Because that program shows the path your connection takes from your computer to Anet’s server. Because that program will show which node is having issues and how bad.
Because it shows you exactly how the internet works.
If you don’t want help, then fine. But at this point, you were told what you need to do to prove it it really is at Anet’s server.
Oh, and most of the posts you are talking about complaining of the same issue, a lot of them (I think I remember 3 posts where it was an Anet issue) showed it was either the person’s ISP or a node in between.

Want to know why they did this? Because nice big 80s would go to a level 1-15 zone and 1 shot everything when a lowbie character was working on events or anything. Sometimes the 80s would just farm a spot that a lot of low level characters would be in just to grief them. Now both of them are almost on par and can fight equally. It’s not about loot, if you are trying to kill something, and the moment it spawns it’s dead instantly, how are you expected to even have a chance for credit.
So this can affect your immersion all you want, it is actually better for the game this way. There was a time when it wasn’t, and it was an awful mess back then.
I completely disagree. I don’t think levels should be controlled in this way. I can understand why they would do it – in a way they had no choice because they made the world one large constant zone. But it’s still stupid.
So how would you stop a level 80 1 shotting all the mobs in an area preventing a lowbie from even working on anything there? You can disagree all you want, so then how would you fix it besides how it is currently done?
I wonder how big of a problem this really is. I play several MMOs where level isn’t adjusted depending on area, and I’ve never had any problem with capped characters coming down to lower level areas and griefing me. I do my quests and level just fine and rarely ever even see a high level in these zones.
It was big when I was playing WoW. And not for the high levels to quest faster, but to just be annoying. Happened in the beginning of GW2 a lot. I remember it being a huge issue (I leveled in WvW back then, because it was so bad). Most other games don’t really have a reason to go back. SWTOR you had to do the story to be able to go to the next world really, otherwise you weren’t going to see much. Going back to grief was most of a waste of your time then harassing people since some of the really good parts were actually instances.

Actually SWTOR’S system is all behind pay walls. You have to pay for the monthly fee + pay for that option. And dyes in SWTOR? Oh, they were 1 time use, also, behind pay walls.
You can earn Transmutation charges in game without ever having to pay real money for them. Or you can exchange gold for gems and but them from the gem store. I guess technically you can in SWTOR, if you pay the monthly fee and save up the in store currency, but you still have to pay money for that.
Oh, and incase you didn’t know, EA doesn’t except pre-paid credit cards.
I remember a time when getting the level 80 transmutation stones were almost impossible to earn in game. And before the wardrobe. I like the new system a lot better. Unless you are changing your look daily/weekly, you shouldn’t need a lot of charges.

Wait, that’s where I got those armor sets? I played A LOT of sPvP forever, and never paid attention to my skins. Some of them are super ugly. I can’t see why people want them…
But I don’t feel prestige about them. I’m fine with a new reward track for them, maybe make them gated? So you need to do the track 6 times as the end piece is the armor. Then, it’s not hard, but it takes time. My only request is that they stay tied to being earned only in sPvP. They were earned there, they should stay there.

To answer your question Deslicious.2547, we don’t normally do this. We only very occasionally make an exception and block an account for this type of behavior. It has to be repeated, and pretty extreme, as is the case here.
Still hasn’t provided any details despite how many times I asked for them.

They didn’t offer. They said talk to support. From what they have twice now, sounds like you have been extremely bad over and over and they are done with you.

The PTS for WoW is awful. And it’s only available when they are putting out a new patch.
Oh, and bugs still make it through. Because a test server and live server are still different and what works on test, will have issues on live. It happens. That is how computers/servers/programming/etc works.

How they’ve setup multiple guilds is pointless, its still one guild and another 4 you’ve joined but not actually taking any part off…
How so? The PvE guild I belong to I help people in chat, or invite them when I do free SAB runs. The WvW guild I belong to gets the same benefits, same invite options, same answers. One guild I wear the tag of, one I do not. When the PvE guild is doing events, I rep them and support them, when it’s WvW time, I rep and support.
How is that not taking part?
To the main topic: The biggest issue I can see from the OP is that it’s the “my way or no way” mentality. I can see that from the comments they have made about the system and how “my guild has this issue”. Just because it works in 1 game, doesn’t mean it will work in another.
Like this, if you have set PvP times, people have to know that is when they are required to rep the guild. You can’t just go “if you are in HotM, you have to rep the guild” and then the person is just solo queuing. The system works for many many guilds. And it’s been in the game for 3.5 years. They certainly aren’t going to change it.

You send in a ticket to Anet (click support at the top of this page, then “Submit a ticket” on the top right of the new page you navigate to) and they will assist you in changing the email.

I have 2 guilds I’m in just for the name and memories, and 2 main guilds. 1 is my main pve/pvp/wvw guild, the other is a specialty pve guild.
The current system lets me talk with both guilds. It’s even better now that the guild bank is cross server (remember when it was per server) and you can see the guild chat of guilds you aren’t currently repping. That makes this system even better.

Maybe the item barely sold when it was first released? It could be the money they made from it wasn’t worth adding it back to the store. And since SAB is going to be yearly, adding it to a merchant and disappears will still have it attached to the merchant. Adding it to the gem store might take more time. It could be at it’s just not worth it to them anymore. But I’m still on the:
You pay what you want, and if it goes on sale, it does. It they give it away, they do. Anet does have a grace period, but 2 years is most certainly outside that window.

Have you ever bought an item from a store, and 6 months later the price dropped? Did you go the store and demand a refund for it? Did you refuse to buy from them because they could drop the price after you buy something at any point?
That is how buying anything works.

The only thing I agree with is the edit function for a listing (whether a buy order or sell order) without having to claim the item/gold and relist. But in this situation, I am still for the full price to list as the original listing fee (as in, whatever the amount the item is being sold for, the current formula being used is still applied).
The TP was one of Anet’s gold sink. Reducing the cost defeats that purpose. If you have to change your sell price because of a mistake, you should follow the “measure twice, cut once” mentality and check your numbers. Yes, mistakes happen, but if you are careful, you can reduce it greatly.

Your image is showing a 4% packet loss. And that will cause the latency, but it’s not skyrocketing. Since that is at the server ISP, send the image in a ticket to Anet so they can look at it. Your picture is an example of a legitimate issue.

Um, they have 3 different levels for the guild bank. If your guild hasn’t unlocked it yet, you could work on that, but do you really need more then 3 rank access?

You’re selling too many too fast. I get it once in a blue moon. Sell more often (since you don’t have to be at the TP to sell) or deal with it. If you really need to hear from Anet create a ticket.

Honestly saying nothing about this until a fix was actually implemented would have been preferable. If only to act as a deterrent. Giving the okay to this will now only encourage the practice further. It doesn’t just trivialise the skins & infusions, it trivialises all the players who are completing tribulation mode the intended way.
I hope a fix is implemented sooner than the end of the festival. It should really be a priority.
Yep. I opened LFG yesterday to advertise a group for the daily and saw the amount of SAB sells. For a second I though of selling w2z3 as that is what I was farming but thought against it as it did not seem right but now I am going to cash in big time which still doesn’t feel right but hey, it’s allowed.
On the bright side, the LFG advertisements didn’t increase until after ArenaNet said it was OK to do it. This means most players aren’t willing to risk their accounts for taking advantage of something that isn’t working as intended. Since it’s officially OK to do it now, nobody has to worry about getting banned for it.
And if we didn’t get official word on where ArenaNet stands until later, or not at all, the complaints would be a whole lot worse. People don’t like it when they’re silent about an issue. So Chris’ response is appreciated, at least by me.
To be honest, I think we may be making a big deal out of nothing. It really isn’t hurting anything for people to pay for tribulation runs.
The only problem is, by the literal definition of exploit as it pertains to MMO’s selling SAB runs the way they are doing it is an exploit. Their allowing of this exploit sets a precedent for future exploits. It means there are exceptions and now players will argue that the exploit they used is the same as this and therefore should be an exception to the rule.
Back when GW2 was released, there was a karma “bug” from a merchant in Kessex Hills. Some people exploited this bug (the item was selling for a lot lower then it should have been). A lot of people were banned for that exploit, but they were given a chance to be sorry about it, and lose all the profits they made. They’ve already set the precedence about exploits.

It clearly states that on the message, on that page there is a “submit a request option” as well.
And Anet just asks for ticket numbers and responds to those ticket numbers. They would never look into any account on the forums since they can’t authenticate the account in a secure environment.

Please do something against these, sell SAB tm, sell dungeon, sell raid 5g 10g etc. things…
It’s disgusting, unfair, and it has a high chance of scam…And before someone who knows everything comments, no I didn’t get scammed or anything, it’s just annoying to see all these in LFG…
And if the person is scammed, they lose their money. Mind you the person who is scamming also gets reported and dealt with. So say someone loses 5g, not that awful, but is it worth getting banned over 5g?

So Bus interface is basically slot and speed the card is plugged into. Your GPU-Z screenshot showed nothing. It could be the video card having an issue. If the laptop is still under warranty, you could call the manufacture and explain the following
“Getting pixelated video on laptop, running GPU-Z shows bus interface as unknown instead of what slot the video card is in and speed it’s running at.”
If it’s not under warranty, calling will cost you money, so it would be better to take to a local computer repair and talk to some. Some of them can give an idea, and if they need to look at it you can go from there.
I don’t know of any causes why a computer wouldn’t show what slot and speed the card is running at.

Something is up with your bus interface. It should have things written there and not unknown. Usually says what slot the card is in, and what it’s running at.

Try removed the radeon software crimson edition (I don’t have AMD, and right now I can’t remember the full correct name). And if that doesn’t fix it, run the game in full screen windowed mode, and at the same time run GPU-X to make sure the game is using your Radeon card.

Hi,
I’ve been experiencing a lot of lag and constant disconnects in the past few days (since the last patch).
I’ve been trying to play Super Adventure Box in tribulation mode and this problem makes the adventure way more tedious. Now I don’t mind the lag that much as I purchased an infinite continue coin so I can just try over and over again. I do mind however that after working for nearly an hour and a half on World 2 Zone 3 I get a random disconnect (and my internet connection never gave up, I had videos playing on my second monitor) as I was killing the Storm Wizard, 20 minutes before daily reset, making it impossible for me to get the daily token from that zone for the Storm Wizard skins. It’s already hard for me to get all the skins as SAB will only be available for 19 days and there are 16 skins which means I can’t afford to miss more than 3 dailies.
Is there anything I can do to help with the disconnects/lag or is this issue really just because the servers are too busy with all the players? Is there anyway I can get some compensation for my missed daily?

So the dailies (the Do 3/5 of the SAB ones) do not require Trib mode. Trib mode is only really needed for the achievements for trib Or the tokens for each zone for the weapons. You don’t miss out on Dailies if you get disconnected in trib mode.
Trib mode can be done as many times as you want to farm the tokens.

So I think Anet heard me for Trib mode. I’ve done Zone 1 like 8 times today, and the starter video has disappeared. Maybe it’s just a 1 time daily thing now?

I wish I could skip that intro scene in World 1 Zone 1. Unless I’m really bad and haven’t figured out how. Farming Zone 1 trib mode (I do 1 zone at a time until I hit 16 so my fingers hit memory mode making it easier on me) and watching that cut scene was cut the first couple of times.

The key drops from any creature in the zone. It’s not specific to the blue monkeys. So try killing everything.

You wont get anything. The only time, that I’m aware of, they gave something in return to an announced change, was when they removed MF from gear stats. It’s like"waa~ waa~ they changed something, I must demand compensation" has become the community’s slogan or something.
Actually, with the removal of MF from gear, they let people turn that gear into whatever stat combo they wanted. Because the gear became useless, it was missing a stat, and Anet couldn’t just change it to a certain one, since they didn’t know what people had before. It’s not like I got anything for free, I just got what I had already earned.

If logging into the forums is slow and you can’t log into the game, something is going on with your connection. Whether it’s the actual ISP, or a hop between you and Anet that is having issues. The login server is fine. I just tried it and I’ve been on the forums most of the afternoon with zero issues.

I’ve been experiencing connectivity issues for a couple weeks. I live in the North East United States. I’ve been fine for a whole week, and this morning the issue has returned.
Severe lag followed by a disconnect. The type of lag where you activate an ability and it just flashes but your character does nothing.
I wont bother posting my system specs, because I know that this is an issue outside of my Computer/Wifi. When I use the shared internet on my phone to play GW2 I have no connectivity issues.
Is anyone else in the Northeast United States having this issue? I’m thinking something wrong with a hub or something.
If you run ping plotter (free program), it will tell you where the issue is. Just on any map where you are noticing the issue, type /ip, and use that ip in ping plotter. It’ll show if there is an issue, and where the issue is.

So when I read about HoT, I don’t remember it saying that it would include all legendary weapons on release, but it would have some. Does anyone have a link to the legendary promises? I don’t want a paraphrase, but I wanted to see what it said.

So looking at your picture you posted:
The seige, you can have your guild store it, you don’t HAVE to, you are choosing to. It’s not really needed. All those boxes on tab 3, same deal, you don’t have to keep them, you are just choosing to. You could open them, and salvage the gear from it. But you are keeping them. The unused recipes, same, you can use them, or ditch them, no need to keep.
That’s 14 slots you are choosing to have, and it’s not “needed”.
15 slots: Black lion chests
16, 17: extra resources (the mithril and elder wood)
Now, I’m not saying you better get rid of it. What I am saying is, you are choosing to keep all of that. If you wanted to say they were forcing you to buy extra bank tabs, it’s not because of the game (since nothing I listed makes or breaks the game play for you personally), it’s not them forcing you, it’s your own hording habits not letting you get rid of materials you don’t need.

In theory, achievement points are awarded for, well, achieving things. Certainly, some of the achievements are less-than-challenging and some are just busy-work. However, they all share at least one characteristic: they take a little time to finish.
Conveniently, ANet has offered us a simple way to earn an extra 10 points/day through the optional daily system. You can still earn AP the usual ways.
If you think dailies are taking you too long to complete, then look for ways to speed things up. Presumably you agree that there are typically two “simple” options in PvE: gathering, vistas, activities, and mystic forge. So that leaves just one daily.
Thanks for the suggestions, however, they all still involve playing ANet’s way and not mine. I am no stranger to AP – I have nearly 11,000 points – and I have no problem with earning it, but I liked the way it used to be earned.
And yes, I know it is optional – but again: my point is why should I forego AP just because I have 13 level 80 characters and do NOT feel like hanging around in, for example, Metrica, to get events. Yes, I know about chain events. Yes, I even know where they are. My point is I do not want to be there doing those events, period. I also do not want to be held to a schedule to do the bosses because – again – my playing time is limited. Not only that, but the chat that goes on while waiting for those events, and during those events, and regarding what other people are or aren’t doing right in those events – let’s just say I’m not part of that age demographic that finds it amusing. And yes, I know I can block my chat. But why should I have to??
This game was supposed to have been founded to adhere to certain principles – and I believe this issue of forcing players into a rigid structure in order to earn AP violates those founding principles.
You know dailies give a max amount of AP right? And once you hit that amount you won’t get any more. So if you don’t like the days dailies, don’t do them. It’s 10 AP.
Everything you have said is “I don’t want to, but I want it” Well, if you want it that bad, do it, and if you don’t, then do something else.

If I stop playing Gw2 for a couple months, I don’t want someone being allowed my names that I have had.
If I’m on a mega server, I don’t want someone else with my name talking in map chat. That will be super confusing and if they are a troll, it will cause me way too many issues.
So, I’m completely happy with the current system.
Was that enough detail for you? I realize you personally (to the OP) told some people their opinions were invalid since they weren’t giving enough details. Does mine count?

You have to reply to your ticket for assistance. They don’t read the forums with the exception of the 3 days of no response thread.

You know those numbers include business sales too? A lot of companies use Macs for graphics work. I used to date someone who sold macs to businesses. Unless you can show that number being solely residential use for gaming, it doesn’t show Anet anything.

Note: While it is needed for map completion, the Mirkrise waypoint was destroyed due to events in the Living Story, and is thus permanently contested.

You need to run ping plotter if you want to assist Anet is figuring out the disconnects. Doesn’t matter what your connection is, if one of the hops between you and them is having issues, you’ll most likely disconnect from the game. If it’s Anet’s server, they need to see the ping issue as well.
And don’t show a picture of the ping in game, that doesn’t show where the issue is. Just that it’s an issue and for all anyone knows, it really could just be your router.

Wait, you don’t want to redeem the gems in the game, where the only place you can spend them is in game?
I’m confused. I could see that if you could spend them on the website wanting to add them via the website, but you can’t. So I don’t see the issue. Unless you want to add them at work where your partner can’t see you adding it because they don’t want you spending so much money on the game…

You have to wait for your ticket to be answered. They assist those tickets in the order they are received. Posting on the forums will not get your assistance faster.

Reading that hurt my eyes, but from what I see, something at your isp is causing you to go to 140ms ping. That’s a lot from modem to ISP so you should talk to them.

I upgraded my account, but the game is still acting as though I’m on a free account!
After you upgrade a free account, you’ll need to exit the game and log back in to see your permissions change. There’s also a longer delay (up to five days) before mail attachments, the Black Lion Trading Company, and guild banks are unlocked. You should see a message in-game displaying the time remaining before you have full access to these features.
If it’s not one of the above features you are missing, go check on the website that the code was added to the account. And then if it was, and you relogged the game, create a ticket.
