Wouldn’t it just be simpler to make the RvR stuff (ie keep upgrades and siege weapons) that costs currency simply cost influence. That way there is simply no need for an additional ‘tax’ for things that guilds will do.
It may mean the rate at which influence is gained will need a little tweaking, but doesnt realy require additional code for handling the coin based taxation.
Keep in mind that all stat benefits (basically everything but runes/rune like effects) from gear are also reduced at the stat totals (not the gear itself), by what seems to be a percentage based on the area level and character level differences.
The major issue realy is if you have not found/made/gotten gear appropiate for your actual level. For example, if your character is level 15+ and their gear is only level 7.
While a minor issue is if you can’t do something there realy is no option to level up some and then do it (a handful of levels wont make all that much the difference).
Those issues however dont realy out weigh the benefits (as mentioned by others) of the system. Sure it could likely do with some tweaking in some cases, but overall its the better option.
I can concur that in the game proper (not the mists), that Zephyr’s Speed (first air trait) and Glyph of Air do not stack. While One with Air will typically get reset from a swiftness boost, and doesnt appear to stack with the others either.
I am getting something similare to this though I’m running a single HD 7970 OC, on an i5-3570K.
The difference for me though is I have what looks like a single blank frame flick through occasionally that seems to be either white or pale blue (could be some other light colour though as it is only on screen momentarily).
Initially I thought it could be some particle effect being very close to the camera’s oragin, though it has occasioanly happened in areas without any particles that I noticed.
Also a friend has an identical rig to me and doesn’t seem to be getting the issue. It’s quite baffling, given Im only playing GW2 currently not sure if it happens in other games too (it doesnt happen when using other apps though).
I’m not sure if it is releated but I also get slowdowns with heavy fog/particles (like the ghost fog in Ascalon).
Edit: I found the issue. Seems my video card’s fans werent spinning. I’m kinda supprised it didn’t crash the system.
I discovered it on further inspection after using it a while trying to reseat the hardware, and noticed that the video card was very hot to the touch.
