Dear ArenaNet,

I currently play on you Far Shiverpeaks server and spend most of my time in WvW. Now what I’m going to write is only from my experience of 8 months of playing WvW on EU servers.

Now from my PoV and many others your lack of interest into this game mode has almost come to a head, i.e simply stop playing your game.
Now I know many people have listed what is wrong with WvW before etc etc, but I going to list them again:

  • Server lags, WvW servers have been lagging for an age now. How I see it is simply lower the player limit on a map? 50 vs 50 vs 50 seems from what I’ve seen playing the game is what the servers can handle before the servers seem to get overloaded.
  • Population imbalance, now I can only speak for EU servers here, but we’ve simply got guilds and masses of people transferring to other servers just to 1. Look for more diverse fights and 2. To actually sort this population imbalance out because people have become fed up with your lack of interest and commitment to sorting your own problem out.
    A solution I see to this problem is to make transferring free for 1 month/30days. Completely scrap BL maps, and create a 1 new map (on top of the HoT map) but keep the tactical(ness) i.e terrain playing a factor whether that be siege placement or for that BIG push that the Borderland maps offers.
    A quick round up of things: 3 maps:
    Eternal Battlegrounds
    New map
    HoT map

Max 150 players playing on a server at one time or what ArenaNet truly feel that would prevent server imbalance and what it can handle without unplayable lag.
Imagine all 20 odd servers competing for 1st in the server rankings?

  • Siege, now I’ve got no problem with people jumping on siege to defend or attack a enemy structure. What I find ridiculous is the amount of siege you can place in e.g 1200 range. Now I’ve done zero research at all only from what I’ve seen from playing the game, but the amount of Arrow Carts you can fit into 900 range is unreal.
    I’d suggest e.g: say every 2000 range you can place 5 pieces of siege equipment, something along those lines.
  • Stability, This is the blood of the zerg/blob. Without this what happens? You die, simple. Now your preview video shows max 10-15 people running around like headless chickens. This simply is not the case in WvW, this is what I mean by ArenaNet being out of touch with this game mode.
    I’m not going to say the new stability is awful because its not been played enough with the determine that. But what I would say is don’t most people want to fight against a 60+ blob with 20-25 and actually win due to your individual and collective skill?
    Please just keep this in mind ArenaNet.

What Anet doesn’t understand is that other games are becoming “like” this game and when they get to a certain point (i.e. listening to players instead of ignoring them), people leave and don’t come back easily, if at all.

I could go on and on with even older games, all very lucrative in their times but losing faith with their gaming community one by one and turning success into a limping enterprise, depending on cash stores but no real efforts to improve the game for those who are outside the dev world.

WvW is the end game of Guild Wars 2. Nowhere else most of the “people” the same week after week, year after year, PvP can’t touch it and PvE is just the luck of the draw, you can’t get to know anyone on a megaserver.

The gamers who have spent over two years waiting for WvW to be fixed are now beset with issues they’ve never seen before and more hacking than ever before – reported all but these same players are still glitching across maps and doing things that are outside the parameters of the program.

Pets can’t be put on “don’t attack”, as soon as one attacks, regardless of the setting, the pet will attack. Nothing harms the community more than skills that aren’t working, especially when it’s a pet that can and will go astray and aggro something or someone you can’t afford to have aggro’d, not in WvW, pvE or PvP.

I agree… we’re being pushed out of WvW by Anet’s own hands and I can’t understand it at all.

HoD Does Not Want You: Seriously

Are the queues really that bad? Me and my friends were looking to transfer to HoD because our server is rather small and always get stomped by larger #s.

I have to answer since I am on HoD and a transferee from a larger server (wondering if it’s about the same now…).

Yes. there are queues – are they long? Yes.

Are they unmanageable? At times.

Reset night will be 100 deep to EB and 40 deep on the other maps and all other nights might have a short queue for EB alone but it’s not what I would call – yet – unplayable.

The only unplayable area is EB in a zerg – I doubt highly whether it’s going to be any difference on any server.

HoD has its trolls – and we have a bandwagon – but serious players will find a home here if they try.

Devona’s Rest was my second choice… still is – I am not convinced to stay because I, like many others, are looking for mentoring and companionship guild/group play but are finding looser groups during the bandwagoning – there just isn’t time as far as I can see for anyone to train now…

So now it takes only one person to completely kitten up your small 5 man havoc squad trying to ninja something when theres just one person inside..This is just,dumb..like really dumb.. now multiply that by 10,and thats how dumb this really is.

I really want to know why we don’t see Anet in WvW any longer….

So today I have been kicked out of a fractal party cause my dps was not maked out, they confirm using dps meter. So now people can use dps meter? So arenanet you change your mind? Can I ask a refund of my entire account cause I clearly remember back a couple year ago dps meter was illegal and thats was one of the reason I started playing this game. To avoid kittens players. If I recall the user agreement speak of this? Did anet change the user agreement without notice or I miss something?

Druids are overpowered in wvw

Druids are OP in wvw.

Feels like watching ele back in 2012~2013 but with more mobility , healing , kiting

Why is this class can stealth ,

heal more than support ele does ,

superior kiting range from 1200~1500 ,

hits hard even with stacked toughness and vitality ,

they are extremely hard to kill and hard to ignore/run from

Seriously some of class like druids , condi mesmers , condi trap thief makes wvw extremely boring and unhealthy to play

This is just more baloney.

Druids aren’t “OP” any more than any other well played character.

I’ve been bested by good characters of every kind while playing every other profession and Druids are by no means any more powerful or deadly than any other understood and maximized character with a human behind it who is thinking about the next move, very much like chess, only much faster.

I think the below screen caps you gave earlier…they’re gates into objectives.

These aren’t jumping puzzles though…they’re short cut routes in the new map.

The second picture is definitely a jumping thing – call it what you will but you must jump and that makes it impossible for many – those with depth preception problems, one eye, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, shall I go on?

The map in Skyhammer is hated because so many DO have such bad eyes and it’s totally not a game’s focus to care about people’s health – especially not their eyes. It’s not just the eyes, the camera angles are never “right” to be able to see those holes are open.

I am sorry the game will become one that was “the greatest game until…” if this keeps going – WvW is different than the rest of the game – and as such should be respected for what it is; a living community who asked that none of these things ever be brought to WvW.

And now here we get the back-hand of those who don’t care about this amazing-living community where there is some cooperation, a generous helping of leading, and was more fun, like many have said, when there weren’t all the “additions” that are now making it a “meta” joke to be in anything except the “approved” build and fight stance that your server demands or they exclude you and your different opinion.

As a community, we have asked time and again for WvW to be respected and this is what we get?

Why? What did we do wrong? Why punish the WvW community with doubtful and secretive changes that will add to an already complicated gaming environment? The stresses on WvW are many and steep now.

We love WvW – as one player said, EoTM? No way, it’s not WvW and EoTM pales in comparison.

Don’t add EoTM or PvP elements into WvW.

For those of you who heap scorn on those, like myself, who choose the solo path for reasons relating to real life issues, I challenge you: Take on one of us. Be understanding when we need to go AFK at inconvenient times. Don’t accuse us of leeching XP/rewards/whatever if we are AFK for extended periods.

I’d like to team to do these. I really would. But nothing in this forum, and nothing I’ve experienced in the past, shows me that, outside of my tiny crew, I’ll find anything but frustration and discourtesy. I have every sympathy for those who are in the same boat as me.

Here are the issues I have with your post:
- This is your situation and you have to deal with it. Not some random people you met today.
- You expect courtesy from strangers, yet can’t show them the same? I could never understand how smb can go in a dungeon with a pug group knowing that they might not be available for the run(emergencies happen, bio breaks happen, can’t see it coming, but when you know…). I’ve had issues that put me in such situation. And if I knew there is a chance I might have to leave(from pc/net issues through sick cat to on-call at work), I simply didn’t pug. Because I feel bad when I’m leeching(being afk while the rest are doing stuff and you get a reward for it is the definition of leeching) or making people wait on me)in case they can’t keep going without me).
- You say you are in it for the social aspect, right? Well, be social. Join a big guild, talk to people. Strangers don’t care. And you can’t expect them to, because they are, well, strangers. Guildies are somewhere between friends and strangers. Even if you never said a word to them, they are far more likely to accept and tolerate you(unless it’s impossible to progress without u), at least for a while.

I’ve never seen a more uncompassionate person in a MMO forum.

Apparently you’ve never had a disabled or dying person to take care of by yourself.

Meanness will never make this game better – you’d better grow up and learn some compassion soon.

Downed Skills $ Others Not Working

Two characters are hitting me.

I am targeting the one who is closest to me – right on top of my downed form.

I use my “downed” skill that supposedly knocks down the person targeted.

Please fix the tool time to tell the truth or get rid of the downed state period.

Many times lately my skills have not worked (not just downed skills) including pets – Here, my pet is running back and forth in a loop but not doing any attacking.

Happens all the time in WvW but NEVER, in PvE.

Get rid of the downed state if the skills aren’t going to help a player get up!

Fix pets so they fight or remove them

Is that the idea? Throw more rewards and shiny things at new and veteran players so hopefully nobody notices how this mode still has zero balance? How can you have a competitive game mode with the current state of balance? Rewards are great, but the power creep has gotten absurd. You do realize that there are many who have quit over the past year because the skill floor in the game has gotten to absolute zero right?

Failure to address the horrible balancing in the game mode will render the good will of trying to breathe new life into the game mode pointless. The short term excitement will revert back to the same old drab story about how awful it is to PvP in this game. I commend your efforts for trying to make WvW desirable. However, you have got to start balancing this mode. A start would be designating WvW as a separate balancing over the other modes.

I left about three months ago and as exciting as it is to see this new patch, I will not even bother coming back to the same old cheesy, low skill, low risk high reward combat that you have turned PvP into. I will be watching to see if balancing is addressed into the future.

Sugar coating is a nice way of putting it.

Many of us are playing this game and no other and watching as it is destroyed from inside.

WvW is just garbage in general. Stick with the smaller scale more well developed pvp in the game.

I don’t like pvp – cramped areas, bad camera angles, OP and one sided play.

WvW has potential – unlike anything in any MMO – nothing is like this.

But the glitches and cheats I saw just this morning make it a much more frustrating “thing” than it ever needs to be.

How in the world does the enemy jump OUT of my Citadel (not one SEVERAL)?

Why does a server that has 1/2 or less of the opposing team’s numbers compete even for a week without feeling totally dejected in not being able to keep a single camp with 15-20 guarding/camping at every single tower and camp or have 3-5 times that number running to that keep or tower that within a minute of calling.

I don’t like pvp – if I had known WvW was in GW2 from the beginning I’d be much farther ahead – as it is, I spent my first eight MONTHS in PvP almost exclusively – and the differences are many – five team members versus hundreds – I will keep my WvW and pray for the fixes needed for what is becoming very disheartening for many players who love it.

Oh, and the other thing – getting stuck in a wall has become a daily occurrance…

Regarding the megaserver changes:

  • But…I like my peace and quiet…

    I like my server because of the low number of players I run into in PvE. I enjoy rarely coming across a single other player and hanging together in silence as we explore and fight enemies before splitting off and going our separate ways to find more adventures. Seeing dozens upon dozens of players running past me every minute ruins my sense of immersion into the world.
    -
    With this virtual server merge, no longer will I be able to play content alone and in relative peace and quiet. Every enemy I face will likely be attacked by several others, or will even already be dead before I can even get to it. Every hilltop I climb for the view will be soured by a dozen other people already crowding the peak. Every remote path through the mountains or forest that I walk along (literally and with the UI off) will no longer be a serene stroll with only sounds of birds, wind and water bubbling in streams. The pleasure of a silent stroll will now be saturated with the unceasing sounds of a dozen other players constantly slaughtering the bunnies and deer nestling nearby and the busy bee line of players running back and forth across my screen.

    Yes, this is an MMO, I know there are other people in the game world and that one can expect to see and interact with other players. However, the frequency of that interaction was a choice players had based on the server they choose to play on. Servers have been specifically chosen by some (many?) players based on the density and attitudes/play styles of other players on that server.
    -
    I like my server because I do not see dozens of players every 15 seconds running around. If I wanted that then I would go to one of the larger, more densely populated servers. The megaserver changes will destroy OW-PvE for me and will take away my choice of playing how I want to play.

    Again, if I wanted to interact with more people in the open world, I’d guest or transfer to a higher pop server. Bringing them to me and forcing interaction against my will sours my game experience. Instead of adding the living feeling to the world, more players thrown across my path only snaps me out of the immersion and reminds me that it isn’t a living world because a person taking a stroll out in the woods shouldn’t be met with the bustling crowds of dozens of people running like mad across my path every 15 seconds.

Regarding the world bosses and events changes:

  • Hinterlands: Ulgoth put on a timer? – Living and dynamic world goes bye-bye?

    First I will be losing my solitude and immersion into my surroundings, now I will also lose the ability to run the Hinterlands dynamic event chain (among others) when I choose to?

    “Static” is not the same thing as “Dynamic”, it is the opposite.
    -
    Removing the dynamic nature of zone events (such as those leading up to confronting Ulgoth) and making them into statically scheduled events is nothing short of pure madness. Arguably the most fun and spectacularly designed event chain and zone boss group event in the game (which other zone events should have been modeled off of) …and you remove the dynamic nature of it and throw it on a fixed timer?

    The “living” feeling and the dynamic nature of the world and what occurs in it is constantly being removed from the game.
  • Why is the implementation and feeling of the “Living World” being slowly and intentionally removed?
  • Why are you intentionally removing the ability for players to bring about and have their own adventures?
  • Why are you forcing us to only have the adventures you want us to have, when you want us to have them?
  • Are you wanting all players of your game to have a uniform, predetermined experience as is gradually being dictated?

Bump.

This isn’t playing “the way you want to” – this is being forced into a box with players who are not on your server and who could be WvW enemies…

The Megaserver may have done wonders for the devs but it didn’t do a thing for the players who were fine with guesting to get what was needed without absolutely wrecking WvW and, as you put it, our peace – oh, our peace.

And as has been pointed out very clearly – this destroys many guild missions.

I wish they would bring back the original events as made, not the nerfed ones that are now so boring for SO many.

This is a good shot of those who just get in then just stand there – and this is NOT the most I’ve seen standing there the WHOLE instance.

That’s at x:08. Lot of those people are still loading. If you were to do similar screenshot on my server you’d likely get the same effects, or even a bigger crowd (i might be even on those, as it takes me 2-3 minutes to load LA after entering). If you were to do similar screenshot 10 mins later, you’d have notice most of them gone, and only a few ppl standing.

After going back five and six times I can tell you they weren’t loading.

Here’s the proof.

There were 15 or more people standing at ONE gate for most of the instance.

The sheer hastiness of those who were AFK is evident.

They believe they have a RIGHT to stand there ; we all know they do NOT have a right to, they have a responsibility to play or not to play but not to STAND there during a SCALED EVENT making it impossible for the players who are participating not to get the rewards for their true numbers.

Please take note of the timestamp and then read the words again… I have more if you want but I think Anet has the proof they need to get that some are taking great advantage and they are flaunting it.

You need to learn not to troll people who are trying to better the game.

There’s a difference between being unfairly critical and recognizing terrible development. When stuff like the new instance and this slips through, its not unfair.

I agree – if they are beta testing, they need to get better beta testers – and better coders who can look over their alphas.

I can never fully understand this change. I mean seriously? The last thing we needed in pvp was a horde of Shorbow auto-attack spamming/kiting ranger that spams bleeds and other conditions so fast, even Chuck Norris can’t keep up. Add to that an annoying hard to kill pet which now has improved HP and toughness and improved abilities that follows you like a twitter fanboy.

After the massive hit on eles, expect rangers to be dominating every match. Mark my words.

I’m no QQer but for the love of God, why the buff on pets?!?! Buff on spirits, yeah they sure needed it. But pets?! They needed to be toned down actually.

Guess we who must roam alone (and that is MANY of us who don’t have close-knit friends who play this darned game!) may have a chance out there, FINALLY.

So what? You will actually have to have a friend to take down a lowly Ranger – or pay the price – BOUT TIME ANET AND GOOD ON YOU!!!

Map Invasion achievements worst decision.

I’ve played all the content and up to now, the map invasion achievements are by far the worst decisions made to be implemented for the achievement category.

I’m still stuck on 12/13 and waiting for a specific map.

Up till now all other achievements were doable in your OWN time. You weren’t pushed into playing at a specific time (exclude the hourly achievements like watch fireworks, they repeated every hour or so). But in these new achievements you’ve made it so people have to be playing at a specific time to gain their achievements.

In the future, please do not implement more of these kind of achievements. I prefer to be able to play in my own time and still be able to gain the achievements.

/inb4 future themed content dungeon only open from 6pm-7pm only

Also I somewhat feel that this decision was made to further push players into the “play 24/7” area. Because it looks better for statistics to show that people are always playing then having on and off peaks.

No way to keep track of WHICH maps done was the WORST decision ever made for any event.

I agree, this was a mess.

I’m so sorry you can’t 3v1 people anymore, maybe you should realize youre class is now what they call “Balanced”.

Ele is a very high skill celling class, pro’s do extremely well, and new players get destroyed.

Your friend probably didn’t have any idea of how Op Eles were at WvW.

Being one-hit-down-dead isn’t what “balance” looks like…

This is my first post on these forums, but recent events in WvW have made me reach out to find how others feel about WvW. I do NOT want this thread to turn into a discussion of what is broken or needs fixing, just personal opinions of WvW as it is right now. I’m sure this topic has come up before, but I didn’t see it recently, so… Here’s the questions:

1) What do you like best about WvW? What keeps making you come back for more? What keeps you interested or keeps it fun?

2) What do you like least about WvW? What makes you frustrated about it or makes you want to stop WvW in favor of something else like PvE, PvP or even EotM? (I consider EotM play separate).

3) What tier are you in?

4) Have you switched servers for WvW? Why?

1) a. Strategy b. insanity? c. Taking things that others say can’t be taken

2) If you made a mistake and went to the wrong server the first time and then move, you better not have any reason to need to talk. You are irrelevant and can’t possibly have a good idea or strategy that has worked… So now we are nomads looking for what may not exist – a home where our talents are seen as useful – not seen as a critisizer when making logical obervations and suggestions that have worked on other servers…

part b – The fact that many guilds are not community builders but rather more like gangs in the real world. Just as mean, just as selfish, and just as destructive.

4) Yes, family chose my first server but I didn’t like the lack of community. They won the first season by getting all the pve’ers into WvW – we recruited many into WvW that first season. After the season ended FA became toxic – they know it – they fixed it to some extent but they bought many guilds – which is connected to #2 in your list. Some guilds jumped only when they were bought and that made for more toxic events… If you are not of the server originally, you are now seen as a pariah unless you bring a guild presence.

That trait is 100% overpowered (and annoying) in WvW, and partially on PvP. If you don’t agree with me, you possibly don’t play WvW/PvP too much, or you have a very good condition removal.

Killing in stealth is the worst idea ever but I don’t hear you calling out a bad mechanic, just one that actually works on a Druid, unlike many other skills that still glitch out and don’t work at all.

Trust me I feel your pain. TC has been stuck with JQ and BG for god knows how long now, it’s the reason why I don’t WvW anymore. When we drop down to tier 2 for a week or two I’ll rejoin WvW, not saying TC stay in tier 2, but a break from Tier 1 would be refreshing and worth playinv WvW again.

I moved from Tarnished Coast after recently moving to TC thinking maybe they would be able to win one time out of four or five, but, because they have no way of winning and are in the wrong tier as many servers are now I was forced move again.

Losing week after week is demoralizing even in a game.

Guess Anet wants to keep people spending money for moves by not fixing WvW.

Anet, many servers are in the wrong tiers.

Anet, when are you going to switch the servers into their correct tiers?

Anet , when are you going to listen to anyone in WvW at all?

How many times and in how many ways can the thousands of us say it before you will fix the tiers?

I understand why anyone would have issues with losing week after week without any hope of winning, ever.

Please, fix WvW.

I’m VERY much considering a transfer myself. I love TC, I think we have the best community by far, very friendly! But yea, losing every week sucks, and I don’t go into WvW to fight for 2nd place. We just don’t have the numbers to actually shot for 1st place, and we all know in WvW numbers > skill of the players. Sooo I’m looking at Tier 2 servers and more specifically SoS.

And what happens when TC loses enough players that SoS moves up to tier 1 and takes TCs spot as perpetual loser. Do you then transfer again just so you can win?

I’ll stick with SoS for awhile, but yea if it becomes the new TC I’d transfer again. I don’t mind losing every now and then. But NEVER coming in 1st …nope not doin it.

From what I have seen in score ratios, SOS should be in Tier 1.

TC should be around where HoD is now.

If the players are happy losing week after week, they can stay clear of the forums and live in blissful misery – but I won’t just sit here and be beaten by virtue of incorrect matching rather than no interest.

Some servers have a WvW community.

Others, not so much.

The servers with strong, healthy communities will rise to the top of WvW eventually – that’s where all good players will settle in the long run.

I will bet the “good” servers are in building mode right now, they welcome good players from any server and never grief or exclude them for the choice they wrongly made about servers in the past.

I was on HoD from beginning to end of our winning season this year.

I was on FA from the beginning until the end of the first WvW season.

I have been on and part of winning on two servers. It’s more fun to win, yes, but it’s more important to have a community where people talk to one another in map chat as well as comms, when necessary, and not leave out those who can’t hear – which is happening a lot now – so many forget that many have hearing issues or are deaf.

WvW deserves better than the devs have given it.

sPvP with just five players per side means more to them and that makes no sense at all.

Im breaking a stun or getting dazed/chilled/immobilized every couple of seconds vs some groups (condi map blob). Often times seemingly through stab or maybe it’s getting stripped or corrupted. Add to it DHs or whatever somehow pulling me mid teleport.

It’s very annoying to have people barfing out so much cc in fights. Just walking is a pain in the kitten most of the time. Marks on the ground are usually dripping with cc. Throw in all the passive taunt and fear running around.

Seriously this stuff isn’t fun anymore. Map blobs just melee train up and roll in one direction. 4 or 5 of them always leap way ahead and die like idiots. They catch stuff in cc then kill rinse repeat.

Tone down the cc. Having basilisk venom connected to every freaking well and mark probably sounded like a good idea but it wasn’t. CC is over the top atm. /rant

Stuns don’t break stuns for more than half a second.

Protection is useless.

Invulnerable doesn’t always mean invulnerable.

WvW is in serious trouble.

Ive played the Ranger from the beginning and couldn’t agree more. I defended them and continued to defend them until I realized it’s a lost cause. I mained a Ranger; I got them up to rank 340 or something in WvW with around 35K kills or so. While I find them more fun to play than most classes, they just aren’t as efficient.

For a class that’s needed some love for so long, I can’t figure out why a game mode that isn’t very popular was the possible cause as to why the SB was nerfed, as well as our pet damage. Then a long comes the good ole 50% damage nerf to Barrage just for good measure; absolutely perplexing.

At this point, there is really nothing they can do to the pet to bring us on par with every other class. The pet simply does not work with the class, nor has any synergies with the Ranger itself. It literally is a distraction that gets the occasional hit in once in a while and nothing more. I see good ideas on here from time to time, then usually followed by “we don’t want to make this overpowered”. Trust me, there is nothing they can do with the class at the moment to make it overpowered.

Here is a perfect example: I finally leveled up my Elementalist and outfitted her with Berserker gear and trinkets, with a berserker weapon. My Ranger is outfitted in all ascended gear, trinkets, and ascended weapon. Off to the training dummies I go where my pet can actually hit it’s attacks. My elementalist literally does 50x more damage than the Ranger. Not to mention, the Elementalist has far more tools for escape, CC, and support at it’s disposal.

Now fast forward this into real time where your pet misses most of it’s attacks or gets killed before it even blinks.. you get the idea. The class just isn’t comparable. Coming from someone who actually finds the Ranger more fun to play, they just simply aren’t as efficient.

My only wish is, I wish Anet would make ascended trinkets account bound so I could strip them off my Ranger and transfer over to my Ele.

I have one better for an example of how bad the Ranger really is:

My Warrior was able to get badges in every tower and camp UNDER 80 (from 1-80, almost all WvW) without ascended, without exotics and without expensive foods and tool consumption.

My Ranger is LUCKY to get 1 badge from any event, tower or keep – sometimes it’s days before I get any.

ALL other characters have better damage than my Ranger – not one is under her for damage or condition and damage.

Anet, you aren’t listening yet – and we’re still waiting past a year on.

We all realize this and have for a while, its just time for the devs to. In terms of coverage, there are rarely any balanced matchups that give each server a fighting chance. For this reason, long ago did people learn to enjoy fights more than get worked up over hours of ppt herding that never was going to pay off anyway.

I think WvW should be redesigned around fights. People who wins fights gain PPT, instead of capping points. If this were true, and you could measure server skill by how well they fought, Blackgate would be mid-tier, Mag and PS would be #1, and things would feel a whole lot better.

I don’t know about you, but the devs have been eerily silent on the actual status of WvW. The entire game mode is more about fights now. Anyone who has gone to WvW know prime-time is littered with open field fights between pugs or guilds.

Even though the high tier guilds are getting burnt out because of the lack of WvW change or GvG addition and are beginning to leave the game because of this(bless you all, you have pioneered the meta of gw2 skill groups for so long, we understand).

Even amongst servers themselves, they all know who has the strongest fighting force. Blackgate and SFR know they arn’t collectively the most skilled fighters out there, they just have a lot of coverage. Actually, a lot of Tier 1 servers are like this and all know this. Guilds themselves represent their servers with their fierce fighting power.

If the dev’s take the time to read this, I figure you probably won’t want to remove WvW ppt but you have to understand that the ability to win Open Field fights, in some situations against forces 3 times your skill, is a better test of skill than PPT because of how unfair coverage is. You seriously have to take this into account if you want there to be any hope for WvW.

Empty maps on many servers are leaving us with nothing in PPT – give me a break.

This needs to be play tested by over 200 person battles before the features are finalized. WvW is an entirely different game when you have more than a few dozen which is what it looks like they designed the map with.

The new PvE dynamic is way out of left field. We thought the hyleks or dredge were what we thought of as “PvE” in wvw and the community has had a gripe over that forever.

“But you don’t know what pain is!!!”

Thats how it feels. Now the PvE is something we have to deal with and cannot go around. Its not the immersive experience we were after, we can do that in Tyria. It attacks all objectives? what kind of damage are we talking about?

But most importantly, Why do the direct opposite of what the community asks for?? I mean I can understand a little different, but why specifically the direct opposite?

It’s horrid, it’s reused from PvE, fractals and Dungeons, but it’s not new and it’s not a good idea.

PvE should be out of WvW and the areas that we take should be ours after doing tasks maybe but not depending on tricks when so much is wrong with WvW right now.

It’s hard enough to convince some that the NPCs are necessary to watch and turn, now you’re added elements to stop many players from ever returning because, end game, they are totally disappointed and feel completely dismissed.

STILL getting this error – this isn’t fixed and there is no “reason” on my side.

Windows 7 64 Bit two other windows (browsers) open only to GW2 and Pandora.

The net has been losing connection for MANY people – someone better start asking about our net infrastructure and if it’s even safe.

If this is a nationwide glitch – and I will bet it is – we have more serious issues than losing connection to this GAME.

Was poking around in EB last night with my thief buddy, we killed a small enemy group few times. Every single time they tried to pin me down and ignored my friend, so I kited and he killed them. Soon after the guardian (I’m only assuming it’s him, could be the warrior too but the guardian died more) started to whisper me and accuse me of speedhacking. At first he either blocked me or he dc’d as I couldn’t reply to him at all (He however reported me for abusive language, which makes me wonder how can I do that if I wasn’t able to even reply to him in the first place?), but then after he said he had me reported 5 times he either unblocked me or was sticking around for long enough for me to be able to reply few lines. So! As I am not a speedhacker and I have nothing to hide.. Here it is. Me running in circles without speedhacks. I’m using all my cooldowns defensively since these guys were trying to focus me down while my sidekick blinds and backstabs them. I have high endurance regen due one trait plus I get vigor from my stunbreaker, both weapon and survival skill cooldowns are relatively short due the CD traits I had picked. No black magic there.

Anet it’s time for some rewards for those who:

Siege up properties and refreshing same (WXP is NOT a reward it’s a measure of time)

Commanding – Open to suggestions but mentions in season ending comments on a wall of some kind would be nice – one we can see on the net as well as in the game

Defend – Defending – as in sitting there alone for hours as a lookout and trying not to go nuts from the boredom but it must be done

I am sure there are other boring mechanics that need to be ‘rewarded’ to be able to draw people into and keep them in WvW – brainstorm away.

1) no more loot from mobs (not even the little chest in each pit)
2) no loot from the souped-up legendary bosses (after spending money to trigger them)
3) more open world raid
4) not just more open world raid, but SIX of them for the one reward that will no doubt not be worth the hour we put in (just finished 2/6 and it’s been over fifteen minutes with a huge blob of people, and the bosses only get beefier)
5) the longer it takes, the worse that sad reward will get

Anet has reached perfection in understanding what we want: no loot, open world raids, autoattack-festing trillion-HP bosses and bad rewards. GG.

I’m not sure how this could be worse, but I’m gonna do this once and go give Liadri a hug.

Back when anet first announced their 2 week initiative a lot of people were angry saying that content was going to suffer and we were going to get fluff for story because of time constraints. I took to anets defense creating several topics outlining why I thought it was a marvelous idea and stating that Anet will not do anything that would allow the content to suffer. Well I was wrong…

I’ve tried to be patient with everything but this last patch quickly dissipated the faith I had in them to create a good story and move it along at a decent pace. Or even create a plot that was so lacking in creativity that a third grader could draw it up. I am sorry but who really didn’t see the queen getting kidnapped and the watchknights turning on us coming? The only thing that was interesting or even worth attention was when the asura tells you that Scarlet is something of a prodigy. Speaking of Scarlet….

I have never been so excited about a character during one patch then two weeks later completely loathe that same character. The whole “I want to watch the world burn” villain is one of my favorite archetypes, but seriously there has to be some depth to a character other than that. Lines like “Die. Die. Die. Die. Die.” and “They work for me because they want to live” seriously plays her out quickly and honestly makes her alot less menacing because you just grow to expect it from her everytime she speaks.

In closing I would like to say people can tell when something is slopped together and they can also tell when time and energy is put into something. For example, the steam creatures that she creates are by all measures fantastic. The sounds they make, their overall design, and their death animations are fantastic. Kudos. However, this story really just feels like your shooting from the hip.

My dreams are far more detailed than most of the dialog in this game and I am sorry to say that I could write better stuff sitting around just joking and goofing with my husband.

There are two kinds of people in any creative endeavor that has to do with computers – story people and concept people – programmers aren’t writing the dialog and if they ARE, THAT is where your priorities are messed up beyond thought.

Writers who are creative and who can constantly pull “Tonight Show” quality monologues and dialog (Johnny Carson-quality) aren’t paid what some of these guys are.

So Washington-state-company-that-wants-more-of-our-money, how about either allowing your USERS, some of whom are AMAZING WRITERS, to do some dialog and reward them for it, or stop the dialog that repeats AD NAUSEUM and just stop pretending…

I don’t just grouse, I SUGGEST a fix for what is obviously a very important part of the game that isn’t being given the “attention” that it needs.

When are you going to start implementing GOOD ideas from GOOD players????

One of these days, Anet is going to do this to a decent lawyer and then we will have a class action lawsuit against a company that puts almost all of its game on auto-pilot during seasonal events.

Just like other seasonal events that don’t work, Anet isn’t looking, isn’t caring and ins’t answering yet again.

So how are we to get an achievement if we can’t enter?

Where are the new WvW content?

What you take as players hating WvW I see as players that love to play WvW, but see that it could be so much better. They’ve played it even though they face enemies with larger forces and have wanted a fix to population balance for years. They’ve played WvW knowing that there’s only a few builds on a select few classes, no medium armor allowed, and have wanted skill balance for years. They’ve gone through the HoT expansion and have seen the old vanilla classes/builds disappear. They’ve had to PvE grind in order to both unlock the new elite specs and the guild upgrades they already had. They’ve seen a map introduced that wasn’t as much fun to play on as the original two but have only seen small fixes that haven’t corrected the issues why most players avoid it. They’ve also gone through several years of small fixes because most of the resources are working on PvE content, even though WvW is supposed to be a “core” part of GW2.

WvW is still the best part of GW2 but it can be so much better, it SHOULD be better. I used to raid at least 5 times a week with my guild. I barely get on anymore. I’m starting not to miss it. I might buy the xpac, might not. I don’t have the motivation to spend all my time in PvE unlocking 9 elite specs or grinding for the newest OP armor stats just to go on a outnumbered WvW map.

This is how it is on most WvW maps, from Tier 1 to Tier 4. Overwhelmed or overwhelming but not anywhere near in balanced fighting numbers on any side.

Sorry to repeat, but I still have over 200 players on my contact list who don’t play any longer – and they haven’t logged in, many of them, for over a year.

I don’t delete my contacts, people I played with for years, all because I keep hoping but they not returning tells me what I quoted above are many of the main issues.

Part of WvW was being able to get to know people – but ever changing populations, little in symbiotic comms between links, being told one is ‘only on a link’ (that was new to me since I was on a host server forever and a day) and not being able to gain pips for 30 min or more and then watching a dozen stand at spawn for hours – yes, it is getting hard to find those to get into groups at all in the most pretty much mandatory cooperative mode the game offer for success.

I am not a naysayer – I’ve given a lot of good ideas over the years – as have many – WvW is the best gaming mode and can be better by going backwards to a more fun and more productive environment

Hey all, just a quick note. Earning higher tiers of reward in the Boss Blitz in the Queen’s Pavilion is a great way to earn Festival Tokens, and Queen’s Gauntlet tickets – the rewards that the other activities within the festival give as well. If you check your inventory, you should see the tokens & tickets you have received.

The “rewards” are crap. Just absolute crap.

This “event” was “brought back” but absolutely not brought back in their original and well loved forms.

This is the worst update for PvE ever. Ever. Ever.

Labyrinthine Cliffs? You guys know it’s bugged to try to get to the crystals and you’re ignoring it.

Again. On a limited event, you’re ignoring the huge problems that “changing” these events caused.

As I stated above, much planning goes into reset , and you are coordinating many guilds on a server prior to reset. AT the meetings, it is decided who is going where, however no one knows what color the team they are fighting is going to be until they actually change color right before reset. With them spread out farther due to a massive PVE portal area crammed into the wvw area , you do not have time to change colors and it will cause guilds to be split and stuck in ques. WvW players should have an area that meets the needs of WvW players to rally too. We used to have one, and it was removed. Having an area where everyone can gather and prepare for wvw allows all guilds to share banners, feasts and bonfires with everyone prior to it starting.

In addition, food and siege for Guild members is restocked multiple times daily in our guild bank. Commanders use up siege and feasts faster than you can keep them stocked and the trove is filled with individual food and stones for players that are used up during the runs. When wvw is reset, that is when they make a mad dash to restock since they often are playing all the way up until being kicked out. Think of it more as " the pit" for nascar drivers.. you run in get your stuff done and get back in the game. That is how this should work for wvw players.

Need regular bank, guild bank, guild services, merchants, trading post and crafting stations for food, oils and stones near WvW portals to make a good wvw rally area.

Can't get Past 10/13

I seem to be stuck at 10/13 invasions.

I know I still need maelstrom, so that should give me 11/13 but I have done the other 12 zones but I am still at 10/13.

I’ve been keeping track of each zone on paper and I write it down after I kill scarlet there. There are 12 zones on my list but when I went to check the achieve it only recorded 10… how do I check which one didn’t count?

All the posts need to be merged and Anet needs to fix the zones – and TELL us which ones we have BEEN IN and which ones we still NEED TO GO TO.

This blind instruction garbage needs to stop.

Anet, this is all the same issue – the achievements aren’t accomplished for whatever reasons, and it all started when the darned overflows started messing with the databases… wanna BET?

Commander Tag Changes Feedback [merged]

Example of Tag acquisition (not just a gold payment)

Each tag comes with a commanders log, where they have to capture x amount of structures and having to complete these events with atleast 70% of their squad on map.
Once commanders log is complete (hence gaining leadership experience, from small scale to large scale) upon handing in their completed log they are then eligible to purchase next rank.

Example:

Gold – Captain
35g – 10 players max – strike team
Must achieve the following to be eligible to purchase next rank
35hrs minimum, commanding at least 70% of their squad completing the following objectives:
capture 70 supply camps and 70 ruins Or 70 supply camps and 70 mercenary camps.

Red – Commander
75g – 30 players max – Guild Support group
Must achieve the following to be eligible to purchase next rank
75hrs minimum, commanding at least 70% of their squad completing the following objectives:
Capture 100 Towers and 100 Keeps and 100 supply camps

Blue – General
150g – 91 players max (includes his 2nd in Command) – battle field General
Must achieve the following to be eligible to purchase next rank
150hrs minimum, commanding at least 70% of their squad completing the following objectives:
Capture 250 towers and 250 keeps and 500 supply camps and 100 Stonemist castles and 250 Mercenary camps or 250 Ruins

Platinum – Legendary General of the [enter servers name]
300g
This rank has no extra abilities than a General (Blue tag), and is only for show as in recognition to the amount effort u have made in commanding your server, and the time taken in completing a generals log.

although I have just made up figures I hope you can see what my ideas are.
this idea not only makes use of small groups people trying to complete logs to promote themselves but also have large groups on map too for the other commanders to try and promote themselves too.

Where as ruins and mercenary camps are sometimes left alone and are not a massive necessity these ideas will bring them into the game more than they are.
People will now have incentive to fill up their squads as much as they can (or at least to 70%) even if your a General you still have incentive to push harder even if it means it wont affect your abilities at all its still an achievement.

PvE Commanders
could be done in a similar manner in regards to world bosses/events or tequatl with turret commanders etc (sry don’t know much about PvE lol) but just a suggestion.

A new UI window would probably be needed though, Something similar to the guild roster (could also be located there) with multiple party windows, with a drag and drop scenario, to organize parties and class composition. This would also fall in nicely with the Gold/Red/Blue Tag scenario.

Iason — I am not sure about the answer to this. As pdavis and mtpelion point out, the wallet is account bound and does not have a limit. So I’m curious why you feel a second storage option is needed.

steve and others — I will ask about the functionality of a “sent items” system. However, off the top of my head I suspect that implementing such functionality would not be a trivial or easy process, and I can see it would involve several teams (programming, UI, art, etc.). As Ic points out, it may be seen as more a QoL factor than an essential system change. But again, I’ll see what I can find out or a dev may post here to answer this question.

suffish — I have not heard that there’s a motivation factor involving preventing player-to-player trading. As the statement says, this is about curbing fraud, RMT, and the oft-related account thefts.

Rising Dusk — another question I’ll need to ask. But when accounts are proven to have been hacked, the account is restored (rolled back) so would that not accomplish the same thing that you’re proposing? And wouldn’t doing what you propose make restorations a moot factor?

hrasna — you’ve hit a very important point here: This change will impact very, very few players. In fact, in previous statistical reviews, the percentage of players who would be impacted would be in the low single digits.

Guild disrupting, per-cursor mis-thinking (so many have them, so many are working on them) , those like me who spend over 100 gold per week on wvw… we’re all being told we’re not going to be heard.

I am with the other person who said something similar to this:

Work with ISPs but do what is necessary and start banning ip blocks – please stop punishing the whole community because ISPs and companies still can’t do a tracking system before being breeched.

The changes are against reason. Many of those coming in the expansion ( cough WvW not fixed but a clone map appears. cough) are not necessary and exactly the opposite of what was asked of us when we asked for a “new map”.

Not one suggestion of ours is being respected but we’re being dumped on so much so that friends and family are moving on to other games despite our protestations that things will be better, things will be fixed (specifics? I have screenshots and screenshots that no one wants to see), inequity is pvp to wvw to pve never ever ever addressed, and why in any reality does my pet now not work at all and will never grow up? These and issues with other professions, things that just don’t work, skills that are “working” but don’t work at all, and a whole host of bugs that people put in every day that never get out of some mysterious queue that never gets looked at?

This can be one of the most positive games around, but when we are forced to take changes that affect not only us, but our guilds and those who have a passion for legendaries and other expensive items, and even me, the lowly player who, if I stopped spending for two seconds would go over 500 in much less than a week, we have to protest that the change impacts good players much more than it will ever stop gold thieves who are literally a dime a dozen and will just lower their quantities and get more players/accounts that don’t cost more than their gold selling.

We are behind the game. Please have our backs too. Someone finally needs to.

Played it last night after the latest patch and had absolutely ZERO problems connecting. Just went straight into the Wintersday level as expected, and not once reverted to loading DV after clicking.

Has ANet said or hinted at whether or not we’re going to have to unlock all our skills again in the new system? I know we’re going to get 400 points flat from leveling, but they also said that unlocking everything costs 465, and I don’t even think that number includes the Elite Spec line.

I’ve spent tons of skill points and gold to unlock all my skills and traits on the majority of my characters, but I only have a big chunk of world completion on 1 out of all 9 of them. If I log in on patch day and suddenly I’ve got to go out and grind Hero Challenges just to make sure I can have everything again… I’m probably going to leave the game, because you’ll have robbed me of skills and traits I’ve had for literal years in this game and given me only one very slow, very boring way to get it back. I’m not doing 65 (or more) challenges each across 8 characters simply to get stuff back that I’ve earned previously.

I shouldn’t be stuck doing PvE so I can have 100% of the options available to me in WvW, which is the only gamemode I play aside from SPvP. Either preserve the skills of legacy characters, or introduce another way to get Hero Points that isn’t so lopsided. ANet has seriously overestimated how engaging skill challenges are for players; it’s like their heads are in the sand with regards to the quality (or lack thereof) of their PvE content. And please: do not even try to pass it off like Skill Challenges in WvW are “WvW content”. Right now I can buy every skill and trait in the game with the XP and loot I get from kills and captures in WvW. After this patch, I won’t be able to. That’s broken.

I’m okay with using the new system on the Revenant, obviously, and any characters I might make after the patch, and for the Elite Specialization track, but I would sincerely hope that ANet will take the same route as they did last time and allow legacy characters to keep what they have. And if not, at least compensate us for the money we’ve spent buying skill books from trainers. I know I personally have dropped upwards of 30 gold buying Master and Grandmaster traits since the last change. To have that large amount of gold be gone forever simply because your first redesign of the trait system was a failure would be massively insulting.

And honestly, how long do you think it’s going to be before ANet is going to be designing yet another system for trait/skill unlocks because this one winds up being just as off-putting as the last time? This one will probably have an even shorter lifespan, as there’s not even a way to bypass the PvE nonsense this time, since Hero Points are earned “strictly” through leveling and Hero Challenges. You’re removing the ability to earn Skill/Hero Points when you level past 80, you’re removing the ability to buy traits with gold… this game is becoming so narrow and it’s making me sad.

Why is 14% (65/465) of a character’s functionality walled off behind Hero Challenges, when doing Skill Challenges now is basically grunt work you do for map completion, and doesn’t require any skill at all? A third of these challenges are just standing in one place with your arm outstretched, “communing”… how is that “heroic” at all? You must’ve seriously drank the PvE Kool-Aid if you think that something so trivial should be so strongly tied to a character’s functionality.

For what it’s worth, I do like the trait changes that are being made… but you’re killing experimentation by walling everything off into reward tracks, and forcing Skills and Traits to compete for the same limited currency, where there was no limit to said currency before.

Honestly, I’m probably so pathetic that I wouldn’t stop playing even if I log in and I’ve got to spend a week grinding out enough Hero Points to get back to where I was… but this all just reeks of a bad idea that hasn’t had nearly enough thought put into it.

What was so wrong with getting skill currency every time you re-leveled to 80? What was so wrong with just buying traits from the trainers, or, if you go way back, not having to unlock traits at all? You’re undermining player progression, and the game itself, by layering on new forms of artificial progression where they don’t need to be.

These are just my two cents, take them or leave them. If legacy characters get to keep their skills, or if a new, non-PvE-exclusive way to get Hero Points is introduced, then there’s much less of an issue I think. I obviously don’t think the HP system is particularly good, but I’d be happy simply not to have my previous progress erased by 14%. Definitely want to hear back on that point especially.

So we can’t get the most important question of all answered?

Many of us could well not buy the expansion or leave altogether is we’re told we have to do this ALL over again.

Deconstruction of a server

So now that most have to get their “news” about their own server on trolly and very mean-spirited (not all, just most) websites that don’t have any moderation at all ( go look up the forums on wvw – net) due to the inception of the “megaserver”, wvw has become, even for a winning server, a wasteland because we can’t recruit where other’s literally buy their guilds.

HoD won’t buy guilds – but FA has and it’s known throughout our map from those on FA who have told us they are still holding out hope for the REST of our guilds and the standing “orders” for gold is high and wrong.

WvW and the megaserver, along with Anet turning a blind eye to the forums and the innate problems of forums outside because the issues won’t be addressed here, have started their march to destroy a server that at its heart has many wonderful and dedicated players.

PvX teams can no longer easily be recruited because we no longer have Lion’s Arch as the central point for all of our server – now any recruitment done in game is subject to “hey do that somewhere else” even if one does it just once a day – and I do it far less than that and still get the “go away” or much worse reaction/acronyns/emotes.

Tried to post the map showing that we have a few camps and no towers or bigger properties..

Megaserver is a failure and a WvW killer.

Why Do Pets Have Much More Health in PVE?

Your right I never noticed that before .For example my Ice drake has 39385 health in Silverwastes but drops to 22975 in WvW. Also noticed a slight difference in character health (maybe a hundred points) but not that extreme.If (as I understand ) the pet is an extension to the ranger then that is yet another disadvantage to chalk up. Nice call on that. But I’m curious to know if that also applies to clones and minions.Just a thought.

I’ve been saying it for two plus years and I still haven’t received an answer from Anet to two questions, one of which I asked.

The second is why pets never grow up.

So they become our pets when “juveniles”, don’t grow up and become less powerful in WvW – and this is fair how?

WvW you may like it you may not but who cares if you do or not. This post is merely to bring attention to the situation under going a “neglected” portion of the player base. WvW to me is the main reason I play GW2, the combat system is nice and fun and it emodies the Games name “Guild Wars” a place were Guild actually fight. So what about WvW? Well this game is going into its fifth year soon (congrats Anet), and PVE content has dramatically expanded in so many ways that made the game much more fun. WvW on the other hand has been left in the Dust. Yes there was a new map (Desert Borderland which is everyone’s least favorite) Yes we get the benefits of the new Elite Specs, but that is it(yes bug patches and tweaks to the Shrines but nothing Major) Where is the new content? If you ever play any competitive game then you know how important it is for there to be something new in the mix to shake up the player bases skills and knowledge. The only thing for WvW we have to learn is that we cant break certain walls anymore in the game because “PHYSICS” and new Build Metas (Separation of WvW Meta should be different from PVE). Don’t bring up PvP because pvp is a failed mess(its fun but its not good enough for esports Sorry.) For my main and Final point. What is the WvW player base doing right now, we are currently holding on too whatever morality we have left to play (There is a good number of Guild that don’t play the PVE content which is ok). I know Guild that have disbanded because they don’t find it fun to do the same thing in the same ways 4 years straight. I have seen players leave and Guilds leave to other Games that offer a similar experience (ESO, has a system like WvW that is very fun btw). Soon enough the player base will die out in WvW. What can be done to help? Talk with us more, we want to hear from the WvW team often (yes there is a negative view against Devs but its with reason) But if we get feedback and more communication from the team showing us a reason to stay thats all we need. But as of right now we have nothing to look forward too and most of us won’t wait in hopes the next expansion will bring something new.
TL -DR, Anet talk to WvW player base more before we leave

Who wrote this plot? I had seen people act more logically in Disney films.
What I am talking about is how easily Scarlet managed to destroy Lion’s Arch.
Seriously what’s it going to take for LA to see a real threat when warned about it?
I mean just 2 years prior to it LA suffered 2 major attacks! First from Zhaitan and then from the Karka. They really need only 2 years to become carefree again?
I am not saying that Scarlet should have lost the battle instantly. But there should be at least some real resistance preventing her from landing in LA and starting her digging operation just like that.
Question: WHERE IS THE PACT AND THE AIRSHIPS THEY USED TO FIGHT ZHAITAN?
Even if I were to believe they all got destroyed you would think they build new ones after 2 years right? So why aren’t any of them fighting the aetherblade airships? And is the pact on a 2 year vacation or what? I mean they defeated Zhaitan but celebrating for 2 years when there are 4 other dragons left is a bit too much. And aren’t our characters suppose to be commanders of the pact?
I mean if this was for real I would instantly go to Fort Trinity and say “Soldiers of the pact the terrorist Scarlet is going to attack Lion’s Arch we must not let that happen!”

The only explanation would be that everyone lost hope and want to live their life to the fullest for as long as they can. Yeah well that would make sense but BEFORE Zhaitan was defeated and not AFTER. At this point everyone who lost hope should have regained it and joined the fight because now it is clear that it is possible to stop this apocalypse.

Balance, where ranger are weakest class in team pvp?
Balance, where ranger are worst possible class in pve?
Balance, where ranger are worst choice for GvG or WvW guild raids?
Balance, where in WvW pet die instantly when enemies are more than 10, and put 50% of all class mechanic on 1min cooldown?
Balance where best part of game where ranger really shine is Downed state???
Balance, where Devs on stream hysterical laugh, when they start to talk about rangers + eSport + Tournaments?

If that’s perfect balance for you, then we have to future.

When a Ranger is allowed in a group with others I will believe we are “balanced”.

When a Ranger is in the top two of PvP for “esports” then I will believe in Anet’s idea of “balance”.

Until then, I will stick with reality.

Ranger and any problems therein, skills, mechanics, keys not working (ahem f2 just today hit it twelve times and it STILL would not go off! before and after I was downed in pvp) are being ignored and negated.

Any other business in the US having this much “wrong” with its product would be under a full government ordered recall.
