T1 medium does glow on females at least. The whole upper arm portion and the berry-like thingies at the waist
I just finished Suspicious Activity, lvl 48 step of Whispers path. I picked the vigorous ring of the knight for reward. Howeber, what i was rewrded with is a plain vigorous ring, without the ornate emerald jewel upgrade. A bit of a bummer.
It’s a quest instance. A search on the wiki should tell you all you need to know.
Would be nice if they had a somewhat less snassy appearance that is still within the theme. A lovely sideeffect of that would be a fifth sylvari armor set.
Adding the most recent one I had issue with:
Rat-tastrophe. Did it as lvl 45 thief. The problem is the amount of destroyers you get saddled with in each wave, and there is no letup between each. Stacking burns quickly killed the npc’s and then I had to run around kiting using dual pistols. Still left me with a handful of deaths.
I am playing a sylvari Necromancer minion master with a Staff. I get to the story mission where I have to fight the Lich while the centaurs fight the undead. I don’t know who designed this but clearly they thought that only Gaurdians or Warriors were going to do this quest. It forces you to use a sword that doesn’t even have good attacks or powers. As a Necromancer who uses his minions to take the brunt of the damage this means that I am now completely out of my element. I have tried all the different options of utility spells but since they are all minion spells and I’m being gang banged by six different undead brutes plus the lich without my staff to support the minions that means I am kitten. I tried using other unlocks I have but nothing works and now all my armor is broken and I have to restart it. I can’t get past this quest as it currently is, this ladies and gentlemen is a badly designed quest.
Hello IronHide,
Can you please give some more specifics as to which step this is or the level? What Order did you select? Off the top of my head, I think you may be fighting Mazdak, does that sound correct?
We can have someone check into that once we know a little bit more.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback.

Just had issues with this one myself the other day. It is indeed Mazdak, “A tangle of roots” perhaps? The first quest you get as you choose Order of Whispers. I think that unless you are used to kiting like mad it is rather hard. (And even then it can be bothersome).
My biggest issue as a thief was that when I stealthed after healing if I were the last man standing (which I often was, the only one of my NPC allies that stood up for more then a minute being Traherne) Mazdak would reset. That meant I’d have to deal with all those adds that he spawned in at 25% health again, after clearing them once (or twice, or thrice) allready.
I noticed as I visited the Shiverpeaks with my charr that the footprints made in the snow look very odd. Running they seem to point backwards and walking they point straight to the sides, as if the legs were rotated out from the hips like a ballerina.
It’s in your mail.
Third (or maybe fourth) time is the charm. Managed to drag him out of the graveyard after the adds were dealt with (one being ever so kindly to trip my thief trap before dying) and thus had a bit more room to manouver and something that kept him in battle when I hit my heal.
He spawns adds even after resetting, which is what has me the most frustrated and makes it so circular.
I’m having a very hard time with the Sylvari personal story quest “a tangle of weeds” on my thief. The lich is all fun and games until he spawns his adds. Then it goes downhill. It seems that my extra company gets blown to bits by merely looking at them, so it’s basically me and Traherne on our feet. I try and roll and dodge and whatnot while firing away at the adds, but they are rather overwhelming to me in a group. The big issue for me however is how the lich resets as soon as he’s out of combat. Wich means if I’m the only one standing he’ll reset if I heal. Or if I die. Which means that the adds will be spawned back in as I take up the fight. It’s rather circular and frustrating, and I’m obviously doing something wrong.
