Why Still No First Person View?

Anet, you have a gorgeous game, and I want to see it! It’s frustrating having to pan around your toon just to get a good view at your surroundings. We could barely even see the toxic tower from the ground, or the queens pavilion, or the zephyr sanctum. Not to mention any large world boss.

Before you make any more amazing content that is gorgeous to look it, please implement an ability for us to actually look at it properly! It’s a feature in most MMOs now days and can’t possible be this hard to implement.

Fix now please! I want to see Tyria!

Is Anyone Else Excited to finally...

Is anyone else here FINALLY excited to have a serious content update? Think about it…

  • Flame and Frost: Russian mole people, can’t take that seriously even if the plot was supposed to be serious
  • Lost Shores: kind of serious, but you’re fighting a bunch of crabs for tourist privileges
  • SAB: Nope
  • Dragon Bash: Nope
  • Cutthroat Politics: Nope
  • Bazaar: Nope
  • Queens Speech: Somewhat serious, but having Briar as the villain and cut scenes like where Faren tries to save the queen made it goofy again.
  • Twilight: Can’t really take Scarlet Briar seriously…she’s the comedy relief as well as the main bad guy so meh.

But FINALLY after seeing the new video it seems like we’re finally having a serious content update. The content they’ve been adding has been great, but all the cheese they pack into it is getting absolutely ridiculous… For once I’d like to feel like I’m actually in an RPG and not a cartoon. Here’s hoping that they keep the mood dark through this one.

Was it Really a Good Trade?

So it’s been over a year. If this game had followed the same path they took in GW1, around this time we would have had a whole new expansion added to the game full of new PERMANENT content, new classes, new races, furthering the dragon story line, maybe added UW, or Cantha, or Elona.

Instead of that however, we’ve gotten a ton of gimmicky, slightly entertaining but overall underwhelming content (most of it reused with scavenger hunts, etc) that is totally removed from the main dragon plot, and injects random sub plots that are pulled out of the devs butts and are killing GW lore.

Was the living story experiment really worth it? I don’t think it was a good trade at all…

Anet Logic: Temporary > Permanent

Temporary Distractions > Permanent Improvements

Anet logic. We don’t want events that happen once, or even once a year that aren’t even that memorable. Focus your time on what people spend most of their time in game doing. Fix dungeons, fix PvP, fix WvW…… This living story BS is getting ridiculous…

More Chest RNG Weapons

Gee…I’m so glad that Anet took an amazing franchise and turned it into a money grubbing RNG fest. Remember when cool items used to cost time, and not money… Glad to see all the people running around with these weapons and know that they spent no effort to get them at all, but instead just opened their wallet.

SPvP needs a real game impact.

SPvP needs to have some impact on your real-game character. Whether this is some way to gain gold, dailies giving laurels, or perhaps even some form of experience gain. There is no real motivation for people to SPvP besides to further increase their SPvP toon, which while it’s the same character, is left completely separate for some reason.
