agreed. ive destroyed countless BL chests… sometimes i dont even bother to pick them up!

yeah Bow users could put a quiver as their back brace item slot.

yeah PvE endgame is currently horrible. but explorers shouldn’t be forced into WvW to get the map completion.

@mista mike – you are the biggest fanboy ive come across so far, and how can you expect someone to leave all there friends and guildies on a server just so they can get map completion?

read the lore for the ranger. the ranger is a master of nature and the environment. i 100% disagree with this idea – and i can 100% guarantee you this won’t happen.

I really like the lore journal idea, it would definitely be an incentive to complete the area. I also like the way point discount, because they are really expensive at the moment and a 25%-50% discount on way point costs would sound fair!

I’m really not too sure about the Vista idea as I have the impression that many players don’t bother watching the whole Vista cut-scenes (we have our own lives for scenery).

And I definitely feel there is a better way to implement the Map Completion Reward because right now I don’t feel any incentive to 100% a zone (getting useless items or materials).

the music i do hear is awesome. but i have experienced many times during the game that there is a significant lack of music and really wished there was an epic track in the background for that x factor.

even though OP has poor english, all his points are valid. the levelling experience is good because of the whole group questing/events. but this game needs a serious amount of work.

id rather have Anet focus on more pressing issues…

OP has a point. the game has not been tested thoroughly at all (dungeons and end-game content make this obvious) and now they release patches which haven’t been tested at all either. this is also obvious because of the sheer amount of patches they have released within a short amount of time. they are making things worse rather than better at the moment.

Why can a warrior use rifle but not ranger. You would think a ranger would use hand g uns and ranged guns not just bows. The thief uses hand guns which makes no sense because it’s meant to be stealth. Also makes no sense that a ranger can use a torch as a weapon but not a warrior. Also tigers and lions should be pets in games and more assortment of dogs.

I still think mounts and other means of travel should be in game. I don’t feel moved by teleporting like in star trek. Portals are fine but way points suck. Also I think some normal quests should be added to game. Realistically people would ask you to do stuff not just by chance run into situations.

I get the whole wanting to be different than other mmo’s but to have no horses or carriage system and people giving you quests feels dead to me. Lacking immersion.

I’ve tried all classes. Warrior and engineer seem very weak. Well, I guess we will see what people think and I will add more input providing I’m not dissed for my opinions.

it is a great game. but i feel it was rushed and quite a lot of the content wasn’t actually tested thoroughly.

i would also like to see the total amount of hp they have in the top middle section of the screen along with their conditions etc. (rather than over the enemys head)

or just buff the sceptre and staff skills so they aren’t completely useless.

its obvious anet haven’t tested any level 30+ content. they just add more trash mobs to get incinerated into the AOE which are DE’s

hes not wrong. money is hard to earn just from the lack of “jobs” you could do in other rpgs. there is nothing worth farming or completing because there is no such thing as good loot in this game.

hell there was better boss fights on gameboy zelda games.

dungeon rewards aren’t useless unless your farming the same dungeon for gold/experience. WvW death penalty is the same as a PvE death penalty.

Well basically he is trying to say is when you hit level 80, everything you do has limited rewards. Where is the fun in that?

I hope they pay attention to the other more important problems such as bugs, re-balancing and mechanics before they start to add new content. Otherwise the problems will mount up.

What I think needs to be done.

Add proper death penalty. Fix bugs. Waypoint costs to scale with distance not level.

Got banned for 3 days for saying the ‘N’ word. It wasn’t even directed at anyone in particular and I highly DOUBT it actually offended anyone. Probably just some stupid kid who thought it would be fun to report me. But it looks like everyone on these forums are extremely sensitive.

I suggest a Soldier profession (either Guardian or Warrior).

Both professions are noob-friendly, but don’t necessarily imply they have a high skill-cap either. The best thing is the get heavy armor, but still get good mobility/damage output and you will feel strong playing them, which in turn results in fun!

Guardian if you want to be more support orientated (good for PvE)
Warrior is pretty much a guardian but has a better ranged alternative (rifle/longbow)

agreed. it makes sense. it would be stupid to do 100% map completion AGAIN for another character.

Dynamic Events = Timed and continuous, optional events.

Warrior is probably the most versatile class.

Good melee, good range. High armor/hitpoints.

this is how it works for level 80’s.

Crafting to 400 – Craft your own Exotic lvl 80 gear.
Dungeon Tokens – Farm dungeons for tokens which in turn you can trade in for level 80 exotic armor/weapons.
Farm Karma – farm dynamic events for Karma in order to purchase Temple/God armor in level 80 zone “Orr”

From all of these methods you can also obtain gold, and just buy Exotic level gear off the trading post.

yeah PUG’s can be annoying sometimes. But i am level 80 and have never been in a group other than a PUG and I’m almost full exotic w.e and haven’t had any other major issues (other than a 3 day ban). System works for me.

So basically I never attacked a player based on their race? And if I did offend someone so that they reported I wouldn’t know who that player so I never knew it offended someone in the first place.

I didn’t receive an email of chat logs or anything about it – I really don’t think I deserve a three-day ban for whatever incident I was reported for. I definitely did not attack a player based on their race. Saying the ‘N’ word does not mean I’m racist and I never said it in a offensive way towards another player?

Basically I think I got banned for saying the ‘N’ word in a non-offensive way, indirectly and someone thought they might like to report me. Do I really deserve a three-day ban?

ARAH Dungeon Shard Farm now patched. FML

Basically in the Lvl 80 Dungeon Arah, the most efficient method was farming the first two ‘boss’ encounters which were the Wraithlord Minions by using the shortcut from the Crusher/Hunter to the Mage. Now that has been patched so you now have to take a longer route which is more difficult and time consuming.

The grind is now quite longer… what do?

would really like to know where i should invest my points as a greatsword guardian.

I want to focus on a Greatsword guardian build. Where should I designate my points because ill need damage and tankiness?

@Sinos how well do you clear PvE content solo with your Guardian?
