You can’t bring stability to this game without removing the power creep of dps and 1 shots going around.

no one will grab terror when it is in curses that wont beat spite and in a spot where the two other traits are much superior

terror is a relic of the past now in its current form

power block is even able to increases treb shot cooldowns on interrupts

just trait into curses for an auto plague signet on crit and then stop attacking him when you land it and watch him die or burn shadowstep

place a fear or putrid mark at your feet when you believe his second steel is off cooldow and perhaps it will do them in.

Terror is worthless, and it is in curses in a tough decision spot no less and needs another trait to make it somewhat worth it.

Then again…how many fears do you have? would you spam them for the sake of burst damage(negated by cleanse or stun break or a durability rune proc) or defense against burst or utility of preventing stomps/rezzes or stability?

chill is more reliable and has plenty of skills that apply it on a lower cooldown than fear.
terror needs to be a minor trait in curses at the very least.

The hero with the stealth utility (forgot her name). helped us a few time sneak into enemy base while the enemy team were trying to kill her by the outer gate without them noticing us deep inside their base until its too late.

That aside I did not expect such a turn of events and believe Anet handled this well. Perhaps testers that can uphold the spirit of this community better should be allowed to test this. Or better yet hire professional testers to avoid such drama.

I agree with the OP, it is not about gold but principle the game started with which they have time and again ignored.

IMHO The gold sink is pvp is just plain dumb and un-fun and thus should be taken out.

IMO even so it is still outclassed by the other two traits it competes with

its hard to think of a scenario that would make it look more useful than the other two

I will list the bugs I have encountered so far.

Rifts spawn in the void outside player reach

Unable to get into the air during AoE phases. Updrafts and glider wont activate at times. Consistency was not to my liking.

Taking damage while in the air (not from rocks thrown).

Under a health threshold the boss is immune to all damage.

After resetting the fight using the mote, the boss is not hostile(does not engage in combat) and player cannot commit suicide since the edges won’t allow you to jump down to your death resulting in a broken instance that has to be reset(Again).

So far, I am not defeated by the game but by bugs and frustration. I have wasted hours trying to finish this instance and can’t imagine how frustrated some people would be if a bug have struck while the boss is at the last phases.
Two screenies I bothered to take at the peak of frustration to showcase some of the bugs.

With DC finally being extra decent…. it pains to notice that terror and its supplement traits have completely seized being used

Even if I ever wanted to use it I could never justify picking it up instead of the other much more versatile traits it competes with

I tested a maxed condi damage reaper with a warrior helping maintain max might and vulnerability as well as providing strength banner and extra 150 condi damage from fury and the best chill tick was around 1405

Even though I am pretty upset by many changes in game since HoT was released, I can’t deny that I have really enjoyed the HoT music so much and I’d like to thank you, Anet, for making my experience when walking around in game gazing at its beauty more enjoyable. This sentiment is shared not just by me but also by my guildies as well who also have played HoT so far.

Shout-outs to the composer for making such beautiful music! I hope she finds even greater success with her work.

SE should be a minor trait. why else would anyone pick SA if it was not for the single most reliable defense against condis in your kitten nal.

We run a small guild as well (3-7 max) and share this problem.

It seems a very small group of friends cant accomplish what the new changes have brought about

well this is disappointing…of all the other options you could have taken this was the one to kill diversity

guess dropping spite will effectively make the trait worthless. shame that list of viable competitive builds is not seeing much of an improvement at all.

so umm receiving support from allies while in shroud is okay now? can we get the option to generate enough boons outside of spite to make effective use of BB? regen boon and life steal in shroud?

really you could have just prevented the trait from receiving benefits of might fury and swiftness boons from allies since they are applied in bulks now and kept the rest of the boons received from allies functioning with BB.

does not matter he deserves some break time to enjoy watching his art in motion either way

17k hp is what i would consider “healthy”

to be frank I believe marks are too weak to warrant so much counterplay when compared to what they were the past two years
