Yeah I could use a GS and hit for over 25k with a lucky hit but I don’t think the dmg output is as high as the 1hand sword auto attack spam and offhand axe path of scars. You can also be attacking while your path of scars is on the way back. If you’re luck you’ll get two good crits in with path of scars for 12k+ each hit fully buffed.

If you just wanted to burst him for one hit with more dmg you could also use signet of the hunt for the 50% more dmg. No need to use that though.
I’ve done speed runs with 3warriors/1ranger/1mesmer, and hit for at least 4000+ dmg a hit or so using a 1 hand sword, and completed the dungeon in around 6-7 minutes. I have a video of it somewhere. I think a ranger could do a speed run with the right group setup no problem.

I hit it mostly for 4,000-6,000 dmg a hit and i think my pet got a hit in for 9,000 dmg or so. I’ve seen the pet hit for a lot more dmg as well. You can also open up with your greatsword and do 10,000 – 20,000 dmg with your maul attack once all the buffs and debuffs are active – i wasn’t using a GS for this video though. - I forgot to drink my +dmg potions and food for this video also. So I could be doing at least 20% more dmg with those active.
