriors are walk in Sanctuary like have perma stability conditions are toons on u and no matter how many u cleanse the keep spamming . And the same time u can’t dps like the bunker Druid.
when this game got out on market u made this class and Named Guardian for a reason.

This is assuming that everyone is playing at all times.
Match making will have an effect on this. So the person who has a worse win percentage than you could be playing at a time where he is the lowest rated person in the game. Maybe he wins 50% of them.
You could be playing at a time where you are the highest rated person in the game. Maybe you win 55% of them.
The ranking takes these things into account. So a strict win % is NOT accurate because not everyone is playing at the same time. This is why who you beat and who you lose to is important. Yes over time, the more you lose the lower ranking players are in each game, but there will always be a delta because of the fact that everyone is not playing at the same time.

Your rating is made with your MMR too. Others certainly have better MMR due to past seasons, but this can be unfair since past season was a team fest, so even bad players can have good MMR but still playing badly in soloq.
It’s why we need this system, in order to delete all these players from high rank with negative ratio or without enough games played.
It’s still ok the only thing that bothers are the double duo que vs 0 que totally randoms.
You need atleast 6-4 win lose and when you get 7/3 win lose you are able to reach any division. ( I think about gold til plat)
Ajax you are wrong about this one guy who got more losses than wins. He might have started on plat and got deranked by being bad into that rank.
I have 2 accounts plat 3 (both were near legy xD) and boosted friend from g1 into P2.
Elo hell is not really there + you can achiev platinum pretty easily by being a decent player.
The fact that people don’t want to admit they need to play good to reach high ranks is just there. The “I grind into legendary” mentality doesn’t fit and work here =)

No dailies on ranked arena!
No PvE Rewards (only pvp)

Older post also you can see that i lost points couple of times cause overtime bug ( there is video on forum).
Some people were smart enough to foresee the way that mmr gonna be and from 1st season made solid groups and play aiming high. Good for them.
I used (and i still do) no matter how bad they are play with my friends and sometimes win or loose .
That affected my mmr from season 1 and that keep hunting me till now.
The way u play need to be consider on your points you get award not only win loose situation .
This not happening now.
why someone enjoys mmr favor when have 27-26 and the guys that has 181-146 don’t?
We are not too far as u see but still this shows that something is wrong.
Also a player lower me has more looses than victories and he is only 50 points under me why?

im not claiming im good. nowhere did i claim i was good. I was trying to be reasonable until you decided to tell me to think before i speak.
There is no problem with how many games you play but just because you played more games than someone doesnt mean you should be rated higher.
Why is it everyone who isnt advancing in rating keeps saying its luck or its the system…. There is no invisible force making sure everyone else is higher rated, everyone else has the SAME system.

Honestly I have to agree here. There is something super fishy going. If or not it’s intentional by the devs? I have no clue. However people even from the outside looking in see how crazy and how much this is a fact. Some people can win a lot of their games and end up having to carry players who don’t give one care of winning. Other players can nearly lose more games and be way higher rating and get to have more competent team mates, lose more and still the roles do not switch.
IMO it is something that ANet might be looking into. But at the same time until ANet fixes it. It is just another reason for your Ranked Leader boards in GW2 to look like a complete clown house of a joke compare to other actual PvP games leader boards.

its not about how much you win. It’s about who you win against. Winning less against high ranked players will get you better rating than winning lots against low ranked players

OP, I feel your frustration. I run core by choice, but I try not to make it obvious. I win the majority of matches and do well carrying my weight, but I know if we were to lose they would blame my “garbage” spec.

Believe it or not Old style Bunker Guard is buffed too. I play Bunker Guard since the game started it and never changed to DH cause simply didn’t like the idea . Last seasons was very difficult for me but i manage to get legendary div as Bunker guard.
In this one on solo q if the team is normal things are better for me on mid.
The main problem now is the skill disable spam from the opponents. If i have the luck be with a decent bunker ele of Druid we can hold mid 2v4 till the game finish. Only from our mistake loose point and not from the skill of the others.
The disable skills ( the amount and their lasting time ) is the game cancer. Cause not allow u to play . This need to be fixed.
DH Guard is still op by buffing core skills they got something too. They need to find a way to separate this so we can be viable as Ele or Druid.
P.S : the last days i see more than usual Bunkers Guards not DH but core bunkers !

Condis now: A lot of condis in game that is true the only condis that cause problem is the disables- interrupts .
They are too many and almost instant mostly in ( Thiefs-Mesmers and Warriors)
We need these of course otherwise i would be immortal in game . But at this moment many classes don’t have my cleanse and going down without do nothing. Die because u run out of skill is understandably but die because thief disable u for 4-5 sec is joke .

There isn’t too much diversity, granted. But even with one build each class, there is plenty for your to learn and get better at.
Diversity is when every class can play any kind of style (Support-dps-condi-bunker etc) and be viable.
I play bunker-Support Guard 3+ years here after HoT my build or any support build kittened up. My skills and evades finish and dps( condi-power) is keep coming. Why?
You canceled Cleric amulet cause u couldn’t fix the broken ele – Druid heal. And what happen? They still rule the game in this position.

Engi gyro is problem . Ele still has crazy amount condy cleanse. Druid same . Mesmer needs change too.
The main thing has to change is 2> classes in a same team . Imagine 3-4 warriors played by decent player against 2-3 necros or thiefs. The game is lost before start.
Wanna have op classes? Do u have problem to balance them? Split them in game . U take 10 people in a game why should be as i said above?
As i said older posts i still play Support-Bunker-Core Guard. This season u tried to improve the class. I recognize this . But Sanctuary need to block more things DH Use arrow or f1 skills and can pass it.
Major problem is the extreme cc from most classes . Before with energy sigil i could avoid many attacks and use skill when necessary. Now when i got focus aoe cc, aoe dps force me run out of skills and Sanctuary can’t Keep u alive with out keep using skills. What is the purpose of use it then? And i am not talking about stability – teleport skills. DH skills as i said before hammer skills from Rev and etc. U need to rework with some skills for be normal this class. Not many things but a smooth touch

its just impossible to inspire friends to play pvp. as im not playing any pve, they dont bother to try that (tho i think its easier to inspire to pve as u dont get offended, reported and smashed without hot). do not underestimate the differences between pve and pvp, alot of players do one of them categorically. i thought of this more like a win-win situation: as u only provide a full experience in pvp, anet wins way more players who want to experience pve/wvw too, buying hot. the current scheme expects them to start in pve what motivates them to buy hot but the scheme lacks pvp newies.
Yeah that would have been the best solution: opening the HoT specs to the f2p player base would make spvp much healthier (its designed to be an equalized pvp environment after all), increase the spvp player base, give GW2 spvp a chance to compete with other esport games, and work to increase revenue through more cash shop purchases and possibly picking up some players buying HoT for pve/ WvW.

No, just NO! If the f2p players want to play the new specs they should pay for the HoT expansion like everyone else did. You want to be more competitive? Stop being cheap and buy the expansion. I dont know why it is surprise to anyone that HoT introduced a slightly more superior builds. All other MMO expansions does this, only they do stretch the line way more extremly between those that dont own the expansion and those that does with levels, superior gear and whatnot all together.

First of all I dont know why you quote me, when what I wrote was directed towards completely different person and it was on a completely different topic then build diversity. I was talking about the suggestion to open HoT builds to f2p players, which is absurd. Are these people who want this, also walk into a store demanding meal for free, because other people pay for it and eat it? Absurd!
Now… your own concern is somewhat valid. Yes some builds are not good in the current meta, but ask yourself the question: Was it really any different, before HoT? There always are and there always will be superior builds who will dominate the pvp scene, this is not something new that happened only after HoT released. This is how a competitive environment work out, if you want to be competitive you need to adapt to the current viable builds and now HoT once dominate the scene and thats how its going to be for a while. Every class have atleast 3 viable builds right now that plays differently – I call this good build diversity, the balance is the best that has been for a while. Just because your favourite build isn’t viable at the moment, it doesnt mean there is lack of build diversity.

Before u buy the game 3 years ago anet was promising this thing exactly.
I manage to be legendary Div ( i post photo) by playing core Support Guard not DH . I did that cause i am good and by playing solo games.
My complain is a normal player can’t play core support Guard.
Before HoT was viable not META but viable. I never said (and almost never follow META) i want my builds be META . Is a difference between be viable and be META. I leave META pro players.

To all the people complaining that core specs are not as strong as elite specs: This is precisely the way it is supposed to be. How disappointing do you think this addon would be if elite specs would be equally strong to regular specs, thus being rarely picked up? Imagine all the addon basically changing nothing for most specs. Don’t make people that buy the game be disappointed because a few players who can’t be bothered to spend 40 bucks / 20 bucks.
If you think Anet should just make non hot specs and hot specs equally strong then you are deluded. We just had the first season where most classes are finally somewhat equall. Do you really think they could manage to balance two specs per class?
Yes that is what i won’t ! New expansion suppose to give more features in game . New classes new contain etc . Not cancel all the old stuff but give u more choices in game. If they can’t keep them in balance better change job . Example : When AMD or Nvidia launches new GPUs do they stop support old ones? Of course not! We don’t talk about the very old models but they series just before new ones. And the core is just that.
Anything else is bad business plan and shows that they don’t care and respect customers.
