At this point I will be incredibly amused if thieves get a staff and it turns out to be awesome. So many people angry about what they are getting.

Soon enough, whatever event chain this is will be changed to be less farmable, unless the people who are farming it (finally) learn that ANet reacts badly to misbehavior in the form of using profanity to get their way. However, people really don’t seem to get it — no matter how many farms get nerfed because of conflicts between players.

No matter how much people think they may be justified, ANet is not concerned about these justifications. They’re concerned about appearances, and about removing conflicts between players that result in reports their personnel have to investigate. Continue with using profanity to intimidate others to get your way and you’re digging the grave for whatever farm you’re trying to protect. If you don’t believe me, look at the game’s history, for kitten’s sake.

Try thinking beyond the next moment where you might get a few champ bags to whether you want the farm to be available next bloody week for a change, if you can. ANet is not your best friend. They’re not going to side with you because “farming.” They’re going to look at numbers of reports and what it costs them to investigate and the impression these occurrences make on people who just wander in, like the OP.

It’s a blow rifle, kinda like those darts but much less range and has the possibility of the user passing out due to lack of oxygen.

The only version available now for Windows or Mac through ArenaNet is Heart of Thorns which includes the core game, Guild Wars 2.

You may be able to find a copy of Guild Wars 2 alone at your local retailer. Once you purchase a copy of the game and obtain a Serial Key, you can use that Serial Key to access the Mac or Windows version which you can download from the website.

Bo Staff makes more sense than a rifle. Right now Thieves have 2 melee weapons Sword & Dagger and two ranged weapons Pistol & Short Bow. It doesn’t make sense to give them another ranged weapon making them more of a ranged class. Staff if a common weapon in many martial arts, rifle … not so much. Staff would make sense from an AoE/Block Standpoint, Rifle doesn’t doesn’t bring anything logical to the table that can’t be covered by Pistol or Bow.

The visibility for the new hero challenge icons is very low on the maps compared to the old skills challenge icons.
The gold color blends to much with the environment compared to the old blue color

I’ve been seeing that guild’s tag around for a looooooong time, probably since launch, so they didn’t just pop up overnight in response to current events. They don’t bother anybody.

And I had my say on this subject back when the whole Marjory/Kasmeer debate was raging so I’m just gonna stop right there. We’re gamers, let’s go have fun together.

Because random strangers tend to make the RP people nervous. Some of the commentary on the boards, about RP, give reason why. It’s not personal . . . but protection from trolls.

I suspect we will never have a barber shop, unless we find 4 good male singers that will sing barbershop quartet style songs with Guild Wars Lyrics.

Too bad for people who are hoarding the writs and were hoping to potentially use those to power level masteries.

What about converting Dragonite Ore, Bloodstone Dust and Empyreal Fragments to currency? Now that would actually be helpful.

Probably left by that cowardly Gnashblade before he cleaned it out. It’s on the ground as trash since his promises aren’t worth the paper they are written on.

A true veteran wouldn’t need to ask this question… on the assumption you’re actually a new player with a dusty account, I’ll give you some pointers:

• Achievement Points – Story completion, PvE, crafting, and frequent completion of the dailies will net you some points for your account.
• Map Complete – Achieve 100% map complete on a character and a golden star will appear next to their name. While not worth a lot, it will at least show that you’ve actually put some time into playing the game.
• Titles – “Been There, Done That” or “Dungeon Master” or “The Sunbringer” are some titles that you can display on your nameplate to show-off your devotion. Titles that require skill are the best for this. You also get a title for every 5000AP you receive.
• Rare Armor Sets – Dungeon armor, Carapace armor, or even an Ascended Backpack will be a good start. If you’re more into the PvP side of things, Glorious armor is the way to go. These will show you have worked hard to claim your rewards. Cash Shop armor only shows how much money you’ve spent; those don’t count for anything.
• MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: Good Attitude – A heroic veteran helps new players, and leads their teammates to victory. A patient and helpful attitude can go a long way. Even in the face of verbal abuse, a mature player does not lower himself to the level of his attackers, and instead deals with the issue in a calm manner. Once you’re more well-versed with the game, perhaps you can try being the leader/officer within a guild, or even a commander on WvW? It is a tough role to take on, and will probably lead to people arguing with you on occasion, but if you are truly good at this game, it is a position that players will respect and maybe even compliment you on.

Piken Square for sure is or was the best EU server, especially for RP people but also for PVE in general and it even does good in WvW.

Mega-servers did however destroy that a little. Then again, if you are a RP guy then at the least if your guild go’s into WvW you can join them. So even with the damage from the mega-server I think it’s worth switching.

Yep. I work for free all the time and like to help others IRL. I don’t feel as if getting into beta would be work, but I definitely would like to get some insight into the expansion before it is released. From what I heard it is fairly polished already. I definitely wouldn’t consider playing any video game WORK.

funny i’ve seen condoleezza rice, gov chris christie on the same account that on player has, i’ve report them and nothing happend. few players made kim jong ill toons and they got acted on quick.

I think there is an element of whether or not the person is a public figure. The part about being a real life person may be, if someone deliberately for example to harass you or get others to harass you in real life, named a char with your full name (first middle and last). Assuming that you aren’t a public person then you could report for using your name and hope to get it banned. The name Kim Jong Ill is a public figure name but his name is more controversial than that of other famous political figures so, imo, that what caused that name to be banned but not the others.

If you think the odds are better after the 10,000 roll than the first roll, I have found your problem with this entire thread.

Yes, it is more LIKELY you will get 2000 after 10,000 rolls than a single roll, but the number of rolls has NO bearing on the actual odds of each roll.

This is the basic concept of RNG that most players just do not grasp.
