What profession you feel can carry a party?

Im working on my 7th 80 and I can say for sure: ALL PROFESSIONS

All classes can carry a group if they are well played, and I will tell you the reason, you carry your group if you know what you are doing and how to aproach the dungeon figths.

A guardian can heal and keep alive the party.
the warrior dps can make the difference just by killing fast
the elementalist can even solo some parts of dungeons.
the necromancer will keep you always without conditions
the enginereer can surprise you with hundreds of tricks
the ranger is the best rezzer in the game, put double rez with the pet, use the spirit to instant rez people
the thief can stealth the whole party to skip hard trash, and they rez very well, they can also pull a single mob to kill him alone
the mesmer can be awesome in expert hands, they can negate almost all dmg on the party if they are well used.

In a few words: If you say a class is less than other, you need learn to play.

Again, the Biggest Problem with Dungeons

PEOPLE. You.

Everybody said this dungeon is easy, and yet you are wiping. It’s everyone else’s fault. Everybody said this dungeon is impossible, there is an inherent design flaw, the developers better fix it. Are you having a tough time with dungeons? Does every group you run in fall apart? Perhaps the problem is very near and dear to you, it’ YOU. Say hello to the weakest link, right in the mirror.

Of course it can’t be me. Every single group me got failed because PuGs are bad! After all, I had no problem reaching the end with my guild groups. Then again, who can live up to the standards of my guildmates! They are kind and understanding! They always let me come on dungeon runs when I asked. They are always there to pick me up when I am downed or dead while braving enemy fire!

Why do they pick me to join their group? Because I am a good player. The Legendary Weapon speaks for itself. Even my awesome guildmates don’t have one. Because, no doubt the game awarded me with such a fantastic piece of gear for my in-depth knowledge of farming spots and incredible leadership abilities! That is why they picked me to be part of their elite dungeon team!

How elite you ask? I mean just look at their “Dungeon Master” titles and a map completion star next to them! They run AC every single day! They know exactly which mobs to skip and which nook to get on to glitch every boss there! They also have CoF on farm! How many of you out there can clear Path 2 and successfully save Magg?! They are so fast and efficient that each of them can solo the boss long enough for the rest of the team to run back from the way point. Can you dodge a boss solo?! When they tell you CoE and Arah are impossible, you better believe them! Because they are the best!

Indeed, dungeons are only impossible because they are failed designed made by failed people and you can only exploit to complete them. You heard it ANet, step up your game and hire someone who knows how to make dungeons. How can anyone know what they are supposed to in dungeon other than DPS when there is no clear trinity to assign a healing and tanking role to players! Without the trinity, my guardian can’t possibly do anything but hack at enemies with a sword hoping my heavy armor lasts longer than their health!! What a stupid design?! TELL ME WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IN A DUNGEON!!

While we are on design, how about the new patch! Who in the world decided it’s a good idea to make dungeons more of a hell by removing waypoint rush?! How can anyone be expected to not die so many times to bosses. It’s ridiculous that bosses would attack me again after I spammed my 2 evades to get away the first time! How dare ANet make bosses that breaks the dodge mechanics by attacking me when I can’t evade!

This is why dungeons in GW2 is not fun! They are broken and impossibly hard. How can I expect to have fun when I’m constantly dead and can’t run back? Oh look! This PuG group killed the bosses without me! Look at these elitist jerks with their exotic armors. Now I look bad because I’m clearly laying on the ground dead while these jerks never bothered picking me up so I can go repair my armor.

How dare they punish PuG groups by removing Waypoint Rush? You know how much harder it is for the average players now? I mean I get how I can possibly clear these dungeons now with the right team and a lot of practice, but I’m an above average player casuals. No way in hell other casuals and the average players can beat these dungeons now! The only handful of people who think dungeons are still easy are just elitist! Look at their forum posts defending ANet’s failures! Fanboys! Elitists!

I’m not even going to touch Fractals because they won’t let me join level 10 groups! Why should I not skip levels! I am not a bad player, I don’t have all day to wipe through the first 9 levels! Look at all these elitist jerks talking about how easy the dungeons are. No way they completed dungeons without exploiting. One day they’ll be reported and banned On that day, the developers will finally fix the dungeons and I can finally have some fun.

Now, what is this “H” key you are talking about?

The people who will be hit hardest by this, unfortunately, will be the players in sparsely populated servers… that’s the only thing that gives me pause.

Remember that you can be in a guild that isn’t ‘native’ to this server. Now, granted, a lot of guilds might not be keen on this idea because they may have a pvp focus for WvW on TC (yes some of us do like our pvp) … but if there are guilds that have a community, leveling, or RP focus that doesn’t mind opening doors for guesting purposes, there are ways around this.

It may require people to seek out a host — that’s the thing I’d not like to impose on a player, but if it cuts down on trolls like that, I’d certainly understand. That’s why I proposed no chest loot, but I do realize some are spiteful enough to want to come and troll anyways. And I know exploiters will find a way to get an invitation to our server to work around requiring an invitation. So limits on chest loot may also be required. But it may take more than one ‘fix’ to really address the situation.

Though someone looking to guest could certainly go to the guilds forum and find someone to sponsor them, by joining a guild. There are ways around it.

Something has to be done though; when guests come to our server and then have the gall to tell us that if we don’t want lag then we should guest to another server… the system is broken.

You sorta brought this all upon yourselves.

You made the bed, now lay in it.

I don’t think it’s right to force a guest into overflow. They have every right to the content on the server they are playing on as you do. They paid the same price.

You don’t want lag? Guest to any of the other 23 servers for YOUR PvE needs.

Uhm, yeah. So that’s the caliber of guests visiting TC. Granted, it is not representative of the entire sample of those visiting, there very well may be people using guesting as it was intended…

But seriously ANet. Those of us who are on the server or have paid for transfers to the server are the ones entitled to experience non-overflow content on the server. Those of us who built the community and who are the community. As Kumu stated, we made the bed. If they liked the bed so much, why do they just want to visit? Have their cake and eat it too? Then transfer.

Guests should receive services as available, not at the expense of natives.
