1 event the larva defend is ok for solo player since most of the chack will aggro the guard first

2 next phase is a nightmare because the larva are stupid and making player defending more than one choke point against mobs with a brain dead VIP that keep getting in the fire zone .Also whats with the zero EXP , drop mob that spawn unlimited its really overkill here

3 Herding the beetle is Ok as long as you dont aggro those frog gank .But still making one player doing fed-ex over 10 Objective is a turn off

4 Ahem one mushroom is headache but ganks of Mobs that spam AOE and knock back. Are you Cereal! And the scaling is off too I soloed that and it need 15 part to complete it.And the placement of drop off NPC is too close too frog ganks and too far from the mushroom They leashed before reaching the drop off NPC

I tried again with 3 people and still need like 15 of mushroom piece as well Please change it that it need specific amount like doing Shatterer Pre-event.That will encourage people to do events

I didn’t have chance to do the rest yet because of random map close every 15 minute stop the chain event group going.

Just out of curiosity. Looking at the class specific forums everybody seems to be pointing the finger at everybody else. Nobody seems to be super happy with the state of their class…

If everyone thinks everyone else is OP, or every class thinks they’re the most UP, then you know you’ve achieved balance.

I noticed there is the deathwish staff, and undead armor scepter, and lich outfit and lich armor skins, and even the shadow of grenth backpack item. Yet there isn’t any real glider skin other than bat/demon wings to continue this theme.

Can you possibly make a glider that is based on the deathwish staff theme… If that is too much work, could you take and reskin the Batwings and remove the membrane to make them truly skeletal wings.

I know that not just necromancers and reapers, but others that like the dark themes would love this… <3

Please come out with these.

Fractals are still as good as dead.

Raids are toxic.

Revenant is dead.

Elementalist is dead.

Many other classes not worth playing.

Pvp still not separated from pve.

Shatterer is a visual mess after all those skill visual effect nerfs in the name of clutter. If you’re gonna mess up this bad atleast make it an toggle option instead of removing it at one place and adding it to another :/

Gliding through 3 year old content is fun for a few minutes but not worthy of being called a big update.

Ad infinitum still not available, and will probably have an absurd collection.

Current HoT legendaries have an ridiculously high goldsink and the part on how to get your precursor into the legendary is unclear in the game.

Teamspeak is not a part of Gw2 and shouldn’t be forced upon you when joining guilds/events or raids.

There’s a serious lack of real content.

New classes, races, faces, hair, customisation would not hurt the game in one bit, I would throw my wallet at the screen just to make some more pretty charrs!

More interaction would calm the community, show us what you’re working on, explain to us why you do a thing, teach us why certain things are done a certain way, show us you still love Gw2 and not just the money it makes you.

Tldr: the update is disappointing, they all feel like downgrades.

I will tell you why from my perspective:
I was waiting for over a year for a new exciting content. I was thrilled about raids, new fractals, legendary armor + craftable precursors, and the new WvW map. What I got is no legendary armor, 3 bosses that have mechanics that make my guardian a worse choice to any other profession, WvW map that is mostly empty, no new fractals, just destruction of dungeons, and precursors are several hundred gold cheaper to buy off the TP instead of crafting it – example: check The Legend requirements and the prices of spiritwood.

Something that would track events like world bosses, once a day chests, who did what during this day since reset.

If you have multiple characters and/or if you have multiple accounts, it’s easy to confuse which character did what since the reset last night.
If you’ve ever fought Tequatl and gone to collect the reward only to realize you already did it last nite on that character, you understand how this could be helpful.

Don’t forget about staff! Look at what sand squall does, then look at staffs magnetic aura… I know the world isn’t just black and white but its stuff like this that makes me think staff is so outdated its not even funny. they both have the same cd and one skill gives more utility than the other.

Where is my Sylvari hair?

Ever since I bought guild wars 2, which was preordered, I wanted a female Sylvari with the long leafy hair like in the race select, and in a lot of art. I expected my Sylvari to be able to look like this. I feel other races do achieve this.

How or why, of all the hairstyles that have been added, this one is not one of them?

To me, it feels like the Sylvari are missing something without this hair option and it makes me sad. I’ve been waiting a long time for this and have begged for this hair many times before.

Seriously, please, someone? Is there any info on this? I know most people play human but think of us trees, for Christmas!

Edit: just wanted to say whoever did the new female Norn hairstyles is a genius. Love them.

Rewarding the bad players with undeserved rewards will just lower their incentive to optimise their builds and equipment.

Most players have a pretty good idea about optimization

They really don’t, you’re overestimating people.

Hi, I’m sure many of you haven’t really heard about us but I run the guild TDMS, which was formed due to people getting tired of pugging Chak Gerent. While yes before the scaling was a bit of a problem with Gerent due to it being tricky to get the numbers right just in case pugs decided to randomly join in a lane, but that kinda added to some of the fun. I mean we all enjoyed the chance at a failure, even though we had roughly a 85% success rate so we didn’t fail much, but now due to the changes it has become way to easy where we actually get bored due to us having it dead by p2 on all lanes and sometimes almost killing it in p1 in some lanes!

So what I wanted to say was that, I know this might never happen, there should be some form of a challenge mote for those of us that want it be hard again with some better rewards, so that way you can keep it how it is now for pugs who want to finish their collection and offer better rewards for those who want it hard. It could be along the lines that in challenge mote Gerent has access to all of his abilities in a perma-broken bar phase with some form of a shield phase where you have to kill 2 adds while still having the same amount of time between burrowed phases. This would add the challenge that only a coordinated map can accomplish instead of one that was formed 20 min before it spawned. Like I said, I know the likely hood of this happening is very low but I’m interested on hearing what other people think of something along the lines of a challenge mote being implemented.

If you want hard contents, please just go do raids or Extreme mode from Story mode.

Let’s be honest, no-one enjoys random failure after 2 hours of preparation.

So normally I have post after post defending anet, so for someone like me to switch sides says a lot.

Because of the pvp update once you get to a certain point you literally can’t win in a pug, you have to find groups. Before even in high ranked games it wasn’t this bad. Was going for the new backpack and even won the 5 games on all of the professions thinking that unlocked the next tier of progression, but no I have to just play everyday. I don’t mind that but nothing else as a reward other than basic pvp loot. If we could at least work on the next set of achieves and just have an overall days played for an achieve that would work and be a huge improvement.

Can’t raid. I have a max herald, daredevil, chronomancer, reaper, condi or boonsteal necro, beserk warrior, dh, tempest, one of everything really. All max gear and stats, herald is full ascended armor, have several legendary/ascended weapons, doesn’t matter. Pugs just fail and don’t even see pugs that often. I’m usually off work tues/thur but seems like everyone does it on monday now.

Finding a guild would help with this but it seems like logically all the guilds who have the raid on farm have a core team already and don’t see any recruiting. PvP too.

Can’t do my map completion for the new legendaries b/c so much of it is event gated. DS seems empty most late nights. Rarely see the other maps that full either now. Definitely not 4/4 progress.

Other than going through the story and getting leystone armor pieces that way on 15+ alts not sure what else to do these days.

WOAW i just saw the new update on the gemstore! That’s awesome. I mean who cares about fractal changes and the fix of stonghold! What we want is to spend more money for items that you can get by paying real money instead of playing the game. Thank god the new awesome winter glider isn’t a reward for the wintersday event: that would mean that we would have to play XD !

No but seriously good job guys keep up the good work. After Paying 45€ for a flawless expension like this, what i want to do is pay more money for cool skins, instead of wining them by playing.
I don’t want people to think “WOAW, what an awesome stuff he has, he must be a good player.”
I want them to think “kitten , that man must be really rich in real life to spend real money for fake items, i hope he lives near me and is single”.

And yes it is still possible to get a glider skin by getting gold, but thank god, no one would spend 90 gold on a glider skin, especially on this well balanced economy!

The solution is for Anet to up the rewards and modify the difficulty so that it is on par with the other 3 Meta events. It is silly that killing an Elder Dragon is extremely easy and yet killing some large Chak is very difficult. Maybe the Chak should strive for world domination. They are obviously the most powerful species in the world.

Elementalists have been nerfed every patch, even though we were long ago effectively neutered.
Now ANet wants to further beat us down, forcing us to choose, in the words of Karl McLean, between “core” features. They don’t understand Eles, 50-60% of them play Rangers (who now press ‘2’ to win).
Only you can stop the continued persecution of elementalists. Make your dissatisfaction known.

As for me… I came back to this game after a year, and after about a week of playing I’m once again too frustrated to devote myself to continuing. There are so many easy fixes to the problems elementalists face, and nothing is ever done.

Conjures are absolutely useless.
Sceptre damage sustain is a joke.
Our elites are garbage.
I’m still upset about RtL!
Going with any build that doesn’t have the majority of trait points dumped into water and arcana is simply suicide.
Any skill that enters the meta is insta-nerfed.
Any strategy that enters the meta is immediately rendered impractical or ineffective.

What’s worse is that the community is still toxic towards eles because D/D builds are still in collective memory. You can get steamrolled by every class and nothing is apparently wrong with that, but as soon as you beat someone else as an elementalist you’re clearly overpowered.

Here are the best suggestions that I have seen, which, if implemented, would compel me to continue playing:

  • Completely overhaul conjured weapons to function as a single skill where your weapon changes according to your attunement, with benefits to conjured weapons added to existing traits.
  • Put Ride the Lightning back how it was.
  • Make sceptre auto attack deal damage proportionate to the target’s maximum health.
  • Give staff some actual potential to survive/escape melee (e.g. fire 4 also gives you fire shield; it’s a 2-handed weapon we have to have better defensive options).
  • Fix Bolt to the Heart. We’re already so limited on damage potential, this change was really stupid.
  • Reduce CDs on Evasive Arcana to be in-line with standard endurance recharge rates. When I gain enough endurance to dodge again, I want an effect based on my attunement. That’s the whole point of this kittening trait.
  • Do NOT make Evasive Arcana and Elemental Attunement both GM traits. That is dumb.
  • Give Swirling Winds back the ability to block siege shots… but only at a 33% chance.
  • Retool the useless traits that nobody even considers anymore (Zephyr’s Speed, for example… doesn’t stack with swiftness, which is extremely easy to come by, so kitten that).
  • Give elementalists a weapon-swap option so that we don’t have to physically open our inventories to change what we’re wielding. Lock it out in combat, so you can’t go from one weapon set to another in the middle of a fight as an ele, but can still swap to a staff if we are wanting to defend the walls in WvW.

Elementalists will take a cup of kindness yet, for Auld Lang Syne.

In PvP the Celestial varriant can beat about any other class in 1v1 and shrug of conditions as well as direct damage while dealing great damage themselves. Zerker with focus offer allmost no counterplay because all the spells are instant casts with instant procs from fire/air sigill. Even then they get all of that from their weapons and can take all the defensive utility they want.

(1v1 Isn’t even important in a Team Game, but as someone who enjoys dueling let me humour you. )
I have no idea why people keep touting this nonsense. There are a fair number of specs and classes that can outdo them 1v1.

Any warrior worth his salt should be able to destroy you. The number of Ele’s I have laid waste to on my main is unbelivably high, and literally all you need is a zerker amulet. The damage and pressure you put out if played properly is way too high for an ele to take time ramping up damage in Cele. Don’t even get me started on shoutbow which can outlast and beat this spec at it’s own game.

As for the Scepter/Focus zerk build, I went into a duel arena just yesterday and beat a few of these using a zerker amulet and RAMPAGE of all the skills. They really aren’t that hard to fight, god knows how easy a good necromancer would find it.

It is just a buzzword now.
