I’m interested in seeing these questions answered by those who have posted in this thread with a generally negative opinion, but have gone back and retried the map since yesterday’s changes.
In your opinion, are yesterday’s changes to Skyhammer generally positive? Are there other small tweaks like this (aside from removal of solo queue) that you feel would make the map a better experience for players – changes that wouldn’t drastically change the gameplay dynamic and aesthetic of the map?
No there are not.
The only thing that can be done is remove this map and Spirit Watch from SoloQ.
Why cannot we (solo players) have a Solo Arena with the same map Rotation as in team arena? Is it really so difficult to implement? What are the reasons behind it?
So that’s 80€/80$ for each member of the wining team each week, plus 200€/200$ for each member of the wining team at the end of the month.
As I see in the ESL web site there are 5 weekely cups comming this November month.
That’s a total of 600€/600$ for each player of TCG and Abjured at the end of this month.
Average of 520€/520$ for each member of TCG and Abjured each month.

The point is that right now the longer you wait a queue the more different MMR players will have.
And it should be opposite: The longer you wait, the closer MMR of other players to yours should be.
Right now I keep cancelling my queue and re-launching it again every time it exceeds the 3 mins waiting time. Because I know that if I let it go longer (lets say 5 or 10 mins) the players to play in my game will have totally different skill lvl or lets say very dispersed leaderboard position or MMR compared to mine.
It should be totally opposite: I would not mind to wait 10, 15, 20, 30 mins until my queue pops up if that means I will be matched with players around my skill level. I can do plenty of other things in the game during the waiting time.
By the way, that statement someone made that very few People queue alone for Team Arena is a completely false statement. I do it all the time (in order to avoid Skyhammer and Spirit Watch trolling maps). And I can tell you that the 90% of my games are with and against pugs (I am middle leaderboard positioned in Team Arena).
And finally, I just wanted to say that if Leaderboards don’t reflect MMR and if a #3 rank player and a 97% rank player can have similar MMR (or lets say not great difference between them) then this Leaderboard system is COMPLETELY WRONG.

Well, Levin might have a better burst (which is also very situational) but he can’t do what sizer does to hold a point neutral longer time than Levin or to even hold a point on the colour of the team until help arrives:
On Forest of Nifhel, MiM uses portal to come back midd and bursts down Rom with moa, Sizer arrives fast enough to STAY ON POINT until Tage and Rom (ressed up) arrive on point again.
That is for me more valuable than make a high burst at specific moments.
I’m not asking for a permanent ban, as well as I would not ask for the electric chair for that driver.
Just to leave it clear: I would never ask death penalty for anything in the world, even murder. To punish death for murder is the easiest and best solution for that assassin; I would do other kind of things to a murderer.
So I’m not asking to ban permanently all the people who cheat in a game, but to punish them accordingly, that’s a different thing! And also to punish them harder if they repeat cheating!
Somebody said he would be surprised if ANet ban people for using macros.
Well, I just have to say 1 thing: rules in a game are there to be respected, if a player does not follow them, there should be a punishment accordingly to the infringement.
And just to finish…. every player should ask himself these 2 question when doing something in the game which he does not know if it is allowed or not:
· Am I getting a game advantage over the rest who do not use this feature? (e.g.: Use of Macros)
· Am I NOT SURE if what I’m doing goes against the game policy? (is it a grey area?)
If both answers to those questions are YES, then you better not continue doing what you are doing for the good and sportive development of the GAME.

I use this since launch by set Shift(set as 2nd jump)+V(roll) in a single button on my gaming mouse.
1.obvious benefit is now you can dodge over some barricade may be upper terrain.
2.help a lot when you have to jump across gap with aoe on it.

Attatch 2 actions into 1 button goes against the rules of conduct of GW2.
And most of the players who think they are so cool cause they can dodge/jump, use a macro to do it, so they are basically cheating in a game, so they are cheaters.
Can we at the very least get some information on this? Are there times when we can expect to actually be able to play? Do you know what the problem is? Are you working on it? Do you have any idea when it will be solved?

Yes, 80 is highest Rank, and yes you can lvl up when you are at Rank 80, just the same as it happens in PvE when you are at lvl 80.
In PvP each time you lvl up your Rank, you get a Reward chest.
This does not happen anymore if you are affected by this 81 Rank BUG.
And there are so many affected by this….

I wanted to report a Bug.
And it is a PvP Rank Bug.
Yesterday my Rank in PvP levelled up from 80 to 81. This is the Bug
In addition, the Rank progress violet bar on the down part of the screen didn’t reset. So now I am stuck with a full violet bar, without being able to level my Rank up anymore and resulting in NOT GETTING ANY MORE RANK UP REWARDS
Is ANet aware of this Bug?? Can they tell us if it will be solved in a short period of time??

So this seems to be a big Problem that many players are encountering.
Many of us levelled up to Rank 81 due to a BUG and now we cannot get anymore Rank rewards, cause our violet Rank bar doesn’t restart anymore, it is always full violet at Rank 81.
Any solution to this problem??
Could a developer or someone from ArenaNet answer us if it will be solved?

We all have big experience in pvp and rated arenas (solo and team). We discuss map tactics and rotations, always taking into account the different team compositions and openings we can encounter.

Hello all, I play mostly PvP and as many of you know, skyhammer is the map less liked by the community, even if ANet will not remove it from SoloQ.
So as I have been playing SoloQ more often lately and this map seems to appear 70% of the times, I wondered what the troll build is for thief for that map.
I know that troll thief build will not be as troll as engineer or hammer guardian or terror necro, but I main a thief and I would like to be able to adapt to this map when it comes up.
The only thing I know about the thief troll skyhammer build is that Scorpion Wire is required, even if it is a skill which is known to be very buggy and does not work properly many of the times.
I would like to know what weapons, traits, slot skills and runes (so a complete build) are good to be used with this Scorpion Wire.
And if possible any tip on how to proceed with the build. Like combos or how to pull som1 into one of the many crystal holes of the map.
Videos will also be appreciated.

If people want to run something other then meta builds more power to them. Sure it may not be the most optimal build, but who are you to tell them what to use. If it bothers you that much just stick with teamq.
I obviously already go tq with team (And with this second account too..pug ftw), but getting ganked because your mates run usueless specs even going soloq for fun is not…well…fun at all. I also went PU, rifle war, condition guardian, hb gs war, venom share thief and many other crap specs like those, but i went hotjoin, for sure i won’t get into rated stuff (Even if pointless like soloq) being a cripple for the whole team just because i want to play crap things…even if it’s just soloq i’ll do my best for the team (Like rerolling bunker guard even if it’s boring but we have no guard) and i’m just asking from my team the same effort…if i lose it’s ok, but if i lose because ppl don’t care about winning and about the team (So about me and other 3 players) it’s not ok…at all…they are the ones who should leave rated tournaments being the real “toxic” part of this game.

I totally agree with this thinking, and it is sad that only a few share this view, because those who do, are the real PvP competitive players.
I wish more people could think like this, cause that would make sPvP reall fun to play.
I also expect and ask the people who play with me to have the same effort and dedication I have to play proffesionaly. I dont mind losing when my team has played good, but i get really kittened off when some player decides to play YOLO (You Only Live Once, so they dont matter about anything except themselves).
And I assure you all, that I have seen really cool competitive playing in SoloQ. It exists!!
If they changed the crit damage to +Ferocity, it’s probably not a bug, more like an oversight or just an adjustment they wanted to make. Honestly, though 10% crit damage shouldn’t be making or breaking anyone… That’s like… 2% damage difference. If that? (depends on crit chance)
The point is that I am not losing 2% damage only. I am losing 25% of my damage.
I was hitting on light armoured targets ~6000 before patch and now ~4500.
I was hitting on heavy armoured targets ~4500 before patch and now ~3300.
For me this is an issue. And I would like to know whether this is intended or not.

mmmmm so it seems I am not the only one experiencing this issue….
It would be very nice if someone from ArenaNet could clarify this for us, maybe it is intended to be like this, or maybe not and it is a bug.

Hello, I just wanted to ask if the critical damage was also reduced in PvP. I thought they (AreaNet) announced it would be reduced only in PvE and WvW, because they (ArenaNet) consider it was good how it was in PvP.
I main a thief with 10(III)/30(VI,X,XII)/0/0/30(V,VII,XII), dagger/pistol, with berseker amulet and jewel (now the jewel is included in the amulet), Lyssa runes and sigils: accuracy and fire.

After this patch came, I made my pvp build exactly the same as before the patch and went to mess around a bit with the Training Golems in the Mist.
I have exactly the same attributes as before patch. Same power, same defence, same life.
And found out that my critical Backstabs were much lower than before. I did on light armour Golems same amount as before patch I did on heavy armour Golems.
That is, before patch on heavy armour: 4,5k damage; now on light armour: 4,5k damage.
Before patch on light armour I used to do 6-6,5k damage. Of course now on heavy armour I do like 2,5-3k damage.
So my question is: Do Ferocity damage reduction changes also affect in PvP??
Because I don’t find this Information in the patch notes.
