No, Not at all. It is not all about “me” I’m not the only one in this world that wants some type of personal satisfaction/progression. No one is forcing you to grind this instance for new gear. The people who are satisfied sitting in LA crafting all day can continue to do that while we kill stuff. Keep doing what you’ve been doing if you’re so satisfied with the game “as is”.

I was NOT one of the people complaining they had nothing to do. I had PLENTY of things to do each time I logged in, and still more stuff on my to do list. I didn’t ask for more to keep me busy, and now I feel like I’m going to be forced to do things I didn’t really want to, taking my time away from things I really did.

I get that there’s only a couple of pieces of new gear, which will grow to more over time. So what happens when all of the ascended gear has been released, and I’ve spent all that time getting it? Will they release yet another tier then?

I truly thought this game was different- a game that wouldn’t cave to the masses that can’t handle life outside the Skinner box. I guess I was wrong.

With that logic, and you having so much to do then why do you even care what gear you have and that it might not be “the best”. The way you play, you dont need the best if you’re satisfied with running around the world discovering things, doing DEs OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER in orr to the point your eyes bleed, and crafting which can be done with any gear.

What I’m trying to say is why do you care if more gear comes out if you don’t really care about your gear….

ya but then you’d just be grinding for that “set of gear upgrades” where would you get those so called “upgrades” unless you want them to be free and not have any effort into getting them. Would you like some lobster tail also?

I don’t get it. Before this was even announced the forums were filled with “oh gawd, we’re so bored we have nothing to do”.

Then once they (Anet) gives you a simple task of completing something. The new instance for better gear…which prolly a monkey with downs could complete; we get all mad… makes no sense.

I know I’m not the only one that has been dying for more things to complete. Sorry I don’t find running around the map ‘fun’ I get on video games to kill things, not run around looking at vistas when i could just go outside to look at nature…you know…that ISNT fake.

call me crazy, but I want something to do. not sit in LA twiddling my thumbs because I’ve completed all other dungeons over and over

oh well i just figured since everyone is on a different server it wouldn’t matter

I was wondering if anyone could give me any examples on “playing” the AH? Since i dont have vats of money right now can you play it at a smaller scale and instead of buying thousands of an item, maybe by a couple hundred? and how do you do it exactly? Is there a planning process? (For example….watch the price for ~ a week, find the day when it usually goes low, buy, then resell on projected “high” day?) Thanks.

This thread is to promote the fix of the bug where I [and others] cant even play for like 20 minutes farming Orr with a lot of people (or in WvW) for this annoying noise to start. it Overrides ALL other in game noises (as well as out of game noises i think when minimized) and the only way to stop it is to restart your game completely…going to character select does NOT work.

Annoying for the following reasons:
- Makes you want to blow your brains out
- Annoying when you have to restart your game after waiting in a long WvW queue
- Annoying when trying to farm Orr when there is OBVIOUSLY going to be a lot of people and spells going off

This bug really needs to be fixed ASAP. it really is game breaking whenever it happens i just alt+f4 and get pissed, or i have to switch sound devices in the game options to “not speakers” then play music while i play since I’m obviously not going to sit at my computer in silence.

For real, figure this out… this is actually serious.

edit: Next time it happens again I’m seriously going to record the noise and post it up….its worse than nails on a chalk board….did i forget to mention it NEVER stops if game is not exited?

I believe that the reason there is a one time event “that will change Tyria forever!” is because they’re going to revamp orr, and other parts of the game/new zone(s) that need adjusting (mob density, ect)…because they realized they screwed up sort of (for example different mob hp scales/amount of health)

…Charr…NEED Shuffle dance like other races have.

yeah i dont even think NASA has a computer than can get constant 60 FPS.

i honestly think its the game, your computer is better than mine (and mine still isnt ‘bad’) and i get way lower fps than i thought i should have to the point im kind of mad because every other game in existence runs better than this game.

lol, thanks for the reply im going to seriously record the noise with my mic but i dont think its my computer because i can turn the sound down with my keyboard so i think its a software issue?

Like….SERIOUSLY….and he runs in circles….. i swear i get half nauseous by the time the fight ends…sometimes i dont even fight it since he lives for so long cause i dont wanna constantly swing my screen around and feel sick.

forgot to say, it sort of sounds like a European ambulance…if that helps…. im thinking it may be a sound bug from some classes spell or something im not sure. its only happened when around a large group of people.

so today this has happened twice (and never before in the past) but when im playing my computer will randomly start making this weeewwww weeewwww weeewwww noise (and i can mute the noise if i turn down my computer volume) so its not an external zomg your pc may explode type noise i dont think. but the second time it happened my entire computer froze but people were still talking in the background on team speak so i dont think its heat related (if it was the entire computer would have froze not just guild wars)

my question is: Is this guild wars, or wtf?

because Anet doesnt think (if working as intended) and we need more ways to farm….running around orr isnt fun at all.

was farming in Orr then all of a sudden (even with the game minimized) my computer was just making this “wuuu, wuu, wuuu wuuuu wuuuu” (imagine that phonetically [wa-eww])

then once gw2 was exited it stopped.

im pretty sure its gonna be a bug…if not…. hooray!

if this game is so “demanding” why does it only use 50% of my CPU when i obviously want it to use more so it runs better and i dont have 9 fps in a battle in WvW……

in WvW i get really bad fps (like less than 40) and my computer isnt “bad” i mean its not the best but every other recent game (bf3, ect) works fine…is it not optimized? i remember warhammer had WvW and it worked fine and had no fps problems.

memory: 8gs ddr2
proc: 6 core amd
video card: gtx 570 sce

i know…how did they release a game without this option…like for real.

save endurance to dodge…..and dodge a lot!

and also….“don’t stand in the fire” (aka red circles on the ground…some circles are designed so you have to have endurance to dodge out of them or else you’re automatically hit)

Anet even if it fixes a couple things it shows that you’re doing something…. don’t turn into EA/DICE when BF3 came out….oh god help us if that’s the case.

(though im sure a lot of updates will be in the Halloween patch but why not release incremental ones)

So i dont know if im missing anything…but it seems like all i can really do right now is run Dungeons or go to Orr to make money…which isn’t even that much money in my opinion for all the effort you put in…

whenever im in Orr its just like im aimlessly running around hoping an event happens, then hoping i can tag all the mobs, to hopefully loot ONE or TWO of them, then on top of all that hoping…hoping that they have a rare so then i can once again HOPE to get good mats from it when i salvage it with the master salvage kit…whats the deal… the effort isn’t worth the reward and crappy 378 karma (if i need HALF A MILLION to get a legendary on top of HUNDREDS of gold)

edit: but shhhhhhhh, it may get nerfed so have fun while it lasts…cause it does do a lot of damage (way more damage than i WAS doing)

Hello everyone, since our short bow got kicked in the balls i’d like to share this interesting video i found online because i was looking for a new playstyle (greatsword/axe/war horn)

its really fun, yes its a pvp build technically…but if you’re “good” you wont die in dungeons that much and it just makes playing more fun (imo)

other races get cool dances like t-step/shuffle but charr get a STUPID dance.

So, i have the CoF Head Piece/Shoulders already and im about to get the chest piece…..BUT….when i click to preview the chest piece at the CoF Armor Vendor it makes my Shoulders disappear….now….when i get the chest piece is it going to hide my shoulders that look awesome? because if it is……oh man….imma be mad.

So, i just had a question: What is the point in high lvl runes when the exotic armor you get already has runes equipped on them.

forgot to add, i might as well reroll a kitten warrior cause they’re now better rangers than us.

Thread saying you ruined the only viable weapon we had (boring one also since longbow is garbage), and i’d like to use melee weapons since I’ve been using a bow for 80 levels!!!! and dont fricking make us throw our axes…..are you serious? i dont want throwing axe attacks, just give us normal hitting attacks…thats why im using an axe and not a bow… Jesus Christ.

CoF is bugged on crystal desert…it’d be awesome if you guys fixed it cause that’s all there is to do.

the vast majority of all the gear 1-79 looks exactly the same….once i hit 80, i found out my higher level gear also looked sort of the same….and it doesnt even look cool… i didnt level to 80 to look like some poor pirate with a raincoat on….seriously.

and another problem, when fighting in Orr, rangers do such low AoE damage the mobs are dead by the time you get all of them off and cant even do enough damage to loot them half the time…
