It was actually changed because if you used F2 F3 F1 virtually at the same time you could PERMA blind. Like in the second the pet got in range nearby enemies would have 45 seconds of blind and would never be able to attack. Not even like quickness rapid fire could land a hit through the blinds.

But Their hardest counter is the warrior, and it’s always been the warrior. Warriors lack playtime atm but even the core rampage warrior would own any flavor of necro, be it core or Reaper.
That’s why I think necros are still not that great.

Ranger: Why go dps when druid is more powerful and easily beats thief?
Mesmer: Have had a 50/50 win rate against thief ever since the June patch even as dps. With Chrono Mesmer outperforms thief.
Ele: Why go full dps when tempest is so much better and counters thief?
Necro: Power necro is perfectly viable and one of the fights a thief has a fair shot against

Thief currently fully counters nothing. Maybe power rangers (non druid)
Things that hard counter thief: Scrapper, DH, Tempest.

So you just said it. Druid can’t go dps, ele can’t go dps, mesmer can go dps 50% of the time, dps necro is viable? (I don’t think so). That seems like thief (and now DH and rev) push these things out of the meta.

It makes 0 sense to try to power creep thief in this way. Thief already shuts down every other dps besides dragon hunter and revenant. Turns out those are the only reasons thief isn’t viable, because dragon hunter and revenants. Sooo maybe we should look to toning things down instead of buffing more things up?

Since Divinity’s Edge got wrecked by Kralkatorik and they had Glint’s help. Seems only logical that we would kill the other elder dragons, feed baby glint, then fight Kralkatorik with baby glint.

It is way easier to farm the ingredients for Fulgurite than it is to farm the EXP needed to have full Maguuma Masteries.

I have successfully done every meta event, done every adventure, played the story 7 times, farmed 250 of each map specific reward (crystalline ore and such), and I have enough map specific currency to purchase my gift of insight. During all of this I used boosters that I had saved up over years of playing, unfortunately I’m still like 25 million experience away from mastering my masteries. So I wanted to ask what is an efficient way to farm maguuma masteries?

I would rather take a cavalier reaper as the tank or dire/sinister reaper that has just slightly higher toughness than everyone else. And then dps everyone else. I had no problem keeping my team alive as a full zerker Druid. + as ranged dps I could get into all the Lightning circles.

I think the regen change was a good quality of life change. I think changing astral force so you can only generate it when you are actually HEALING someone is understandable… What I don’t understand is if this is the case, if Astral Force is going to be gated in this manner, then why do we lose Astral Force when we enter the downed state?
The main reason for this is that the druid, and his/her teammates require full Astral Force in order to enter Celestial form and heal his/her team. When we lose Astral Force on downed AND can’t generate Astral Force when “healing” someone who has full health means that the druid can’t do what it has been designed to do. If a druid is in a team fight, goes down, and gets revived but had 99% Astral Force before going down they now have 0% which means the druid cannot heal him/herself or his/her team. It just doesn’t seem right to me.

So, I was expecting SOME balance to be done today. I wasn’t expect much just some shaves here and there and bug fixes. Mainly bug fixes. That is HIGHLY because of this submitted list.
Tempest:
Rebound revives downed players: The Elite Skill “Rebound” can fully resurrect another Elementalist that’s in downstate. When the downed Ele uses Mist Form with it’s down state skill, you use rebound and when Mist Form ends the player is fully revived. We have not tested this skill with other classes.
Chronomancer:
Continuum Split bugs out: The skill bugs out and does not reset players cool downs after it ends. You have to wait a very long time before it resets your CDs. This often results in the player dying due to the nature of the skill. It’s hard to reproduce but happens enough to make it an issue. Sometimes it happens multiple times in a row.
Well of Eternity (heal skill) heals less than the intended amount: Heal well heals 2590 instead of 3230 with marauder in PvP on the initial pulse.
Tides of Time (shield throw) is deleted when it hits an invulnerable player: This is most commonly a problem when used on players or a group that recently enters down state. The period of invulnerability causes the CC to disappear.
Quickness shortens the duration of Well of Precognition: Quickness causes this well to last shorter than intended.
Weapon swap fail cast: If you swap weapons, and cast an ability that spawns a clone/illusion too fast, it will just go on cd and not work.
Druid/Ranger:
Celestial 4 when interrupted continues to work and is not effected by quickness and slow.
Dragonhunter:
Shield of Courage Virtue [F3 Active] blocks ALL attacks: Shield of courage is only supposed to block projectiles but blocks everything including melee attacks. Also, the radius seems larger than intended on this skill.
Dragonhunter Elite Trap and LB 5 visual is missing: DH Elite trap and LB 5 skill does not have any visual effect on screen. You end up getting stuck in the trap or ring of warding without knowing what’s happening. It’s basically invisible CC/Damage. This even results into players walking into already triggered traps.
Reaper:
Executioner’s strike’s [Death Shroud 5] chill field is unblockable: This wouldn’t be as big of an issue if chill didn’t do such high damage. The chill field is unblockable which is not listed in the tool tip. [This could have been coded similarly to Elementalist’s staff 4, Frozen Ground, which is a unique unblockable chill field]
The Necro signet heal can corrupt boons from infinite range and cannot be dodged.
Scrapper:
Detection Pulse only putting revealed debuff on already stealthed players: Scrapper Tool Belt skill “Detection Pulse” you get while running “Sneak Gyro” only puts revealed debuff on already stealthed enemies. “Revealed” is supposed to make it so they cannot stealth for the given duration if they are caught out of stealth as well. An example of another skill that does this in the game is are “Sic Em” and the “Revenant Reveal” in Legendary Dragon Stance.
General Bug:
Quickness and Slow causes stomps to fail: If you do not have quickness/slow for the entire duration of the stomp it causes the stomp to fail. It seems there might be a bigger issue to this bug.

Rather what I meant was (at least for NA) whether we use the old double elim brackets or the new single elim brackets both scenarios have a very high probability of the same teams making it to the top 4. Granted, I understand and recognize the possibility that one of the “top 4” teams have a higher chance of losing with the single elimination as there will be no second chances.

If you are a solo queue and score 400 points (as a team) against a premade 5 queue then odds are you, as the solo player, will still gain a pip with the new system. So it might work out ok?

There are PvP exclusive skins and PvE exclusive skins. What’s the problem? Besides, you can get chest and headpiece in less than 2 hours of PvE if you really wanted.

You can test it on someone in the guild hall arena if you have built it. Have them put on enough toughness to equal that of the golems and you should be able to get close to or more power/precision/ferocity.
Just test with the same person in PvE and PvP who has roughly the same stats.

There is currently no rule in place for pro leagues about class stacking. A team could use 5 of one profession all on the same build if they wished.

I find that if I have people on my team who can defend the gates whatsoever it is worth more points to just kill the enemy team. I literally play death match in stronghold with occasional mist hero capturing. Of course, if someone is mustering a decent push then I will push. Buuut still gonna kill people on the way.

Having been at the bottom of the totem pole I think what your experiencing is that all your skill at the classes you main isn’t amounting to anything because of balance. It sucks. Fortunately I was able to fill a niche role as a power ranger until balance shifted back in my direction. The only thing I can suggest is to try and lay thief that way. Thief can work, even if you don’t like it maybe you can learn to like it. Sure it can be unforgiving but it’s really the only option you have besides take a break while waiting for balance.

About us:
We are 4 friends In our early 20’s either in or recently graduated from college. We’re pretty smart, pretty mature, often nerdy guys. We’re always down to make fun of each other and have a good laugh.
Our play:
I’m confident three of us are highly competent, like you’d be hard pressed to be better than us at this game. We can fail a fight once and adjust the second time and should be fairly succesful. By the fourth time we will have the fight down. The fourth friend is pretty good and is a competent player. Once the rest of us tell him how to fight it he should be able to handle his own. So we are either looking to join a team where we can possibly schedule some weekly raiding or we are looking for people who are competent, good players, who’d like to raid.
I think our main focus will be to complete the raid quickly and efficiently as they come out. We don’t care what you play, just that you play it well, and we hope you have alternative gear options for whatever the raid might throw at us. After we beat the raid the first time, I am not sure how often we will redo the same raid (if its new expect us there pretty quick). We love doing fresh new challenging content! If the rewards are good we’d probably do some weekly redo of the raids, but once the new raid comes out we would hop over to that ASAP.

This is a learn to play issue. Anyone moderately good would just destroy this build 1 v 1. You are gated behind your AF gen and won’t get it frequently enough to save you. When you stealth you lose the point. When you go into s/d you have 0 pressure. You are too squishy with longbow and a berserker ammy. Then the only role for this build is as a DPS, but you would get slaughtered by any decent thief.
Druid is a tad too strong but I genuinely believe its because Rejuvenating Tides is bugged and heals you even if you get CC’d. Once this is fixed and once people learn to play and realize how easy it is to stunlock a druid in avatar form people will be asking for buffs.
Also: You “extreme condi cleanse” still can’t out cleanse a reaper.

I find this change quite irritating. Sometimes I wish to play on like a berserker build where I don’t always have time to use CA. So I will just hop into CA and out for stealth to avoid incoming damage. Unfortunately the way it is now I can’t be rewarded for my reaction times but am instead punished for my lack of foresight.

I just tested for like 10 minutes and never ONCE did my pet proc the 75% chance on hit to heal for like 800 health from water spirit.
Also, the elite Spirit of Nature, if you use it the skill goes on cool down and counts down from 120. When it gets to about 117/116 seconds left the Spirit’s death animation finishes and the cool down resets back to 120.
Actually this is the case for all the spirits… whaat.
