Let me spoil it for you, a bottle.
If you want to range you can also safespot and go eat biscuits.
Could someone explain how leveling crafting to 500 is not a grind?
I honestly don’t get it how you can run Arah like 10 times a day with bosses who can barely touch you. And then one fractal run is end of the world.
Well, looks like you didn’t. Because in GW1 you can’t swap people mid-instance making running much harder than normal playing (which is how you can do it in GW2).
I think removing thrash mobs might make skipping bit too easy. But I’m sure some people would still fail with it.
People are seriously discussing about adding crafting to fractals in the CDI topic. I hope I’m just hallucinating but I fear the worst.
Once I had so good pug team carrying me that none of them took any damage on Lupicus. I think even some of them were first timers.
Well, some of them were afk and they all stood outside while I soloed it but that doesn’t make it less impressive!
The random elements are not objectively bad.
They are bad for hard difficulty because eventually your ability to progress depends on getting right fractals.
My suggestion also included daily fractal quest with random fractals which would be equal to current daily rewards.
Its ok, and even reccomended that some facet of a game be beyond a single players control.
I think it would be fine however to let people select fractals for some type of limited fractal mode, but the main progression and rewards should be based around having to adapt to the unknown.
It’s not really unknown once you have played fractals few times. You know all available options so there isn’t really anything to adapt.
It’s a fact that with high enough difficulty the ability to progress is solely dictated by which maps you get. That’s something I don’t see worth recommending.

If they added content which required some kind of brain activity most people wouldn’t be able to complete it. They would cry rivers regardless of how innovative, creative and awesome the content was.
Yes, I don’t understand that either. My Banner of Tactic gives valuable buffs and boost to my team so we won’t get one-shot by the enemies.

A proper DPS meter would actually show how bad stacking warriors is.
A proper DPS meter wouldn’t just show how much damage your character is dealing. It would show how much offensive support you give, how much defensive support you give, how much control you give and so on.

Ok, tell me without the emotion, what kind of help you need?

If you want to be cheap you can pull Ascalonian out of the circle without killing them at all.
Generally people are calculating effective power, something like:
(attack + critical immersion) * (critical chance + 50%) * (2 * toughness + vitality – 5) + (healing shouts/scholar runes + 0.41)^2
This gives you a number that allows you to compare damage, assuming you aren’t elitist.
Fixed.

The biggest issue for me is that I want to play difficult content. And to reach that I have to play lower scales. If I understood your definition correctly you would classify that as a grind.
I agree FGS is an exploit and should be fixed. Also ban all dungeon sellers because selling is an exploit. Then also fix stacking and remove dodge so we have to tank stuff. Also triple all healing so we can have good teamwork and no zerk autoattack spam. Add crafting stations to dungeons where people can craft some powerful weapons to help with bosses.
PS: I got your back. Good job!
But hey, we must prove ourselves!
It’s not really about who has the strongest mechanic. It’s about how that profession has been balanced with that mechanic.
Burst skills have pretty much received only nerfs during these two years. I think the change is good but if warrior was supposed to be balanced then there should be a compensation.
Not only that, but today in the ascalon fractal I was messin around with abe, nova and stoya and the ritual began before we were done clearing the middle of siege/mobs.
We had captain ashym in the middle with all the kitten ballistas and arrow carts etc. -.-
We didn’t even do the ritual. It did it on its own.
Ballistas will knock Shaman away from middle so Ascalonians can’t find him!
Scepter on a Warrior?
No.
What, seriously? What happened? I liked how he was pretty open in his posts, and I was interested to see wha he would do for his next content.
Perhaps too open!
WvW players have much less health than enemies we consider thrash.
Just FYI, Attack isn’t actually a real stat. It is calculated from Power + Weapon strength and that value isn’t even used in damage calculations (it is Power * Weapon strength). Big part of your damage comes from Precision and Critical Damage and those aren’t included in Attack.
PVT gets better Attack than PPC (because some consumables/conversion traits give Power based on Vitality and Toughness) but that doesn’t prove anything.

That happens if someone uses the second waypoint before he activates the portal.
I bet Anet is bit annoyed at dungeons. There is no point trying to fix them because the effort has a higher gain when creating new content like raids. They also can’t just remove them because it would annoy lots of people.
Too much support and it becomes inefficient.
Too much damage and everyone becomes happy.
In decent teams it’s rarely a question about survivability but rather a question about clear-time. And then only purpose of support is to allow you do damage more. So don’t over-do it.
I have hard time believing you can remember all those thousands of items without recording any data. And if you can’t, then it’s just a gut feeling which doesn’t prove anything.
But anyways, here is some actual data:
300 uses on some green armor: 15 runes recovered → 5% chance to recover an upgrade.
