This game doesn’t even feature Guild Halls. WvW is just a bad excuse for the lack of gvg. After a week of playing in it, wvw just becomes tedious and boring.

Maybe this is the perfect time to introduce guild halls so guild missions can be instanced.

I want my 800 gems + my hairstyle kit + phoenix armor set + mask of the crown back. >:-(

They better make the new flamekiss set look really good and NOT clip with the hairstyle I chose after I bought the skin. 800 gems is not enough compensation!

Patone gets banned rather more than usual I hear, but everytime he goes missing in action, the entire server feels it. We get actually worried when we hear rumors like this seeing that we do realize how valuable he is to the server. I heard someone even say he wants to be a commander because he was inspired by him. I really would doubt any of the legit wvw guild leaders would do this to him as he is very reputable although sometimes controversial.

If they really planned on introducing ascended gear at the release of the game, then we probably wouldn’t be having this mess of time-gated, inconsistent currencies and just plain poorly implemented style of item acquirement.

I’d say your plan needs a bit of work, unless you’re able to get Mordrem within either of the three cities.

They already implemented the itemspiral when they added ascended.. Sure it wasn’t exactly like the other MMO’s where an entire set is introduced. They just did it gradually. Starting from rings and backpieces, then amulets, then earrings, now we have to grind for new weapons, and lastly armors. It’s just a different take on the same thing.

People who came from GW1 will understand. I don’t expect the rest of you folks who defend them to get it.

Where can I find them so I can use them as my PC’s wallpapers? I haven’t seen all of them since I haven’t played story mode extensively yet.

I don’t remember who I saved first, I just attacked the mordrems closest to me. But I distinctly remember that I saved Phlunt LAST. I would’ve let him die if it made a difference.

customer support got back to me, they will not be offering a way to get back an old T3 skin, if you want it back after the change, you will have to rebuy the skin. the only thing that will be offered is the refund of 800 gems and an automatic reskin when the new one is put in.

To be honest, you DO deserve at least those item appearance restoring things. At least you should get them even if they don’t offer them to you, so you can go back to your old look without that much of an expense.

Transmutation splitters will only revert the armor back to the original (in this case, the exotic one) + the current skin. That means people will have to spend another 100g+ again + stones to get their T3 EXOTIC. That is just crazy. They better think of a better way to compensate for this mess.

And what about the people who overwrote another skin for the flamekissed one? They should get the look they had before transmuting to flamekissed back, NOT a COF set.

My problem with both sets is that they are obviously tailored for heavy users. I’ve tried all of the light armor combination with these two and only found 1 chest piece that doesn’t make the radiant shoulders/helm/gloves seem severely out of place.

I think these transfers are only important to those people who are so invested in wvw. With PvX players, servers hardly matter apparently.

It lasts around 7 min iirc then it cools down for 30.. it still is very very fun to use!

I hate to even bump this post, but seriously, what is the big deal? Yeah it’s a little weird that there appear to be VERY faint nipple outlines in a very anatomically incorrect place, but you have to strain and zoom and pan the camera so much to barely see them that it strikes me as people going out of their way to be offended. But I guess the world’s still not ready for boobs.

Anyways, I bought the light and heavy sets. Most unique set in game. Reminds me of twilight in armor form but blue. As others have said you need to start toning down the butt capes though. Normally I’d just use a different bottom but there aren’t really any that match this set.

It’s very recognizable for us who turns off postprocessing. I’m not offended by it, just annoyed by the fact that it’s there. Nobody is asking for the armor to be removed or modified heavily as i’ve said.

@Vayne: It’s not that I don’t appreciate what it’s doing for the community because I do see how many people enjoy MOST of the new content. I just think there should be more focus on fixing and pushing forward what’s already there rather than introducing temporary activities and mini-games that has very little pertinence to the main plot [particularly, the lack of competitive content that ties in with pve and lore a bit more cohesively (whether via factions or something) is something that I hope gets addressed soon.] The initial buzz it generates ultimately isn’t enough to compensate for what is lacking in the game in a bigger picture for me. For example, I have lost interest in the living story in general, and only do the achievements arbitrarily for the sake of being rewarded, paying no attention to what it’s about.

You are entirely correct though that this particular opinion of mine is probably not the most popular, and that it (monthly temporary contents and updates) may be what the game needs in order to secure its longevity.

Oh please do not introduce higher stat infusions. As minute as they are, it still some form of gear treadmill which I thought they wouldn’t do anymore. Increase agony resistance or whatever, but please leave stats alone. A lot of people have been upset with the introduction of ascended equipments already. Adding costly infusions that give better stats would probably leave more people dissatisfied with the game.

QFT. All these people saying you don’t HAVE TO get ascended equips are just being dismissive. we don’t HAVE TO get exotics, we have masterwork, and yet why is everybody chasing after them?

Iirc I’ve only had 2 keys drop normally for me from mobs in 5k hours of gametime. :/ It felt like I got a precursor or something.

Every month I spend $20 on gems. Except for one or two foolish times after launch they haven’t been for keys. I buy items with firm prices you can buy directly. If key farming is nerfed I still won’t be buying keys. The profit/loss from me to ANet will still be the same, but my feelings of losing a part of the game that I enjoyed and found mildly profitable won’t be positive. For me and ANet, that is a net loss.

Me too! I’m not even after things to sell from the chests, it’s just so unreliable as a source of income. I just find farming keys and opening a chest every time I finish to be fun. It’s what I do most of the time when I’m online. It’s the least stressful way to be a bit productive when online imho since I don’t have to rely on anyone to do it, and I have absolute control on time management.

Yeah, their pre-launch publicity repeatedly spoke about Exotic as the highest tier, with Legendary having the same stats. So, you (and ANet, apparently) would rather I believe that Ascended was always supposed to be in the game. This means that they said one thing while planning something else entirely. You do realize that makes them look worse than if they said, “We know we said X, but we didn’t anticipate certain things, and for the good of the game we’re going to have to change horses in mid-stream.”

I was able to craft my entire Ascended Armor set the day it was released. Unfortunately, the transmutation stones wouldn’t allow me to transmute my exotic armor skin (berserker armors with Flamekissed light armor skin) along with the runes attached to it (Divinity Runes). I had to purchase transmutation splitters to split the skin and runes first, then buy transmutation stones in order to transfer the Flamekissed light armor skin to my ascended. My question is if this is intentional or a bug. Because atm, I think the requirement of buying transmutation splitters along with transmutation stones in order to transfer a skin and runes are a bit hefty on top of crafting to 500 plus crafting the entire ascended set.

I actually think Anet is getting the message, and is gradually releasing less and less content every two weeks, and in my opinion, that is a step in the right direction. I’d really much rather have them release new content in longer intervals..

I don’t understand why they made the human light T3 cultural armor accessible for all races. :/ why not just the T1 instead?
