I recently made a new character (11th one) and after seeing that I need to get a 100% map completion at a given map to get the trait that I want… I just went straight to the trader.
Also I don’t like how late new characters get their traits. They feel a bit underpowered in the new system.
I just had the same bug thas was described and archived here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/archive/story/BUG-The-Battle-of-Fort-Trinity/first
I did the previous mission in multiplayer with another character and then we tried to do Battle for Fort Trinity together as well. I was launching all previous missions, so I launched this one as well and we couldn’t go past “Report to Traherarne….” point right at the beginning. Everything was as described in the linked thread – Trahearne’s dialogue with 2 NPCs ended, the star above his head disappeared and nothing happened.
After 2 attempts at this I figured out the other player should launch the mission and when we did this, we were able to finally proceed.
Since there were questions about this in the other thread: when talking with the Pale Tree we both chose the same fear – option number 1 – the fear of injuring someone close (we were playing in multiplayer as well and I chose the option).
Same here, 2 days in a row killing all 3 wurms and I didn’ get the golden chest.
I was in the party killing the Crimson wurm.
This is the best review of the LS so far. I agree with all of the points listed. Hopefully someone form Anet will read this and take it into consideration.
I would just add 1 more point: there should be more content like in the Bazaar of the Four Winds.
I always thought that Edge of the Mists is made for more casual WvW players. The map itself is awesome, but having to run 5 minutes to get anywhere kind of contradicts that casuality for me. Let’s be honest – there’s nothing cool in running through the whole map after dying.
Description:
During our run today, all 3 wurms were killed in the overflow, but ‘event failed’ was displayed. After that Legendary Crimson Wurm’s head spawned, though (without event or timer present in the UI), and we’ve killed it. Wurm dropped a champion loot bag and I got golden wurm chest, but killing him didn’t count to the ‘Wurmslayer’ achievement progress.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start the event.
2. Kill Crimson and Amber wurms.
3. Wait with killing Cobalt until the last moment.
4. There’s a chance that even though all 3 wurms are dead, event will be failed. Cut off wurm’s head may still spawn though without the event and timer marked in the UI. Killing it won’t count towards the Wurmslayer achievement progress.
5. Triple Trouble section in the UI will be blank.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Join a party with 2 or 3 people that currently have an active personal story mission A Grisly Shipment.
2. Complete the mission.
3. Notice that only the person who started the mission will get the progress.
DESCRIPTION:
When you complete A Grisly Shipment mission in a party of 2 or 3 people, only the person who started the story will receive the reward and will be able to progress further into the story. The rest will be stuck on the Grisly Shipment and will have to do it again.
Usually the rest of the party receives the prompt if they want to accept the progress. We were doing previous missions together this way and all of them were working fine:
Temple of the Forgotten God —> Through the Looking Glass --> What the Eye Beholds —> Starving the Beast
Unfortunately that was not the case for Grisly Shipment. We completed this mission 3 times and the prompt with the progress didn’t appear for remaining players.
Please note that this mission is a part of Savior of Tyria storyline which is the same for all 3 factions.
Repro rate: 2/2

This is amazing! If it looked like this, it would actually make sense to merge 2 legendaries together.
Same issue, EU server Aurora Glade.
Path:
1. Boot the title.
2. Launch EU server (Aurora Glade)
3. Go to Gendarran Fields
4. Go to Quaggankeep Channel POI
5. Notice that the baloon event is impossible to finish
Description:
On European servers, baloon event “Drive off Aetherblade pirates” in Gendarran Fields (Quaggankeep Channel POI) is bugged. It cannot be finished – the progress stops at around 20% and there are no new mobs present. I’ve tried to guest on 2 different servers, but found the same event bugged in the same place on both of them.
This makes it impossible to reach the chest at the top of the baloon tower.
Well that may not be the best solution to the problem, but thanks for your answer Paul. The race is itself is amazing, so I’m going to endure.
When I join a Sanctum Sprint the game almost always connects me to a race that is in progress and I have no chances of running up to the competitors.
Also 3 times in a row I started the race right in front of the finish line, got to it and got no chest reward.
This is not a bug – this achievement is available everyday. That’s why if you have it checked in the achievements for tracking, the check will still be marked on the next day.
You can always un-check it and do other dailies, you are never forced to do daily gatherer.
Issue occurs for me as well.
Each time I activate holo dragons in Shiverpeaks and Aetherblades spawn, Veteran Aetherblade Taskmaster is invulnerable and disappears after few seconds without a fight, making it impossible to kill him.
This slows the achievement farming process :P.
Happened to me few times yesterday. Luckily, if you go back to the jumping puzzle, golem remembers your progress, but still it’s troublesome having to go back all the way to the JP again.
AoE loot doesn’t work for me.
1. I have AoE loot on interact set to on.
2. I kill 4 Aetherblades or different mobs in a lesser than 900 radius (their bodies are stockpiled actually).
3. No other interact option is present (gather, talk etc.).
4. I press F interact button to use “Search” and gather loot from the body of just 1 mob.
5. I only get the loot from this 1 mob, I have to use F on all other ones manually.
EDIT: Whaaat? AoE loot doesn’t work if I have search option present? It’s for looting so it’s only natural it SHOULD AOE LOOT. What’s the point of having this option if it doesn’t work this way? And yes, I know I can bind it to a different key, but I don’t want to, that’s not how it should work.

What dungeons are really missing is the actual incentive to play them. There are no unique drops from dungeon bosses specific only to them, like for example Voltaic Spear or Frog Scepter in GW1. These gave players a huge motivation to farm and play the dungeons again.
We’ve seen some of that unique rewards with LS dungeons, hopefully the original ones will be redesigned in the same way.
1. Boot the title.
2. Open World Map
3. Highlight Divinity’s Reach name on the map
4. Notice lack of the tooltip with completion info
The tooltip showing the number of competed hearts, POIs, WPs etc. when highlighting Divinity’s Reach has vanished from my world map. Other areas work fine.

I had the same – I placed my bet on the Mystery Moa, scored first, got 7 vouchers but no achievement update.
Betting on Motti and winning updated the achievement correctly. Only Mystery Moa seems to be involved.
There’s a lot of cash involved in the moa racing, this should be retroactively updated or racings should be turned off for the time being.

Happens all the time on [EU]Aurora Glade, crab toss is really hard to play because of the lags.
Same issue here on server [EU] Aurora Glade. Tracked on the screenshot are the daily achi and the one from the Southsun tab. Only 1 updated after winning.
I also didn’t get the Crabtacular! achievement :/.
I definitely miss ritualist. I think in GW2 this class would have a great potential. Summoning spirits + buffing the team with spirit weapons – that would be great. Maybe if they bring Cantha back one day?
You know they’re going to be labeled Kormir 3.0/Trahearne 1.5/Rurik X.5, right?
Come on, I think they read forums long enough to know not to ever design characters like Trahearne again (fingers crossed).
I started my whole adventure with GW1 because of Factions. I still think it had the best story when compared to Prophecies and Nightfall with Shiro as the antagonist.
The difference between world settings in all GW1 campaigns was the franchise’s strong point. I’d hate to see that much lore, plots, stories, legends, memorable characters and places go to waste because of someone’s marketing decision.
Actually it should be a marketing decision to introduce Cantha again to acquire the Asian markets and bring more players into the fold.
IMHO Cantha has to come back one day (hopefully as a big expansion) with Tengu as the playable race and ritualist as a “new” class (everyone’s got the right to dream. Maybe we need to write some kind of a petition or create a Facebook support group?
How exactly am I punished? Economically. Everyone who completes the dailies gets some silvers + mystic coin + a Jar of karma accompanied by some experience.
I have no problem with the fact that players are being rewarded for playing in a certain way but I do have a problem when that reward directly punish people who don’t.
You could generally say the same about people who complete dungeons. They get tokens and it’s unfair for people who don’t play dungeons, cause they don’t get gold, items, xp and karma.
Anyway, take a look at any RPG game – the rules are simple: you complete quest A, you get reward B. It’s a sidequest, so you can still progress without completing it.
A game has to offer something to all kinds of audience. Some people just come in to play for a short time, but others devote their time to farming, grinding and the game has to have something to offer to all of them. Daily quests are a perfect solution IMHO, they don’t offer too good rewards nor they are hard to complete.
btw if you think gear treadmill is progression… then lol. Enjoy progressing on that next tier… and the next…. such progression amirite
Adding one tier of ascended items (with stats not much better than exotics) is hardly a treadmill – the difference is negligible. People who need a goal in the game have it and people who don’t have time to get those items are not put in a situation where they can’t play with others because of gear score/item level barrier. Win/win situation.
The whole idea of a Living Story with new events, plot and achievements is just great. I think all above complaints (note, I agree with all of them) actually come from the fact that what’s available in the game is currently a teaser and not the full content everyone’s been expecting. This is more of a communication than design issue. I don’t like it how all the refugees are vague about what’s happening, but if they told us 2 months ahead what’s coming to town, it would be a major spoiler. I’m not surprised there is no prize for the current events and I really hope there will be something fun available once the full event goes live.
I’m currently waiting for Braham and Rox to show up, hopefully they will be memorable characters who will bring something interesting into the world of Tyria.
What I really like about the Living Story idea is that it lasts longer than just one day. I had tons of fun with the 1-time karka event in Southsun Cove. When I think that some ppl weren’t able to take part in it, it’s sad. Although I’m still not against 1-time events like that (they are really great to take part in), it’s fun if the content can be experienced for a longer time by more people.
Ascalonian Catacombs
Today I joined a party and entered the dungeon by walking to the entry point and accepting the prompt (other person was the “host”).
We were playing the 5 of us, then at one point 1 player went offline before the ranger boss. We kicked him out and I went in front of the dungeon to recruit someone new. from Plains of Ashford. In the end I invited my guildie and when we were trying to go back to the dungeon, we were moved to a different instance together. We were trying to leave the party and join again, but it didn’t help. We had to start everything from the beginning.
PATH:
1.Boot the title
2.Finish monthly achievements in September
3.Open hero panel
4.Proceed to monthly achievements
5.Notice the overlap
DESC.:
As can be seen on the screenshot, progress bar overlaps the string “16 of 16 Complete” in the Monthly Achievements section of the Hero panel.
Still bugged on Aurora Glade [EU].
