What server are you on? I have a Sorrow’s Furnace WvW guild if you are there or want to move.

Introducing Sorrow vs the Worlds [SvW], the first 100% WvW guild on Sorrrow’s Furnace. The goal is to always fight as a group and to always participate in WvW. If you enjoy PVE or sPvP, you will want another guild to represent for those activities. Represent [SvW] only when you want to WvW with us (and if you don’t wanna, then don’t :P). Any level of experience is welcome as long as you are a friendly team player.

Does your current guild infrequently WvW and you’d like to play more? Do you solo or group with strangers when you WvW? Do you want to be part of larger and coordinated WvW activities? This is the WvW guild for you (and keep your current guild for the rest).

Tactics will be tailored to the number that are online. We will complement existing SF WvW activities. We would like to grow into a significant WvW presence. Since this is a new guild, the current member count is low (and you can improve that :P).

While we always enjoy sPvP and WvW, we know we could improve in skill and success. We are seeking allies to help us. We currently sPvP and WvW as a guild at least once a week. Typically, we have 5-15 people at these events and expect greater participation as we improve.

We have seen the power of organized guilds in both areas and desire to quickly become better organized. We desire to make Sorrows Furnace a better place.

We are seeking the following in our allies:

• Fun and friendly people who can provide feedback in a civil manner
• A guild willing to coach primarily PVE players
• Willing to tolerate the loss of pants or other pieces of armor. We have a “pants optional” policy
• Someone who can keep us updated on current character builds and game tactics. While these are scattered around the internet, we have not found a good singular resource for this information.
• Someone we can play with when our guild is not having WvW or sPvP events (aka your guild is active in these areas). Plenty of us WvW or sPvP more than once a week.

Once our farts are generally directed and their relatives smell of elderberries, our mission will be complete.

I also think a player should need to contribute to WvW in order to obtain the bonus. Either spend an amount of time playing in wvw or after so many wvw kills. This should be required every week. Create a big message across the screen, “WvW bonuses obtained!”

I recently spent a lot of effort trying to grow a smaller guild and concluded that I could achieve happiness much quicker by joining a larger guild.

I enjoy all aspects of this game including dungeons, WvW and tPvP (rank 11).
I am an EDT player. I have a mic and I use it. I was trying to stay on Maguuma but concluded that the guild selection was limited. I’ve moved to Eredon Terrace and am willing to consider moving again (please ensure your server is not full).

I feel I have only scratched the surface of what this game offers. I have completed story mode in 6 dungeons so far (and have a small stash of tokens). I’m almost finished with my storyline on two characters. I have numerous alts.

When I log on and say, “Anyone got a spot?” I would like some entertaining offers to appear.

I am looking for a guild that has:

• A friendly and mature attitude
• Frequent events (WvW night, tPvP night, dungeon X night, karma night, etc).
• A standard of grouping and helping other players.
• Has 20 or more active players during prime hours
• Is united in helping each other with “end game” gear like dungeon armors and legendary items (no rush but some progress is good)
• A minimal set of rules

My wife is looking to join whichever guild I join (she has a level 80 ranger).

I’ve also added this suggestion with the intent of adding some benefits and incentive to merging guilds. If anyone likes the idea perhaps you can fuel the fire some.

I saw somewhere that you are working on letting people transfer a guild across worlds in some form (perhaps via some influence scroll or whatever).

There are very many small guilds and many of them are attached to their guild (that set of resources they built). I think it would benefit the game and its players if you would allow guilds to merge and also “bring” their guild resources to their new guild. This seems very similar to moving a guild to another world.

Perhaps you only let them liquidate a percentage of their influence but any contribution to a new guild would be useful.

I suggest:

• add a guild permission for “Guild disband”
• add a guild permission for “Receives guild disband influence”
• upon disbanding of the guild evenly distribute influence scrolls to anyone with the “receives…” permission
• Influence scrolls will be account bound and are only usable when in a guild (similar to the influence bonus awarded with the digital deluxe version)
• Have your algorithm folks figure out a good percentage of influence to return. Probably something in the 10-25% range is good. If one guild disbands and joins an existing guild they would at least be able to add some new capabilities. It’s probably even okay to have this number be a little low so the newly merged guild can “work to grow” the guild.

More active and larger guilds is often useful and better for all involved.

YES, there are too many guilds. In a number of dungeon pug groups last week this was the topic of conversation. Guild merger will get you a better guild quicker but will take more effort (who gets to keep their guild, who are officers, which website is kept, voice chat, etc). Joining an established guild (which is easy to find via these forums or via gw2guilds.org) is even easier and will more quickly result in happiness. Didn’t find the right guild the first time? Keep looking.

I’ve been putting a lot of effort into recruiting for our mid sized guild recently. First, most people want an active guild, not a growing guild (this eliminates at least 80% of guilds…and only large guilds are possibly active). Second, most people don’t want to leave their world (this eliminates 80% of looking for guild posts). Third, many people want “top” or “competitive” guilds (so if you and your friends are very talented or dedicated then perhaps you can grow in this way.

Take a look around in game. How many people don’t have guild tags? I’m a very active player and I’ve counted 14 people without a guild in the last week (I didn’t include noob zones…a lot of people forget to “represent”). That is very few available players.

As another person said, whatever you do, try to keep your current guild (at least it is free bank space…I’m surprised Anet did not include a guild maintenance cost…).

I think our Vampire Crew guild meets your requirements perfectly. I am not sure if our US based play times will work out for you. Most of our players are currently EDT or CDT based and play into the late hours (hence the Vampire Crew name).
