Ok, I feel a little better… I’m 30, thought I was one of the older ones
I had a good giggle at this! Thanks a ton for putting that little snippet of dialogue in
Ok after reading the seemingly endless discussion on this topic I feel like a couple things are being missed or ignored.
1. The zerg has a job. They’re looking to complete events. Having 50 people stop to help 1 person derails that
2. If you’re off doing heirlooms, you’re acting for yourself, so it’s hypocritical to expect people to stop working as a group to rescue the unhelpful lone wolf.
3. “Save the citizens” gets everyone better rewards by the end (if enough are saved), thus helping the entire “zerg”..
I’ve seen both ends of this:
Last night, I rezzed a player who got downed by toxic krait in the water (he/she went too close to the giant drill).
I ressed, and they swam off, without a “thanks” or anything.
I find the lack of manners in this one disturbing..
On the other side, when I fight groups and 3 people run past without stopping to help. or they bring their aggro’d enemies with them, I find that a bit rude too. I’ve been fortunate enough to (most times) be able to manage the load, but for goodness sake, help a brother out.
As for “Not safe to rez”, Well, I got downed, misted away to safety, but because of area damage, my heal kept failing. 4 groups of people ran past, with no enemies around and didn’t bother to help. I wasn’t “dead”, just in downed state.
I find this sort of thing has been happening a lot more lately.
I like her.
I like that she’s overtly insane, and specifacally the reason she became that way. I wanna see what happens further.
I think Lore wise, some achievements are fine being gone, however, I too am disappointed that certain acheivements have been removed (that have the doable content this year round)

I enjoy SAB enough too … +1 to permanent SAB
….
Cantha!…
I think the acheivement is given as you Port so wait till then, once you have the acheive you will have access to 2-2
:P Be glad it didn’t happen on 2-2 to go to 2-3

What’s this pagoda everybody is talking about? I’ve done zone 2 in normal and infantile mode, and didn’t encounter this gong bit… At least not with the annoyance everybody else is apparently experiencing…
I found the gong section ok.. on infant, normal, and tribulation (there seems to be nothing different in TM for it) . Reminds me of Indiana Jones.
Did you get the achievement for completing 2-1? And did you stay till the zone progressed to 2-2?
So, I’m sitting trying to get bifrost … after a year….
Biggest problems are a) the Legend;
b) globs of ecto
c) crystalline dust…
at this point I have 70 gold left (after buying gift of colour, and gift of energy recipes and 100 icy loadstones). I’ve done gift of mastery, and gift of energy..
Does anyone have any advice on progressing further with this?
LOL Those bugs are made EXTRA frustrating when you have latency issues…
2x checkpoints worth of trial and error, only to die JUST before the next working checkpoint.. and then get respawned 2 back…
I shoulda video’d myself raging.. would be epic. :P < took a while though but I did eventually finish that.

I’d like to give my input in this:
Josh, SAB is one of my favourite modes, and I’ve found its brought back many fond memories of my childhood games.
As for difficulty, I enjoyed world 2 zones 1 – 3, (including the dart traps) <— nice touch… (PS. I know I’m a little late jumping in the discussion here)..
Once I got the path, it became much easier to do things (including the gong tower).
I live in South Africa (so latency, I have), however, I enjoyed the timing mechanics of the geysers (I see they were since made static though), and trying to find my way around the rapids (after much sliding backwards, I got the jumps).. and found the (secret? ) routes around the rapids.
I’ve found SAB to be one of my favourite modes/ challenges, since Jumping Puzzles are some of my favourite content in GW2
I’ve now done tribulation mode worlds 1 and 2, and (apart from a checkpoint/spike and checkpoint/cloud bug in zone 2) I’ve really enjoyed it.
The enemies react very much like they used to in games that I used to play (took a while to figure out good ways to fight them) :P
I only realised there was a difficulty nerf later < I realise that this is to accomodate most players, but I will say that I really did enjoy it as it was
So, thanks for this mode.
