FC, I try to target the HoDs before you guys, if that makes you feel better. Easier targets means faster & more loots. Also they usually outnumber both our servers, so no real choice here. Alsoooo, a Yarr randomly helped me turn around a 1v4 against some HoD thugs, so I owe them some gratitude

Hi wvw ppls. We’ve had lots of fun on HoD BL converting catapult baits into kills. We didn’t really expect to take down an HoD tower, just to get them out of their little forts and handover their loot bags We gathered lots of data from our little venture and apparently the conversion rate of catapults to HoD bag is about 1 cata for 30 HoD lootbags, although most of the lootbags had nasty spikes and other useless junk in them
I’m gonna give you DR ppl defending Overlook keep’s trebs a break. Good fights and congrats to the ppl defending who never gave up, no matter how annoying my longbow harass was. Mark my words, I will be back for those trebs.
But instead of crying cause you gained a bunch or guilds and we lost a bunch of guilds. I wanted to say good job. What ever you did it has worked. And I hope that if you hit a brick wall like we did you don’t see fallout. And maybe you wont with free transfers getting removed.
Honestly? What we “Did” was be very welcoming. XD Can’t really think of anything else…It started by being last place but winning T8, which attracted us attention. Then as we went through each Tier Guilds would join us after we defeated their Server. I think a lot of that was the atmosphere we would often give on the forums…We were very humble and understanding of their strengths and would near always offer compliments. The “Fight Clubs” each week undoubtedly helped attract eyes to us as well. I have very little doubt we have “Fairweather” Players on the Server…But a lot of folks may well be surprised how many “Serious” Guilds have come here and asked questions…they liked what they heard and only then did their Guild come over.
WP is on Kaineng, we are still in the process of getting everyone over. We’re still adjusting and rebuilding the guild’s upgrades, we’ll be starting to reach out to both the original Kaineng guilds and get to know the fellow newcomers as well. I have nothing but respect for Chaster’s SoS, they are one of the main reasons why we’ve voted for Kaineng as our permanent home (SoS is our Xiongdimen n___n). Also we have a close bond with Kaineng, because of our server histories.
I am still on Jade Quarry, which didn’t end up getting the votes, so I’ll be waiting until next Tuesday to be joining the rest of my guild on Kaineng. Guildmembers who’ve been scattered across multiple servers are reuniting on this server. We were a DR guild since the beginning as a small real-life friends-only guild (the guild name was an inside joke).
There was some drama inside the guild that came from outside influences, a lot of our friends from other guilds had already left DR or stopped playing GW2. Many arguments were had over staying or transferring, but since we’ve been reunited on Kaineng we’ve all agreed that we haven’t had this much enthusiasm since the old days of T8. Everyone in the guild is having a great time on Kaineng, both WvW and PVE. We were actually hoping it would be BP in this matchup instead of DR… although I’m hearing a lot of chatter in Teamspeak about a manhunt going on for Sir Morningstar in his native habitat, EB.
Wait wait wait. Is this the same DR that was too good for T8? Too good for all the other servers that they zerged to death up to this tier? The same DR that are “too sexy for their shirt”?
I haven’t been on Maguuma long, but I’ve never seen a “truce” from anyone on this server. They play, and they win or lose for the fun of it. Why can’t you guys that are having a problem with this match from DR just come to the conclusion that you aren’t the GODS you thought you were and that you’ve gone up about as far as you will with your current population and tactical education. Because obviously one guild isn’t the reason you all have won every week with their constant rants of how bad DR really is behind your backs. And, if that one guild was the reason you did win, are they prepared to accept that they could be the reason you are now stuck where you are? Not a troll but a face of reality that if you’re going to accept the title of being the sole reason a server is winning, then you’ll take the responsibility of being the reason the server is losing.
There’s nothing wrong with how far DR got…they did well (even though they didn’t have much to fight against in the tiers below this one, much like Kaineng is seeing now). But now it’s time for the reality check in the situation and just deal with it. YES DR is going to lose this week, but you’re 3 tiers higher than you were 3 weeks ago, so is it really a true “loss”? Why DR puts up with the antics of one said guild is beyond me….they never did before said guild arrived.
PRO doesn’t deserve any of the blame in this week’s loss. They’ve earned my respect and the respect of my guild long before this match up. You’ve left for so long, you don’t know us. Stop talking crap about us. You’ve left to AR months ago and said you had a “surprise” for DR, which I was interested in seeing, but that surprise turned out to be a transfer to Maguma. Good strategy IMO, it sure beat DR real good. I don’t blame you for leaving, it’s the people you enjoy playing with that matters.
When my guild makes mistakes on wvw, we don’t get our feelings hurt because someone called us out on it. We try to get better, we should know what we are doing wrong and work better with other guilds. I’ve enjoyed playing with PRO since they first arrived on DR. My guild has learned a lot about wvw over the 3 months fighting along side PRO and Gasm, Rave, Gank, AD, AoD etc. I can’t imagine DR without these guys.

if you do get that on video you should hire michael bay to add some explosions for you. get some celebrity voice actors, maybe add some epic LoTR soundtrack and edit in some massive zergs in the background. and then end it on a cliffhanger for possible sequels.

your fighting skills are top notch, nothing to criticize there. AD has more entertaining videos with teamfighting and their teamspeak chatter in the vids adds to it. Also they edit their video to be in-sync with their music. they also show when they finally get wiped by the zergs they are fighting. your video lacks transition to the next fights happening. its like one long marathon with techno beats running in the background. it’s not as entertaining, but the player skills on display are excellent.
should of relabled this post as AR and DR vs NSP. I’ve yet to see DR push AR at all really. They wiped them maybe once the whole two weeks we’ve had this match up?
Maybe some of the people who are more familiar with the system can comment on this one. Does DR benefit more by having a bigger point spread versus NSP than against AR since NSP was the green server at one time. I think your rating also depends on past performance of the servers you are facing.
If so, it would make sense for DR to go after NSP more than AR. Correct me if I’m wrong (which I may very well be).
DR should be fighting both servers at the same time, and both servers should be looking up at first place and thinking, “you know, we could probably take that”. I know that NSP is willing to sacrifice its own borderland to Anvil Rock just to hit DR in the face. You guys know it too, I’ve seen plenty of it here on the forums.
But unfortunately what AR are thinking is, “You know, lets just come second”.
And that is the simple truth of it. A leading server this size with this numbers really does need a double team to take it out, and after that double time is over. Whichever server has contributed most to the team has the most end points. Hence it was superior, and the other helping server should sit back and say, “well fought lad. We sure showed those other guys what we can do.”
Its a real shame that this has no crossed Anvil Rocks Commanders minds. As with NSP’s population on the decline they could have probably snapped up first place and us a close second.
Now DR here might say, “Oh no no no, don’t do that. Go on AR, attack NSP borderland again. Go on, we will leave yours alone and just take EB and our own bl meaning we have nearly triple your points. I mean er.. Shush”.
Its just disappointing that there was a lack of communication between AR and NSP. Whether that was due with our initial beating AR and GoM I don’t know. But it is sad.
Last week’s match, just after reset, someone from AR proposed a server alliance with NSP against DR. It was on the first page of last week’s wvw thread. Anyone else remember that or am I making this up?
I like how you keep on insulting people/servers/guilds and then go on to say “oh, but I don’t mean any offense.” I’m going to start using that. I think I might walk up to a girl sometime and say, “Hey, you’re really fat. But I’m not trying to be offensive, just stating my opinion. Fatty.” I think she might take it pretty well.
That’s a horrible analogy. Much better would be “Yes that dress makes your butt look big, but if you change into a different dress like this one it would accentuate everything perfectly!” You’re taking criticism and observation of what you’re lacking as insults, which will only prevent you from improving rather than considering what I’ve said and looking at ways to improve. You’re really only proving my point about NSP having a problem with people who don’t listen.
I get it, I really do, you want to think your Server would be better and win if you had equal numbers to DR, but I disagree. It isn’t that I think you never could, just that as-is NSP is lacking in communication. There are only 2 “Effective” tactics I’ve seen from NSP since I’ve been on here, the smaller groups doing Ninja-moves, taking things before the enemy can respond…and Zerging to the point where you outnumber them ridiculously.

Maybe you’re the one that should go reread your posts. As far as taking criticism from people, I’ll be glad to take criticism from people that have earned some respect. AD, PRO, and Btsy are just a few that I would be glad to take criticism from, as they have proven to run some good small groups, which are similar to our’s.
You on the other hand I have not seen anything from, and from your forum posts I can tell play a much different role in Wv3 than PAXA. So I just take your posts with a grain of salt since your criticism don’t concern me in the slightest. We call players like you burger eaters, since building siege and attacking a keep with a treb from your tower can be done while eating a burger. Don’t get me wrong, you burger eaters are needed with sieging and defending, but it’s just not our style. I won’t tell you how to set up siege and eat your burgers, but you also shouldn’t rag on guilds like Btsy (and from what I can tell after 2 weeks, they have improved in the role they take).
Here’s some positive feedback for NSP and AR:
When I was fighting those same Kain ppl that are offering you “positive criticism” back in the tier 8, I could roam gank fights on Kain BL while wielding twilight in 1 hand and the legendary McRib in the other. Since entering the fights in t6, I’ve had to specially train a monkey butler to hand feed me the McRib sandwich while battling you worthy adversaries.
As much as it pains me to say this…props to you PRO guys this morning. Had some great fights with you (many we didn’t walk away from). Keep it up, was refreshing to fight some really tough opponents!
Also to the big guy with Twilight, you have officially been dubbed captain legendary by my guild….aka the first target we set

Hi, I have a Twilight. Could it be me you are talking about? I “saw” 2 identical looking [paxa] thieves come out of their dust cloud before my screen turns gray. I’ve been out there on NSP bl all night until we finally lost a fortified Hills keep, that’s when I followed PRO into AR.
I’m the max-sized norn spamming the shouts trying to stay alive in a sea of NSP. I “feared” a small group of you NSP dudes off the cliff just outside the hills keep in your BL last night, that was the highlight of my night. I’m enjoying these fights immensely.

We love you too [PRO]! I dunno what you did to get some of us to laugh at your corpse, its in the guild code to only laugh at lvl 80s that pick on low levels, thiefs, D/D eles, and such n such frustrating people(not accusing you of anything).
I don’t care about the corpse laughing and dancing, I’ve grown a thick skin to that kind of stuff. If it makes you happy, please dance the night away as I just teleport back to spawn and run back to the fight. I don’t think I’ve done anything rude to your guild or your server mates, but you can blame me for being “frustrating” to deal with.
This is the first time I’ve heard anyone talk about “picking on the low levels.” If you bring an under 80 character to wvw be prepared to be taken out by lvl 80s. I didn’t think it was an issue, otherwise Anet would’ve made wvw differently, like add lvl restrictions or somethin. Don’t make this “picking on low lvls” an excuse, admit the real reason you enjoy celebrating my death – pixel envy.

I’m in HoD just so you know, I was just informing you that you can only win in big groups, that’s why you guys have so much. 2 groups of DR in our BL that consist of about 50 people each is kinda hard to do anything against. Just wait until you play the higher up servers we have. They are going to destroy your zergs because they not only have more people but know how to play. Look what’s happening to GoM. They had just as many people as you.
That’s cool you are from HoD. Your posts are similar to the excuses from a few ppl in our previous matchup in t8 for the last 8 weeks. I see many people in DR with individual skills, you may not see them through your perspective, but they are there and they are many. Usually they are the ones doing the right thing in WvW, the reason why we broke away from t8 starting from weeks back.
Our “skill” is in our leaders (with and w/out icons), the ones who make our zergs sentient. Great, positive leadership in wvw is what attracts more people into wvw. 1v1’s are for fun and is the personal side of wvw, but that’s all it is for. I met a great duelist from SF, we dueled for hours and I brought my friends to also 1v1 him. We made good friends cross-server, and in the end this is what 1v1 is all about. It shouldn’t be about ego stroking.
Anyway, that’s my view on wvw. As for meeting another server that will crush our momentum, eh nothing lasts forever, you just gotta accept it. You guys who are what’s left of HoD/SF should know this by personal experience.
You kainengs want to come in here and change the thread topic into a server bashing, chest thumping thread. We’re trying to move on from the previous match up, you want to come here and bring us back into that crap. 8 weeks of it is enough, let’s move on.

Went to EB to have fun with my guildies. Thought I had a 1v1 with an Envy thief, turns out ferg zerg was around the corner. I don’t mind the quick death, but this Charr Ranger from TTA, good job killing me in a 10v1, and then celebrating with a good old teabag. That kitten belongs in Halo. TTA, I never heard of you guys, this is a great impression of your guild you are giving me with your ranger in this pic. Thanks.
On behalf of myself and my guildies who were there, I thank NP and Envy for the 1v1 fights. We’d like to do some more before our server leaves this tier, there’s no people better than you guys to learn how to 1v1. Everyone on my end said they enjoyed the fights and are amazed at your skill. Again, thanks for taking time away from defending, you’ve shown us a lot of class tonight.

Hi, we’re gonna take ferg BL. Maybe not tonight, but soon. James needs a few vistas there for map completion for his legendary. We’ve also made renovation plans on Askalion Hills. Once we have control over Hills we shall begin construction on a “death-star” provided we escort a few yaks through the gate.
In order for our plans to come to fruition, however, we must fill the queues to max. There must be enough devonites on the map so that our countless dead may serve as a footramp over the mighty fortified bastions of Fergtropolis (and another fleshy footramp for the inner walls, too.) Only then shall we achieve map complet… er I mean wvw victory.
My inspiration for this grand nefarious scheme comes from a conversation I had today with a stubborn asuran mesmer from Envy. You said something like, “You will have map completion over my dead body!” No, my friend… it will be over OUR dead bodies… Fear my tactical genius!
had some fun with SoS this morning. killed maybe 20 down by SM southeast inner gate. thought they left the map so i decided to take some camps to retake the north. last thing i heard before the SoS legions steamrolled me was a message from Itsaraofgod: “They’re coming for you!”

It’s got nothing to do with kains or fergies, just got a little fed up when one of our commanders last night who decided to take half the zerg on a karma/exp train for 2 hours, which put the other half in a quagmire situation. Anyway, your choice, but we came to wvw to actually fight people, not npcs.
So, in return for your PvE escapades, Mr. “Night-time commander only” we are going to focus on fractals/dungeons/building another twilight. Yes, we are going to have 2 of them n__n

You are skilled, and you make this game fun, but how about giving us some credit? Everything our server does has to have some negative response to it. It’s gotten so bitter that Ferguson is becoming the new Kaineng.

Join Ferguson’s Crossing. They have an awesome server with a great wvw attitude.
Anvil Rock is another great choice, I’ve fought them while roaming on Gates of Madness and they are one tough bunch, and always good sports.
I recently accepted a guild member who transferred out of Kaineng server. A really nice guy, he transferred out of Kaineng because there was so much hatred in their chats towards the other servers, it wasn’t about having fun in wvw. I’m sure Kaineng has some nice folks, too. Anyway, join Kaineng and see for yourself while the transfers are still free.
