I’m trying to level up my character quickly by playing WvW.

The lvling speed in EotM depends on how good your zerg is and how much you cap. If your zerg gets defeated often, it’s not optimal. If your commander wants to kill people, again, it’s not optimal because a low lvl player won’t get many kills, you need to cap stuff. The trick is to go when a match starts (every 4 hours), my server is pretty active and I get about 3-4 Tomes / hour from rankup, without boosters(!), not counting extra Tomes from reward tracks and Keep daily. Still, that’s like 4 levels / hour which is pretty good because PvE leveling slows down after lvl20-ish, there is no way I could do 4 lvls / hour in PvE after 20 but congrats if you can… x) If you have boosters with WvW rank gain, you can get Tomes even faster (+100% with celebration booster).

Also, if you EotM on a low level character, grab some gear with defensive stats, it will scale up. It doesn’t matter if you don’t get credit for champ kills, the main exp comes from capping. Stay alive, stay with the group and don’t rush into enemy zergs.

It’s called buttcape. We don’t want more butt capes. :P I want more Light PANTS instead of silly puffy skirts that have clipping issues in every possible way.

I agree. I have small hands, pressing 1-5 and buttons around them is okay but everything else is too far away for me, it’s more comfortable to click utilities and elite.

That’s an issue with several hairstyles on every race, not only Asura. I’ve reported dozens of clipping issues in the past years, they never got fixed, don’t hold your breath.

Max gliding asap. After that, get whatever you need for story and meta events / map completion (like Itzel Poison).

I couldn’t tell why boots look like poop on my main, then I suddenly realized a part of the female Sylvari’s feet clip into the ground. I teleported around and this is an issue on most maps. I checked other players in Royal Terrace, Norn and Human feet look normal. The picture below is at double size for better visibility. Please fix this!

I know, right? XD Even worse: I got dced during the Mordremoth personal story boss fight, I was in a party but I couldn’t go back to them. I logged back in and the whole instance restarted but only for me! The other members were killing Mordy and I couldn’t go back to them! LOL? I had to do the whole thing again with a different group… Anet should really do something about their story instances.

I don’t think they will add animations, the electromagnetic ascender doesn’t have them either and it was released years ago (and people complained too).

I appreciate the Necro and Engi changes, thank you. Could we please have some AoE damage (maybe Poison) on Engi offhand Pistol #5 skill (Glue Shot)? It’s really boring in PvE, especially for such a long cooldown. Edit: Oh and maybe make Necro Focus #5 (Spinal Shivers) better in PvE??? 99% of the mobs have no boons!

You would need to buff #5 to make it worth it as a condi option though. Add AoE torment or something maybe.

As a power Necro, I am happy with the changes, especially the Grasping Darkness cooldown reduction, it’s now 20 sec with trait.

Both my Necro and Engi builds got buffed. I am happy!

In PvE: Necro’s Focus skill Spinal Shivers because 99% of the mobs don’t have boons.

Why do you play the class you do? Why do you like it? Do you usually play similar classes in most MMOs or no?

My main is a Knight-Cavalier Necromancer. I like Necro because it has Shroud instead of active defenses (like blocks) and I find it more comfortable to play because I’m ridiculously bad at timing blocks and dodges, lol. Thanks to my defensive gear and unique build, my Necro is invincible. In MMORPGs I always pick characters with the best survivability (tanks and healers) because I hate being defeated. Necro is perfect for me!

My second main is a Celestial Engineer because it’s versatile, fun to play and has great survivability as well. I never follow the meta in MMOs, I want to play what I enjoy, not what other people enjoy.

Sooo, I just checked the cost of maxing Leatherworking (400-500) on gw2crafts, it’s still 73 Gold vs 28 Gold Armorer and 37 Gold Tailor. I’ve been keeping an eye on this and leather prices are still high.

Means, if a Warrior Player puts Attribute Points into his Vitality, the Effect of his Vitality Value should be by the factor of 2,25 more effectful, than the Mesmer’s one of just only 1,75.

No thanks, that’s unfair. If Vitality were less valuable on some professions it would be a waste of points for them. Most people already avoid defesive stats, this would make the dps meta even more popular.

Nope. The only race I ever play is Sylvari and I understand the story perfectly fine. I don’t care much about other races.

First I didn’t like HoT because it felt lackluster for an expansion but then they improved stuff and now I like it. I love the living world and the new stuff. After all these years, GW2 is still my main MMO. c:

Tbh, GW2 is the first MMO in which I actually pay attention to the story, lol. I like it!

The great thing about the game is that players can complete most content in whatever gear that they want. If they feel more comfortable in defensive gear then they can feel free to use it. They just have to be mindful in groups where players could prefer, or require, offensive gear.

Exactly. I’ll stick with my defensive stuff as long as mobs die fast enough for my liking and I don’t do hardcore group content anyway (raids, high lvl fractals). The good thing about open world events is the freedom. I do what I want and no one yells at me for not being meta, lol.

No. Go to Dragon’s Stand, the amount of people who get downed in one hit is too kitten high. Squishy people die and do nothing useful, they wait for revive and scale events up. People laugh at me for wearing Knight-Cavalier gear on my Necro but in the end, I deal more damage than dead people. Thanks to my unique invincible Necro build, I literally don’t even get downed in PvE. We would actually finish meta events faster if people stopped dying.

They get down because they don’t pay attention. One of the primary reasons being the snipers’ line attack thing that people just stand in. Defensive gear isn’t going to help that.

Depends on the person. I could pay aaallll the attention in full dps gear, I would still die simply because I am horrible at timing blocks and stuff like that. Not everyone has super fast reflexes. That’s where defensive gear helps and it helps a lot according to my experiences. I use defensive gear on all of my characters because I know I suck. Unfortunately, many other people who suck still go with dps gear because… meta.

To me, the fight wasn’t difficult, it was simply frustrating. I didn’t die but didn’t enjoy it at all. I haven’t tried it after the changes yet but thank you for listening!

I really enjoyed the story except for the last boss fight which was frustrating: too much cc, too little space, etc. I like the new map aesthetic and exploring-wise, I haven’t tried many events yet but the ones I ran into were fun. The Hearts should “fill up” faster. I’m happy with this episode but some improvements here and there would be appreciated. (Sorry for my bad English).

My problem was that I didn’t have time to deal damage, I had to run in circles to avoid getting CC’d to death, there were so many things going on, the only thing I could spam was my auto attack, heal, dodge and that annoying “special action” skill (you have like one second to react)! Bring lots of stability, stun breaks and Aspirin.

I think Anet should give us an OPTION at the character creation to enable / disable idle animations or even choose specific ones for our characters! That way everyone would be happy. You want the idle animations back but I am glad they are gone because they caused clipping issues. Actually, I would sell my soul to get rid of the idle animations on my female Sylvari.

I DON’T EVEN NEED STUFF FOR FREE, JUST PUT THE AETHERBLADE ARMOR SETS BACK TO THE GEM STORE AT FULL PRICE, PLEASE! I’ve been waiting for them to return since FOREVER!!!
