Sea of Sorrows
I’m thinking of it mostly for dungeons in which once you engage in combat, you’re stuck unless you die. I want to be able to quickly switch weapons between fights without having to dig through my bags and make my group wait, or else have to catch up because they left me behind. If they only implemented it for dungeons, I’d be satisfied. I don’t need it anywhere else.

Yes! Ironically, I just made a post about this a little while ago. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks so!

Ok, I completely understand why elementalists (and engineers, I’m sure) don’t get weapon swapping. We have essentially four weapon swaps with our attunements. However, I feel a little shortchanged in the deal. Every other class has space to keep another weapon set on them instead of in their bags. I don’t want to be able to swap in combat; that would be rediculously overpowered (40 weapon skills at my disposal at all times?). However, I would like to be able to “equip” a second weapon set that I could switch to when out of combat so I don’t have to use bag space to store weapons I use regularly and so I don’t have to go searching through my bag to find my weapons when I need to switch.

If she’s not coming back can she please be silenced? I’d like to sit in Lion’s Arch without listening to her every three minutes. She can be heard halfway across the city and can really start to drive a person crazy after a while.

The lag for me has been really horrible since Wintersday started too. Until now, I have not had a problem with lag (except when my internet freaks out) since the first day of release. I’ve even been disconnecting and I only disconnect maybe once a month.

I personally loved the wintersday jumping puzzle. I saw many improvments from Mad King’s Tower.
1. Seperate starting points—genius idea! That really helped with the congestion.
2. A lower difficulty level. I know that many were disappointed with it, however many more were really pleased with it and I think something like that should be accessible to everyone. However, I think there’s still room for improvement. As many have suggested, an additional difficulty level or two might possibly make everyone happy.
3. Adding the ability to watch other players still going and snowballs to the waiting room was a great improvement.
4. I appreciated the lack of bad poetry and discouraging comments. /wink
5. This doesn’t really have anything to do with the puzzle itself, but I really enjoyed the scenery. It was beautifully done! I love the Christmas/wintery atmosphere. Anet’s done an amazing job bringing out the joy, wonder, and beauty of the holiday season in my opinion.
I do have a couple complaints though. First, there were several incidents in the jumping puzzle when I knew I was completely safe but was kicked back to the waiting room for seemingly no reason. As a result, completion of the puzzle took much longer than it should have for me. I’m assuming this is a bug of some kind because I was not experiencing lag. (Believe me, I know lag when I see it)
Second, the waiting time is still frustrating. Especially when I get kicked out before even starting the puzzle. Perhaps lowering the number of players to a server and creating more overflow servers would solve the wait time because it is based on how quickly players get through the puzzle. As soon as the last person falls or makes it, the puzzle resets and everyone gets to go again.

It may just be the pink is bugged. Mine are blue and show up just fine in the daytime.

Alright, Thanks guys. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon then.

So I was trying out this build last night, which, I realize was made back in September so things may have changed. However, as I was testing it I found that the fire aura created through the combination of Ring of Fire and Magnetic Grasp doesn’t give Fury and Swiftness like the other auras that are actually part of your skill set do. Is this a bug or did they change that?

Same is true here. Even the “Having trouble seeing this email? Click Here” link is broken. By the way, thank-you ioki for linking the survey!
This was also true for the invite a friend email and many other emails in the past. The first Halloween event email though worked. Hope arenanet can get it working properly; would be very nice and much more convenient.

I agree that it is definitely disheartening to see an empty map after working so hard to complete it. I agree that waypoints, vistas, and POIs should be completed across the account. However, hearts need to be reset or else we’re going to have to grind killing random creatures and events to level.
In addition, skill challenges should not be account bound because that limits the number of skill points you have. Your alt currently has the opportunity to gather his/her own skill points to spend as he/she sees fit. If you take that away and make them account bound the only way to gather skill points is by leveling and you have to share all the skills points across all your characters. Meaning that for 5 or however many characters you make, you only have the skill points you gathered the first time through the maps on your main.
I see why they may not want to make everything account bound though because then you haven’t really earned the completion boxes the same as everyone else. They might feel then that the rewards should be lowered for alts. However, I still think waypoints would be a good thing to hang onto so that we can easily get to the map we want to level in. At the very least, the opening waypoints when you first walk onto the map.

I can’t really speak fairly to the dungeons as I haven’t done many of them. However, as to the clocktower… I honestly would like to see something like that again. Yes. It took me 15hours to complete it. (total, not straight) However, the challenge was amazing. And yes, I wanted to give up and call it quits after the first several hours. But I didn’t and when I finally completed it, it was amazing. That feeling is the purpose of hard content. If you want to make an easier or ‘training’ version, I wouldn’t be against that. For example, they could have allowed you to climb the clocktower we sat and stared at while waiting just to get a feel for the climb before charging into the timed version. However, do not avoid making hard content because some people don’t want to put forth the effort to get it. If they really want it bad enough, they will put in the time and effort to get it. And they will be rewarded with that amazing feeling in the end.
Just as a side note, those were 15hours I would have spent ingame anyway. So what if I spent them climbing a clocktower while trying to outrun the nasty green fog that was ever on my tail?

oo, I didn’t know that. Thanks! Although, I think it would be nicer by itself without all the other information.
Oh, I didn’t know it told you what you got. Usually autoloot just crams the stuff in your bags and you have to sort it out later.
No, it’s not a small thing as in a small priority or unimportant. It is, however, a small thing to fix programming wise.

Oh, could we also get emotes that interact with your target? eg. While targetting Bob, I type /threaten and the emote line reads, “Kasaeva threatens Bob.” Instead of “Kasaeva is threatening.” But still retain the original line when not targetting anyone.
Also, a few more emote ideas…
/poke
/pat (or console or comfort…something to use on those poor souls who can do nothing but cry after falling off the Mad King’s Clocktower 500+ times)
/tickle (always fun)
/smack (for those incorrigible pranksters)

Sea of Sorrows
I don’t want to seem nit-picky at all but there are several small things that could be improved that would make a huge difference in the game. Sometimes, it really is the small things that make all the difference. I’m sure others have mentioned them so forgive me if I’m redundant; I only want to be sure they have been mentioned.
First: Guildie/Friend Log-in Alerts
Yes, I understand not everyone would appreciate this so perhaps an option should be made to turn it off but I for one would very much like to know when my friends are online and when they go offline. This is to avoid those: “Oh hey!” “…I’ve been here for hours.” “Oh…” In addition, it would be great to see a little message saying my friend went offline so I don’t have to wonder what happened to him when he disconnects.
Second: Automatic Away Marking
We have an option to mark ourselves ‘away’ but most of us never think to activate it. It would be really awesome to have it automatically kick in after a set period of inactivity. That way, people know you’re away and don’t think you simply can’t be bothered to answer them.
Third: Take All Option on Nodes
With a second tap of the ‘F’ key I can easily collect all the loot from any mob or chest so why can’t I do that with a tree, plant, or ore deposit? It makes gathering slightly tedious.
Fourth: Waypoint Fee Reduction
I know this is probably a sore subject, however, I feel that this is a serious impediment to fun, which is Anet’s main stated goal. Gold is already a bit scarce and yes, I’ve read the arguements. However, I’m not really interested in purchasing gold and I find it tedious and unfruitful to play the market. That being said, 1.5 silver even when I’m practically sitting on the waypoint serves to discourage me from really going anywhere. There are tons of absolutely beautiful places in the game but I have no desire to put out the money to go see them. If for some reason the developers feel that there truly is something to be gained, perhaps a post explaining their position on this is in order.
Okay, that’s all I had. Thanks!
