Policy on the LFG Tool

I think it can be simplified like this:

“If you are not going to do stuff together for at least a some minutes, then you should not use the LFG tool for it.”

So, someone looking for people to help them do Goemm’s Lab or The Long Run would be allowed since they’ll have to be together between checkpoints, but someone just sitting next to the chest on Skipping Stones and cashing in from portals would not be allowed.

It’s true that there could be many more alt-friendly features, but account-bound currencies are definitely NOT unfriendly.

With account-bound stuff, you can do things with the character you want, and any other character can benefit from that.

That’s alt-fiendly.

No RP servers? That's pretty pathetic.

No.

What is pathetic is having servers with different rulesets, like ‘PK servers’ or “start at level 80” servers, or RP servers, that take more resources to balance and do not give much in return.

It spreads and divides the playerbase. And since the people who take roleplaying seriously is negligible compared to those who RP casually or do not RP at all, they’ll be effectively making a separate new game that requires way more resources for a few people who do not pay more than other players, which would be quite stupid.

All you need to RP is other players who RP, a chat a setting and some imagination, and we already have that.

Personally, I dislike RP in online videogames because people always go beyond the boundaries of the setting and make up stuff that do not fit the world or the characters at all, since there’s no master telling them otherwise.

We need a variable schedule. Someone who only has one hour a day to play will only be able to fight in some of the events. That is too limiting.

To solve that the schedule should shift by an offset of 60 minutes each day so there’s a different one each day in the same allotment of time.

Also, all other events with bonus chests like the Commisar and the orrian temples should be added to the cycle. If there’s no room, just make some happen at the same time. If there’s worry that people will go to one of them only, increase the refresh of those that happen at the same time to 2 days instead one, so people go to the other one too.

The main problem is not if it’s doable now or not.

They made it harder mid-event, and not everyone will have time to adapt to that.

That leaves a bad precedent that tells people: “Do every single gimmick, exploit and cheat as soon as you can, before they fix it, those that do that get to keep the reward, those that try to do things as intended will get a harder time”.

Now those who have the achievement have no merit, because anyone can assume they cheated.

They screwed up and made it easier.
The fair thing do it is keep that easy method so it’s not unfair, and keep in mind of the next time so that doesn’t happen again.

This is one of the best minigames ArenaNet has ever made, how can anyone dislike music?
The sylvari does tell you “the musically inclined”, but you don’t have to be a Bemani virtuoso for this one.

You have to activate the skill right after the visual effect does a little jump.
Press too soon or too late and you’ll take damage. Press at the right time, and you’ll be healed.
It’s a good idea to experiment when you get healed after you press, sincce the timing may be different from your computer because of lag.
I found that often If you press nothing, you do not take damage. So when you have low HP.

Just stay calm and let the music take control.

Combat:

  • We already have combat mounts. For example, siege golems. Your model doesn’t show, but it’s a combat mount. That’s how mounts are done in GW and GW2: They change your skills, and can be used only within a limited context, and you don’t get to own them and bring them with you everywhere all the time.

Package:

  • We have bags. Lots of bags. And waypoints to banks. And banker consumables.

Showcase:

  • We already got minis for showing off critters.

Cultural

  • There’s no signs any beast of burden or pet is exclusive to any race. There’s norn raising moas, charr catching dolyaks, sylvari using bulls, asura using tree hearts…

Mounts should be something you get for a mission, instance or event, and when you are done with the stuff, its gone with the content.

Dragon's Gaze achievement mistake

The problem is the Dragon Kick.

It’s so kitten slow that there’s just no time between you seen someone activating it and you activate it, so you will always hit after anyone finishes activating anything, so the achievement is all about luck and nothing but luck.

If anyone tells you they can consistently interrupt with that skill, they are lying.

Temporary achievements that require dumb luck to get them should never exist.

I would go as far as removing any achievement basedo n luck and nothing but luck.

PvP 3 wishes -what do you want most in PvP?

in PvP

1. PvP modes without capture points. No need to breakthroughs in creativity. Good ’ol modes like these would do just fine:

  • Free for all annihilation. Just for fun available only in custom arenas. No scoring.
  • Juggernaut. Another just for fun. A single player is greatly enlarged and given massively high stats and HP, and a set of fixed skills. And it’s that player vs the rest.
  • Team annihilation.
  • Team annihilation with priests.
  • Capture the Orb: Each base has an orb that must be captured and brought to the other base to score.
  • Orb run (like GW1’s relic run): Each base has an orb, and it must be brought to a central point or to their NPC (e.g.: ghostly hero)
  • Pressure: Two rounds, on each round a team attacks by helping an invulenrable NPC get to the enemy base while the enemy team tries to stop them, the NPC moves when it is ‘captured’ by having people of their team nearby.
  • Double pressure: The same, but instead two rounds, two NPCs walk to the enemy base, and both teams must attack and defend at the same time.
  • Commanders’ Defense: 5vs5. Players must try to defend NPCs so they get to the enemy base, destroying buildings on their way. Players do increased damage on the NPCs, but decreased on the buildings, and they also take greatly increased damage from them. The NPCs do increased damage and take less damage from buildings. Damage between players is normal.

2. Hall of Heroes brought back. This time linked to WvW orbs. An orb in a keep provides access to the hall of heroes from that keep and 3 slots for HoH for their world. Each map gets 1 slot always active and 9 other slots, in 3 orbs. In the Battlegrounds the one portal is in the Castle and the orbs are controlled by Epic bosses. In the Borderlands the 1 portal is in each world’s citadel, 1 orb spawns by the northern pedestal, and the other 2 protected by epic bosses.

3. The Zaishen and Dessa working together to provide us Guild Fractals. Allowing both GvG and guild fighting to get ‘endorsement’ from PvE locations (much like Alliances getting control on outposts in Factions, but with GvG battles instead gathering faction). Controlled locations in PvE maps have cheaper costs for their waypoint and a few services at a small discount, like 5% off basic tool and kit vendors.

Get higher, and higher, and you unlock the levels of the achievement.
There could be checkpoints after certain spots, but if you log out, you have to start again from the bottom.

Now, at the top of the puzzles like that there should be something really, REALLY worthwhile, like a Quaggan singing GW’s version of Bohemian Rhapsody or something.

Of course, camera and controls must be honed so they no longer give so much problems to so many people before even considering such a thing.

Stronghold, not GvG afterall

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

MithranArkanere.8957

That sounds pretty much like GW2’s version of GvG. It’s a very tactical game, and so it requires a bit more coordination and more combat roles. Something that will work neatly for a guild to show how well they know each other an work together.

So you can’t win must by running around in circles on a capture point like headless chickens, and can’t win by forming a swarm like brainless insects and see who can stay together better and spam more skills and stack more effects in less time.

Now, the thing is how many players will this mode take by default. It it’s 8, we may get people going all out together on the offense line and just push that, and that may work and it’ll be undesirable, so it may be better to reduce it. I guess they’ll have to find the sweetspot in which people properly split between the lanes and have 1-2 players roaming.

CDI- Character Progression-Horizontal

I’m loving what Diablo III is doing with their transmigration system in their expansion. There’s a basic set of skins, then you unlock extra skins from legendary items you find from drops.7

Once unlocked, there’s a fee for applying the skin to any compatible item.

There’s already a quite decent number of exotics with unique skins, and a lot of armors, and of course legendary weapons.

But with the current system, most people make the one thing they were aiming for, maybe an alternate set, and that’s it. One will not spend in a lot of transmutation stones to keep switching constantly, that would be insanely expensive.

But if transmutation was converted from an unitary system you pay per use to an unlock system, once you’ve got a item you liked, knowing you can go back any time to previously unlocked stuff, there’s no reason to stop there. There will be always a reason to make a different legendary, or craft a new exotic from mystic forge, or aim towards another nice rare exotic that may drop.

Unlocks are always better

I also think there should be a bit more reasons to travel all over the world and do different things. Currently one can get a steady amount of coin just by sitting in 3 spots.
Why would anyone go to the Demagogue, then go kill the Troll Champion in Snowden Drifts then go all the way to Fields of Ruin when they’ll get more or less the same if they just sit on Queensdale?

Maybe there could be a system that automatically generates random “quests”. You talk with a herald, they tell you to speak with a random NPC.
NPC gives you a few tasks, like:
1. “Go get me item X from this champion.”
2. “Go ask this NPC for item Y”. When you find the NPC, they asks for help, and send you to one of the nearby events currently active, and then gives you the item after you complete it.
3. “Go ask this another NPC about a third item”. Third NPC tells you it has been stolen. Go beat these enemies until you find the one that got it".
Ding. You get a reward for getting him those items, and the NPC makes you another offer.
Bring X, Y and Z to a dungeon explorable, and the NPC will join the dungeon and wait at the entrance, telling you to watch out for a certain spot. When you find and clear the spot from enemies, the NPC comes and tells you to wait while he does his thing, and at the end of the bonus event, you get an additional reward, which could be anything, from a stack of a certain consumable cooked in Caudecus Manor with ingredients you obtained to an exotic forged in Sorrow’s Embrace with materials you gathered.

The whole thing seems like a single thing, but it’s actually a composite from a series of small and simple events added all over the game, many of them reusing already existing content.

I also think traveling the world should be linked to obtaining skills.
There should be 3 ways:
- Just with skill points in the hero panel. The fastest when one already has the skill points.
- Using skill tomes. Each time a character learns a skill, it becomes ‘unlocked’ account wide. In PvP no other character would need to unlock it again they’ll get it after one character unlock it. In PvE, it would be cheaper for the rest of the characters. Tomes would allow learning any unlocked skill without having to spend skill points. Tomes would be available from champion bags, boss chests, laurels and PvP chests. And they would be tradeable, and they would be the fastest way to build up a new character of a profession you have already mastered.
- Finding a trainer. Each skill that gets added to the game would be assigned to a trainer, including the existing trainers. Talking with the trainer will send you and the trainer to an instance in the Heart of the Mists, where you are given a temporary build, both skills and gear, and you are given an event that requires understanding the skill to complete it (For example, with arcane brilliance you are given a water field, 5 low HP enemies spawn around you and you get burning on you. To survive, you need to put down the water fiend and use arcane brilliance at the right time so kill the enemies with it, and you heal enough to survive the burning). Some skills would be a bit harder to get, from trainers in higher level areas, or that become available only after an event is completed. This third method would be the slowest way to get more skills, but it would be the cheapest, and the one that better teaches players about the skills.

Removing it from WvW it’s a good idea. There’s gear vendors if you need some quick getup (it still needs back items in those vendors, though), and we don’t really need people wasting time crafting, we want them scoring.

The PvP lobby is to ‘close’ to LA to get crafting stations. You can just walk through the gate to get to the ones at LA.

But Guild Halls could use the stuff, they are too empty right now.

The guild hall is currently ‘missing’ at least all other 8 crafters, Black Lion Trading agent, Bank NPC (although scribe and the guild vault have access to bank), and NPCs that can only be found in the Guild Initiative HQ like the Commendation and Favor traders.

The nature of magic

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

MithranArkanere.8957

Nah. Magic does not make anything work contrary to their nature.

It just changes natures.

Everything is made out of energy. Matter is a form of energy. Magic is another form. They are basically three sides of the same thing. All is just eternal alchemy.
Just one thing manifesting itself in different ways.

When you freeze water, it is no longer liquid. When you boil it, it becomes gas.
Same with magic. When you apply magic, you change the nature of matter, energy, time and space at a fundamental level, and so their behavior changes.
You can make matter generate energy. You can make energy generate matter. You can make magic generate energy and matter, and same with matter and energy. Picture a triangle with six arrows, two of each go from each vertex to the other two.

Our world doesn’t have “magic”, it’s not part of the fabric of our reality. Magic is not part of the rules of our universe, but it’s part of many fantasy universes.
People make rituals and spells, and they work, but so did many people with things that are not explained with moder science like engineering and medicine.

Apply science to magic, and you’ll be able to make devices that work on magic and produce magic effects, just like asura do.

Logic still works. It’s like with quantum physics. Classic physics may no longer work at a quantum level, but that doesn’t mean there’s no rules and logic. There’s rules and logic, just OTHER rules and logic.

Event failure and toxic behavior

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

This has been happening for way too long, and it still happens.

Some players are doing their own thing, getting map rewards from events, then some squad comes along with a large number of players, upscale the event, ignore the objectives to force it to fail, and worse of all, harass anyone who just wants to play the game as intended.

They are exploiting that some events recharge faster and spawn more enemies that drop loot at the expense of the fun of other players.

This needs to stop. Players harassing other players, forcing them to fail and falsely reporting them for playing the game as intended happening even once is once too many times.

No event should reset faster when failed. No benefit should come from failing.

This also includes giving any reason to fail events or benefit from failing, such as collections that can only be completed by doing events that happen after a failed event.

Accidentally lost an item for any reason?
You’ll have to pay again! If you can pay at all, he may remove the item altogether and you won’t be able to get it again, even though you already paid for it!

And it can be easy to make a mistake, since transmuted items show with the wrong skin in vendors, and deleting a character won’t warn you if the character had any lifetime missable items when you delete it. And lots of other stuff may happen. It doesn’t matter how you may lose it. It may happen.

EVERYTHING.

I want to know everything.

But I guess we’ll have to be specific…

And since all my questions won’t fit in a post, I’ll just pick a few at random. So.. are there any plans for any of these.

Is there any chance it’ll have anything to do with the Commande badge, with features like

  • Having the Commander commands in some sort of floating mini panel instead having chat commands as the only way to use them?
  • A way to have sub-commanders connect several squads into one so one commander can lead more people and delegate tasks to appointed sub-commadners?
  • Unlock additional map icons to issue orders, commadner skills, commander badges, colors ,etc.
  • Affect NPC behavior to some degree.
  • Some sort of ranking system so commanders with squad members doing more stuff like scoring for their world or completing successfully group events increase their ‘Commander rating’ so other players can know this one commander knows their stuff?

If it’s just about helping newbies, will there be a way to have a ‘protégée’ system in which you select one friend and you accompany them while they do stuff, and as they do stuff and get achievements, you also get a 10% or so of their rewards, including Exp, Currencies and AP, so after monthly and daily AP get rolled finally into one, there’s still a third “Mentoring” AP entry in the AP summary, that caps at 1000AP per year since release, and that you increase by having a protegee and helping them get achievements you already got by being with them in the party.

And this:

Can I suggest a mini taimi available to all with a portion of profits going to a multiple sclerosis related charity?

Things like Pink Day in LA prove that gamers care. I’m not against giving any players something, but I’m against giving exclusive stuff to anyone, not even devs. With very rare exceptions like Gayle Gray’s Frog minis.

Another idea would be something closer to the actual Scruffy. A toy players can equip with a skill that makes the character ride on top of a golem similar to Mr Sparkles, kind of like the skill to ride the broom in the Enchanted Broom.

Put it in the store, say part or all of the profit will go to a charity, and you’ll see that many people will get it…

…although it’ll be better if it was an account unlock. Unlocks are always better.

Players with Titles: YOUR impression(s)?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

  • Favorite: God Walking Among Mere Mortals.
    • Why? Because is the one that better describes the character that dons it. He was alive back in GW1, and he’s actually the very same character that earned the title in GW1, although he has been taking the identity of orphans deceased in wars and cataclysms and the like over the years, keeping the secret by making his previous identity adopt the new identity to keep his wealth and nobility titles. He is keeping it a secret because he doesn’t know why he doesn’t age anymore. Probably only someone in the Order of Whispers suspect anything about it. And he joined the Priory to have a chance to look at the stuff stored there, since there may be something who belonged to him back when he lived in Ascalon that may explain his situation.
  • Want? It depends on the character. For example, my asura usually show “Champion Genius”, charr usually have “Champion legionaire”, thieves “Shadow” or “Dark Traveler”, my sylvari necromancer has “Rift Warden”, and my revenants will probably have titles with the word “Mists” in them, and so on.
  • Like? I don’t care much about the titles other players have. I just use them as part of the theme of the character.
  • Dislike? The Blazing Light. Well, not the title, but the attitude of some players about it. I’m yet to find anyone who didn’t get it by using some build gimmick, yet they act as if they got it with actual skill rather than following some cheap guide.
  • Design: “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better” and “I Can Do Anything Better Than You”.
    • “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better” is actually 9 titles, one per profession, the achievement includes the name of the profession, but not each title, because the title is unique in that only characters of the professions that have unlocked their respective title can show it.
Each one is unlocked by performing a series of actions. Effects from combos, sigils, runes and environmental weapons also count. The list of actions includes but is not limited to:
      • Dealing each condition.
      • Giving each boon at least to oneself.
      • Causing each control effect.
      • Getting Invulnerability, Quickness and Stealth.
      • Summoning a creature.
      • Defeating every world boss in the game.
      • Completing every dungeon path.
      • World completion.
    • “I Can Do Anything Better Than You” is unlocked by unlocking all 9 versions of “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better”.

Mad Memories is back!

Personally I think ANet should consider putting these items back in game every holiday.

The wardrobe makes many people completionists. Having gaping holes in your wardrobe that you are unable to fill because you weren’t playing back then or because you deleted the item back before there was a wardrobe (since inventory space was becoming an issue with more backpieces than you might have characters to wear them) is frustrating to these people.

The Mad Memoire scavenger hunt was well received and ANet should think about bringing it back each year for all the people who want this item
.

They should put the stories in the journal as temporary holiday story missions you can play with each character. Then you give 1 token for Halloween story 1 (Shadow of the Mad King) , 2 for bonus achievements of story 1, and let people use them to get either the past rewards (1 token mad memoires, 2 tokens complete edition) or new ones (cobs, ToT bags, recipes, etc). Same for Halloween Story 2. If a new story is added in a Holiday, another chapter to the holiday story is added.

Then you can play them once for the max rewards, replay for achievements, and then replay with other characters for lesser rewards.

Something similar to how festival quests work in GW1.

Having the system not using it for things like these is a waste!

In Diablo III at least you have a Town Portal and a salvage all.

Here you hae to go clickity-click with everything.

“Hey, maybe I’ll click the bag icon with the salvage pointer and try to salvage everything in the bag…”

Nope! Click all the things!

Standard Models And Multiples

Or there could be 5 variations of each model, that only change the chest or leg armor, and leave the rest the same.

Maybe in colors. Keep the main color the team’s colors, then then other 1-3 colors-

This would increase the amount of models to take care of, though.

Heroes of the Storm Has Your Solution ANET

in PvP

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

MithranArkanere.8957

There’s simply no other solution.

  • Those queued in teams of 5 go mostly against teams of 5, unless there’s not enough pre-made teams.
  • Those queue solo go mostly against solo teams.
  • Those queued in parties of 2 go with solo teams.
  • Solo teams can never have more than one couple. That is, they are either 5 solos, or 3 solos and 1 couple.
  • Can’t queue in parties of 3 or 4. Those will have to either get more to fill the party, or split if they want to queue.
  • When a solo team is matched against a premade team, losing has reduced impact for the solo team, and more for the pre-made, and winning has more impact for the solo team and less for the pre-made.

No matter how hard anyone thinks, they won’t come up with a better solution to make matching more fair. Queues of 3 and 4 have to go, matching must go mostly against similarly composed teams. Anything else will not be reasonable.

So I ended up on the GW1 wiki emote page...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

MithranArkanere.8957

Many of those are alternate commands for the same emote.

And ALL of them are recognized by GW2.

When you input an invalid command, you get a red message. With those, you get nothing. Not chat line, no movement, no error.

So they are recognized commands that do nothing.

In any case, there’s 3 emotes we NEED in GW2. Not want, not “it would be nice to have”. We NEED them. We have a true, real and physically recognizable NEED for them:

  • /doh
  • /fistshake
  • /shoo

We must have them, whatever it takes.

There were only two animation rigs in GW1, male and female.[…]

No. there were 10. Each profession-gender combination had its own emotes. A male necromancer didn’t dance like a female necromancer, and a female mesmer didn’t dance like a female elementalist. While a few emotes were shared for the same gender across professions, not all of them were.

Ghillie Suit utility skill?

in Ranger

MithranArkanere.8957

This should be the effect for Signet of the Hunt when you use it.

Speed for passive. Slow stealth for active.

I agree. But not slow stealth. Immobile stealth. Something like up to 10-20 seconds or until you move.

A bit more damage in a few attacks is not useful enough to lose the speed, but if you can stealth in place for a long time unless you move, there may be no reason to run at all.

Run to a corner, hide on it. Ding. No need to run. And a reason for people to stick around searching in keeps after conquering them is always neat. That is always fun.

in Suggestions

The first rule of the Test Krewe is that you don’t talk about the Test Krewe, so even if there was a Test Krewe, they would not be able to tell you.

If there is not, then the main reason must be legal. Like not being able to enforce a NDA in some countries, risking leaks that would only do harm.

Movement - Runes, Traits, Passive skills

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

MithranArkanere.8957

Not all professions need to have passive speed boosts in combat. Some professions are not meant to run around as much and as easily as others.

But out of combat, things can get slow unlees you bring passive boosts. You may often arrive at places after players who ran faster have already killed everything and completed the event. And bringing them just because you want to run faster is kind of annoying, and limits your builds. You may rather bring something else instead that passive speed boost.

So, at very least, the passive movement while out of combat should be increased to the same as while running with swiftness while out of combat: 33%. That will also stop charr from looking stupid when they run out of combat without speed boosts, running in all fours in slow motion. Norn also look horribly slow out of combat.
Swiftness would effectively do absolutely nothing while out of combat, since it would not go past the speed cap.

There could even be a core mastery available to all even if they do not have HoT, with relatively low exp requirements to max each track.

For example:

  • Mastery name: “Traveling”
    • The first level would increase the existing passive speed boost while out of combat in PvE and WvW to the max: 33% movement speed, so there’s no need to carry other passive speed boosts, but combat is not affected.
    • The second one will give 50% fall damage reduction in PvE areas without having to trait it. For WvW traiting it would still be required.
    • The third would give a permanent 33% discount on the waypoints of the map your character is currently in.
    • The 4th would unlock the ability to use contested waypoints by paying 10 times the cost.
    • The last would make all the waypoints within cities your character has 100% explored free or charge from anywhere in the same continent.

[Suggestions] Gemstore Items

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Rather than having swimwear as an outfit, I’d prefer having swimwear customization, but right now we only have this:

  • Diving Goggles
  • A small beach in Southsun.

These force you into underwear, because we are poor and we don’t have swimsuits.

So underwear is our default swimwear, and swimwear customization would allow us to customize our underwear replacing it with swimsuits, and dye it.

But for swimwear customization to make sense, more places need to be added to put you in swimwear mode, because there’s too few right now. Just diving goggles and a beach.

For example:

  • Hot springs (like Zelechor Hot Springs), healing springs (like the oasis in the wastes) and other pools of water in places with no prominent combat, where you can /sit and get a little boon effect for a long time, like healing over time and vigor.
  • Lion’s Arch seaside beach bar and other relaxation areas in cities where people could go in swimwear, like swimming pools, the Grove’s ponds, saunas and hot springs and the like.
  • Crab Toss.
  • Southsun Survival.
  • New beach activities or adventures scattered all over the world on sea and river shores.

But I don’t think swimwear should be ever used for outfits.

Why is silk going up in price?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MithranArkanere.8957

MithranArkanere.8957

Sounds to me like two independent issues being discussed.
1. Aggregate price for silk and market velocity
2. Farming for individual mats is hard

I would argue that these issues aren’t actually related and shouldn’t be discussed as if they were.

1. This one is just a result of sources of silk not compensating consumption in relation to other basic materials. So people see the other basic materials having prices more or less within reasoable ranges, then they look at cloth and go “Woah. Something’s definitely wrong here!”.

2. It is not simply ‘hard’. It is impossible unless the item has a guaranteed source like a node. Just look at the occasional post asking about ecto salvage rate after they did a full set of world bosses, salvaged all the rares and got barely any ecto. There must always be some minimum guaranteed sources for stuff. Like a vendor with a limited stock that allows people to buy a limited amount daily; gathering nodes; certain events that always provide at lest one of something on success like the Toxic Offshoot events; vendors that pop after events also with a limited stock; ‘consolation price’ tokens you can exchange for the stuff you want if the content never drops what you want, and so on.

Then some items simply lost their sources at all, like Azurite Orbs which very rarely drop from mithril nodes in a single fractal, if ever. At least those should be dropping as rare materials from orichalcum in Southsun Cove or Obsidian Sanctum or something. Or they’ll just keep going up.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

MithranArkanere.8957

Why? All you’ll get with that is merely narrowing the leveling experience. Getting lots of things in less time.

You’ll be basically dividing everything by 4, and making 4 times the same stuff pop on level up.

If you want to level up alts faster, the game gives already plenty of ways to do that.
