Yeah, I guess you’re right Boomstin, and they could do so much animation wise other than just that with the more unique pets. I personally would have a steam eagle.
So I don’t know if this has been suggested, but I couldn’t find it. I’m about to make a Ranger, and I got onto the wiki to see my options for what pets I’d be able to use. Although the variety is pretty good, I started thinking about how cool it would be if the variety went beyond that of the natural wildlife of Tyria. More specifically, what if there were more than just steam ogres and minotaurs, like dogs and drakes, and what if we could tame them! :O
Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part, but I was wondering what other people thought of this radical new idea. Good idea, bad idea? Who else wants to see robotic, otherworldly, and otherwise odd pets being given as an option to rangers?
I talked with support for a few days, they don’t think I’m getting my money back. It’s not a big deal, as it was only one gold, but I’m just hoping that this occurrence is as rare as they claim it is, because losing anything more expensive than that sword would just be awful.
Thank you for the reply. My pick-up tab has been empty for quite some time now. I’ve contacted support about this, I’m hoping that this is just a minor bug and that my money will eventually find its way to my pick-up tab. It’s been almost two days though :/
It’s been over a day. The sword isn’t in transactions, inventory, bank, it most definitely has been sold. It simply left my account to somebody else’s account without the money being sent to me. I really hope I get my money at some point.
Has nobody else experienced this problem?
Okay, so it’s been about 3 hours and I still haven’t gotten the money for my weapon. It’s under the “items sold” tab, am I just not waiting long enough? People in my guild told me that it only takes about 5 minutes max, and most of the time I get my money instantly. Where’d the money go for my cleric’s sword?
I checked my transactions and my inventory. I also checked the “item’s I’ve sold” tab and it says I sold it for 1 gold, 9 silver, so I know I sold it. I’ll wait to see if the money comes.
I just sold my level 80 Exotic Cleric Sword for 1 gold, 9 silver on the Trading Market. I got this sword from the Karka final event. But even though it said it was successful, I have no money in the pick-up tab. Please Help!

Thank you Arghore, I sent information in to Anet. The situation has gotten so bad now that sometimes I can’t even get past the initial loading screen without the game booting me off again, so I hope they have a solution.

I’m really going to have to agree with others on this and say that the problem is most likely on GW2’s end and that it has nothing to do with computers or security systems. It appears that this problem started to occur since the last patch, which implies that part of the update is bugged and that this bug is effecting various accounts. Because of this, I don’t believe that there is much we can do except post our problem on forums and wait for a patch that’ll fix the last one.

Sorry, I may have mislead you. The same looping occurs if you were to play any online game and turn off the router. That specific event has nothing to do with hardware. I don’t think the issue has anything to do with hardware at all, actually, as my hardware is identical to my brother’s and he doesn’t have any issues with Guild Wars 2.
Many, many people are having trouble with this. I have a post of my own, actually, and there are several other forum posts of this identical problem. The issue seems largely unresolved so far, which is a problem because in the mean time people like you and I are essentially prohibited from playing the game. We’ll just have to wait until somebody figures out the problem with Guild Wars 2.

I run an identical computer to my brothers, and his guild wars 2 gaming experience has been flawless (no connection errors of any sort). He uses the same internet as me, so I don’t believe it could be an ISP or a state problem. I’ve turned Firewalls off and on, and I use Norton, though I’ve tried uninstalling it already (as I said, I’ve already tried the support suggestions). Also, I use identical security as my brother, and as I said, his works and mine doesn’t. In fact, the only difference I can think of between my brother’s case and I (other than the fact that his works and mine doesn’t) is that I turned up my graphics, but this isn’t the issue either because I’ve tried to turn mine down to the same level as his. There is nothing prior to the kick, except that for a moment everything stops moving as if I’ve been disconnected (avatars stand still, animations and audio sounds repeat themselves, etc). If you still want me to give my computer details, I can, but as far as I can tell this can’t be the issue.

I should also note that I’m not running any battleping alternatives. Also, unlike some people, this problem is not specific to a region of the game. I’ve created different characters to see whether it was the starting location of the Sylvari that had the issue, but I was disconnected as a human as well.

I’m not sure what battleping is actually, but I can assure you that I’m not running it. Apparently this problem is much more widescale than I thought, and the reason that I couldn’t find forums on it is because they are mostly posted on the tech support forum page. Nonetheless I would like to get this problem resolved, as I enjoy the game and would like to play with my friends.

I digitally bought Guild Wars 2 today and started playing as soon as the game was finished downloading. I created a character and hardly got into the game before it disconnected me with error 7. It continued to do this every 5-10 minutes I played the game, although sometimes the time ranged further, so that at times I was able to play up to a half-hour before disconnecting. I’ve done everything on the support page to try to fix this, but the problem persists. Sometimes the game even disconnects me instantly, bringing me back to the character select screen most of the time, although at some point it would keep logging me out altogether. Many people seem to be having this problem, but other than trying what support offers for help, there seems to be no solution. I’ve speculated that it kicks me off because my server has a high population, but this probably isn’t the issue due to the overflow server solution that the game has. I enjoy the game, but I can’t continue to play like this. Please help, and thank you.
