Why would they remove a festival currency from a festival reward track????

Can people still get the currency from the reward track? If no then it’s removed. Whether or not something replaced it doesn’t change that.
The only thing to buy with it of any consequence is furniture tokens and that requires some serious pve. Might aswell turn the baubles into furniture tokens in the reward track.
Or you can do the two achievements and unlock the furniture coins at the vendor.

wvw title track that rewards currency that cannot be used unless I do hours of SAB. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was actually a currency that went into the wallet. Or you know…actual furniture coins instead of a rather useless currency.
It’s a PvE festival reward track. Currency shouldn’t be removed simply because you see no use for it and don’t want to do the two achievements to unlock the furniture coins.
If you like doing SAB hey great for you. But they add a wvw/spvp reward track with currency that I cannot use without doing significant amounts of SAB. How does that even make sense. And yet people like you defend the position like someone is trying to take your toys away.
So I ask, what items are you buying with baubles that you could no longer buy if the reward tracks were switched to granting furniture tokens instead? Are you even doing the reward tracks in the first place?

The problem is that you’re making the mistake of using a data point right before the update that gave the leather farm. You’re essentially cherry picking the low point while completely ignoring exactly why it was low in the first place despite me telling you numerous times. It’s no different than the price of oranges going up because of a supply scare, going back down where nothing happened, and then you using the price difference to argue that orange prices were out of line because they were dropping.
OMG WTF are you even talking about. Leather prices fell because of the announcement of the leather farm area which nobody knew what it was going to be. They speculated it would be good for players and lower prices so they fell. I am taking prices from THE DAY BEFORE THE PATCH WAS ANNOUNCED.
Here’s me: Fact: the patch notes came out on 1/27, I am taking prices from the day before.

You want an apples and oranges argument? Here’s my analogy using what you’re doing. The news comes out on 1/27 that a GMO orange is going to hit the market and yields are going to be huge. People start selling orange futures because they think prices will go down. You say “I haven’t taken any measurements, and I have no proof whatsoever, but people might be eating less oranges maybe”. Orange prices go down but it turns out the GMO orange doesn’t increase yields and causes cancer. Prices for oranges go back up. I am measuring prices from 1/26 when nobody realized the GMO orange existed. You are saying that’s not valid because of your super scientific opinion that “maybe people were like, eating less oranges or something”.
Of course leather prices fell because of the announcement. I’ve stated this numerous times with you not ever mentioning it or addressing it when I brought it up. I don’t know why all of a sudden you’re turning it around as if I knew nothing about it.
You’re cherry picking. You don’t just pick one data point from before, and then another after, to argue that prices are “worse”. You use multiple points over a time period to analyze the trend. Something that I thought someone with years of experience in finance would know to do.

The announcement of the patch occurred well before then and the impact from speculators already had an impact causing prices to be lower. That price point is a poor choice to use as a baseline as to whether prices have gotten worse.
I never made up any player numbers. Please point out where I gave player numbers. All I said was that content releases tend to bring back players temporarily. There’s also increased player activity on those maps which drop the salvageable items that produce various tiered materials. I’ve also said that this impact was minor compared to the speculation.

I take issues with these two points. You obviously don’t know much about roaming or you’d know the catapults are the most useful tool for roaming and taking objectives with small numbers. Especially guild catapults as they can be built with only two.
Also xp boosters give +50% to reward tracks for 2 hours…why the hell would he use those on xp when he can get loot with them? Xp boosters used on xp which is the easiest thing to get in this game are wasted.
I agree tho. I think it sucks that you dc’d from 2 hours of jumping in trib and couldn’t rejoin with the game crashes i’ve been having (i had the game crash after first def of teq, not even a dc which could’ve been my net’s fault, a game crash and couldn’t rejoin the map i was in when i came back) i would be kittened if i jumped for 2 hours and suddenly the game crashed and it was like sorry you’re just assed out of those two hours you put in.
Do you like carrying a pirahna that you have to drop and pick up every five seconds while jumping in the worst section of world 2 zone 2 of sab for longer than four minutes (yes while still dropping and picking up the pirahna up every five seconds the whole four minutes)? Legendary and ascended gear are only 5% better than rare?
I suppose that there is always the option to expand upon all of the seasonal content in the game, but other than SAB, a niche mini game developed by one dev in his free time originally and then expanded upon as a gesture by the dev team to the community, what is not finished about festivals in GW2?
They seem fairly finished to me.
I think he means exotic and not counting the trinkets or backpiece (as in armor and weapons only) ascended and legendary have been said to be about 5% better than exotic only
Re: the person who said something about thiefs spamming unload with quip “just to annoy everybody”. I really don’t think it was just to annoy everybody I think it’s because the purple aura is only active when you’re in combat hence making it necessary to spam combat skill incessantly to see the pretty purple we built the weapon for. A possible fix to this would to make it non combat active. Also my vote is to not change the sounds.
I’mma say I have to agree with you here I’m always praying that the commanders kick the ppl salivating to take our places because I dc a lot and I want to get back into the map when I dc not have some scrub who didn’t participate in the events like I did take my place. I wish the commanders would close lfg after the map is full and kick anyone not in map that would solve some of the problem. It wouldn’t solve people taxiing in private parties but I’m guessing there would be less ppl pressing spam to join on some poor schmuck’s dc. And tbh the map doesn’t need to be full to succeed almost full maps do just fine and partially full maps do just as good as well, so the argument that we have to fill that last spot is null and void. That last person’s dps is like throwing a hotdog down the hallway in the scheme of things in the meta event. It’s just selfish to deprive someone who dc’d of their rightful spot in a map.
Yeah but think about how much you invested in your house only to be kicked/leaving a guild. That would suck.

I didn’t say we shouldn’t be able to upgrade the hall I only offered the opinion that private housing may not be the method in which we get to. I’m sure there are a plethora of buildings anet can come up with in which to add to the guild hall that doesn’t come with people leaving the game because they lost of a ton of cash (ingame or rl) when they invested in a guild house that they lost when a guild leader went on a fit and kicked everyone or some other circumstance. The thing is, no matter how close you think you are with your guild kitten happens and guilds drift apart, they die, and they break. How about building a nice expensive guild house in a guild where the leader gets huffy quits the game and deletes the guild? That wouldn’t hurt. And has never happened at all right?

I have a museum setup in one of my guilds at the top of gilded hallow and besides 3 of goddess statues that literally cost and arm and a leg, we have gold walls that are literally made of my gold, and paintings that cost a small fortune when added up together, caudecus’ statuary which is part fountain, part gold sink, a circle of trees with gold leaves (they’re not so bad individually but who really makes only one tree really?), scribe decors are rough, i don’t think its too much to ask them to lighten up on the leather. And saying don’t make two when there’s six to be made is rude really. So we’re to assume that only big guilds and people with visa or mastercard are to have nice things huh?
I checked my t5-6 leather and I have over 150g worth. That’s from predominately playing wvw, and after I made several armor sets worth of insignia for converting ascended gear, over the past 2 months.
I don’t understand how people are not getting enough leather to do sane amounts of crafting.
That is barely enough for the Dwayna statue I made the other day …

Don’t forget stuff like guild hall upgrades and decorations, so actually fun extras ANet has put into the game for players to enjoy.
Well, unless you discover that e.g. chisels take huge amounts of leather squares to make statues. Just look at a god statue, which needs 30 Orichalcum Chisels. One chisel needs 4 Cured Hardened Leather Squares.
That’s around 120g for just the leather component of this decoration. Considering the rest needed to make e.g. A Balthazar statue, it does perhaps make up another 12g (max.), you can clearly see the leather problem. (Which is mainly with the neglected recipe, not the leather supply in general. But it shows how much Anet’s people are out of the loop with what “leather in general” generates problems)
This is my biggest hardened leather QQ beef these statues have cost me an arm and a leg so far and i’d like to make more but i can’t reasonably justify it.
My main is ranger and has 80% of my playtime but thats also probably coz i did world exploration on 5 other chars xD and two of those other chars were rangers one sylvari and one norn coz i wanted to see medium armor on those races. Plus see my invisible shoes on my norn.
This is one of the reasons I don’t have my card saved to the gemstore. I’m not blaming you for not wanting to pull it out and type it in everytime but these kinds of things happen when info is saved like that.
They used to be the same as exotics then ascended were introduced and anet boosted the legendaries. Coz legendaries are meant to be the best weapons in the game fullstop.
Also boss kill tokens aren’t meant for personal gain, they’re meant to be donated for to guild halls. Find a guild to donate to or throw them away. I don’t like the idea of anet introducing reason’s for people to be selfish with their tokens.
Yeah but reworking map design? Legendary reward tracks? There are people who never leave pvp or wvw so how long do you suggest the reward track be for these people? And if so it would be unattainable for the casual wvw’r or pvp’r. Ridiculous.
It’s ok I’m sure everyone’s wants will be implemented post haste and it doesn’t matter who it kittenes off because the devs have one of these to implement them and one of these to take care of all our complaints.
There’s so much wrong with the serious double list above i’m not even gonna touch it. I don’t know how many gems you buy a month but it must be a lot to think you have the right to make a wishlist like that.
When you sell twilight and sunrise that means you don’t unlock them though so how did you end up with all three skins? When you forge eternity you unlock twilight and sunrise but unlocking eternity doesnt unlock its precursor skins. I sold eternity because I think it’s ugly I ended up with two legendaries (bifrost and incinerator) instead and two great greatsword skins that I apply to ascended weapons.
From what I know if someone blocks you you can’t see their text. There’s often times when i’ve seen people chatting to no one and I can only assume it’s because they’re chatting to someone that’s blocked me. When I first started playing my friend said someone was making an kitten out of himself in mapchat and I said I couldn’t see it and they sent me screenshots and sure enough that chat was missing for me so I don’t think they really blocked you.
I find my glider deploys when i double tap space and not when i hold it down. Which is a bit crap coz sometimes i need to double tap the space bar to get the jump to register, which sometimes makes vistas a nightmare. Shoutout to all my mesmers who save me when I’m at wits end.
I’m doing the HOPE collection and I just got past tier 2 which after farming all of it and not buying anything was a grueling process. I tried the Fungus Among Us mini game and man that kitten is hard. What the heck? I asked most of my friends about the mini games in general and they all said they were probably worse at them than I was, another one said he had given up on completing his mastery in general because they required mini games to complete. Now I know anets solution around the mini games was to add a sweet jesuston of mastery points with each patch but that doesn’t fix that the legendaries still require them and I’m supposed to somehow make it to the end of Fungus within silver timing. Dude that’s gonna ruin me coz I just can’t do it, and it’s not just me none of my friends can either.
Or you can do what raid sellers do and sell it for stacks of ectos. I know it’d be a lot of stacks you’d have to unload but you wouldn’t have to worry about a gold cap on your account. Or part gold part ectos w/e
