Sweet, and does the match making take the average of the group or is it based on the highest ranking person in the group? We have a couple people who have been playing lots of tourneys and probably have higher ranks than the newer people like myself.

To follow up on this, are these internal rankings based on tournament wins or does it also include hot joins in public games?

Ah, thanks. I guess that explains why after a 3 game win streak, we struggle the next 5 ><

I’m fairly new to the PvP scene in this game (just graduated from the Rabbit Academy) and a group of people from my guild have decided to put together a PvP team to play with regularly. We’re currently only doing tournaments and wondering how the pairs are matched up? Our team consists of lower level ranks and often times we get matched up against teams with 30, 40 ,50+ ranks and we get steamrolled. It doesn’t help us get practice at all, and if anything is highly discouraging sometimes. Anyone know how this works or if it’s something that Anet is trying to balance more?

Hey all!

I’m looking for a tight-knit guild to do various things with (mainly dungeons and WvW). My current guild has moved to another game and are done with GW2, but I’m not quite ready to let it go yet. I don’t want to be in a guild that prides itself on 100+ members who don’t know each other and constantly have people leaving and joining. Also, I’m looking for a guild that doesn’t have strict rules on when to play (I’m a college student who works and has GF aggro at times). Basically a relaxed atmosphere with a smaller group (30-40ish members?) who all know each other and get along well, who are focused more on the quality of members rather than quantity. Currently, I’m on Maguuma server but I’ll gladly guest to another and if the fit is right, transfer over.

I don’t get how MF is useless? I find the majority of rare/exotics from farming mobs/events in Orr.
