If im spec with the general Minions master build, will I get more DPS by keeping my two bone minions alive and fighting or will I get more by just by blowing them up immedietly? IF keeping them alive is better how much time would I need them up before their damage adds up to be more?

I would test this myself, but Im no good at that kind of stuff

Simple as the title. I kinda wanna play around with it for fun. I figure that investing into the blood magic is a good start.
So my question to you guys is, where to go from there.

I’m level a mesmer and I’m looking for a good PvE build.
At the moment I’ve been going S/P with a GS or staff depending on the situation.
I think my traits are the ones for power. Domination I think.
I feel to squishy to use a sword but too weak for ranged.
Gold isn’t a big problem either.
