Suggestion: Mythic Rarity Equipment

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

If crafting ‘mythic’ is roughly the same as for ascended, then doesn’t that mean it would have similar costs? For that cost, we can already stat-swap ascended weapons and armor (save for the fact that ANet hasn’t made it easy to recover runes/sigils).

Honestly, on that I’m not sure. The process to craft it should be similar, but maybe the parts are cheaper to make? It shouldn’t be too cheap, but as you said past a point you might as well go with Ascended anyway. I’m not too sure on where that point is. I guess the value of being able to change stats for free whenever you’re out of combat (and not lose whatever you have slotted) will differ from person to person.

New racial holidays

Palador.2170

I would like to sign on to this. Each capital city needs to have one annual recurring holiday in it.

Agreed, and it should be something that reflects the culture and/or history of the area.

The charr could have a festival for when they overthrew the Flame Legion, with some more somber undertones of remembering those that have fallen in battle.

Expand the April Fools’ Day event to more of an “Inventors’ Festival”. SAB can still be the central point of it, but let’s see some fun stuff other asura have been working on. Open the Polymock arena for costume brawl, if there are no plans to bring Polymock into GW2. Add jump pads into Rata Sum that launch people through the open areas of the map. Cupcake golems. Whatever!

The sylvari tend to be bright and cheerful most of the time, give them a holiday that’s different. Let them celebrate the moment that Mordremoth’s voice went silent once more. A festival dedicated to introspection and appreciating the calm and peace. Gifts of flowers and windchimes, with simple food and drink.

Oh, and let’s not forget Southsun. They can have an awful festival that turns into the Spring Break from Hell.

Suggestion: Mythic Rarity Equipment

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

Suggestion: Add in a new “Mythic” rarity for equipment.

Details: “Mythic” equipment would be a different type of Tier 7 gear (same tier as Ascended). It would have the same stats and slots as Exotic gear, but have the ability to change stats like Legendary tier equipment.

Reasons: Many people feel that the benefits of Ascended gear equipment do not match the crafting costs, unless they are delving into the higher fractals. The ability to change gear stats, however, has been shown to be of value to many. This would also introduce something for Jeweler 500 to make that can’t be more easily purchased with zone currency or laurels.

Notes: Crafting would work mostly the same as crafting Ascended armor does now, as it would still be a Tier 7 product. Possibly some of the items used could be changed, to make use of different materials. While recolored Ascended skins could be used for Mythic equipment, I would suggest that new skins be used with a “functional” theme to them. Weapons designed with function over form, and primary armor segments designed to fit close to the body so that fewer additions clip with it. (Translation: No coats, no skirts.)

Kill Braham, Marjory off in story

in Living World

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

Of course. I am putting forward a preference for the story to be written in such a way as to have the PC avoid and ignore the offending characters, removing them from the story going forward.

Sadly, Braham has just done something of major importance to the lore of the story. Like it or not, a lot of the story will center around him now. Even if we’re not in the same area as him, he’s going to be inescapable.

The real problem for me is that Rox and Garm are with him. Remember, Rox lost her entire family (her first warband, family for a charr) in one sudden and tragic accident. Not only did she lose everyone, she also had to deal with survivor’s guilt and suddenly being gladium. She was truly alone, and that must have been devastating for her. She sees what Braham is going through and wants to be there for him, but she doesn’t realize that what he’s feeling is more self-centered than what she felt. Braham isn’t alone, he just wants to pretend that he is. Rox is likely going to get killed trying to keep him alive.

And Garm? Well, there’s only four people I can think of that Garm might follow. Two of them are Rox and Braham, and as they’re the only two together, it makes sense that he’d follow them. And… yeah. He’s likely going to die too.

The annoying character we can’t avoid is going to drag down other characters with him.

If people have really been asking about the structure of Charr reproductive organs, is there more to this truce with humanity than I’m aware of …?

To be fair, sex is one of the constants through human history. (Obviously.) Kinky oddness is hardly anything new.

Add to that this little phenomenon: Supernormal Stimulus. Basically, if traits such as “tall” and “strong” are what attract you to someone, then being presented with someone that surpasses the human limits of those traits might overload the instinctive response that’s only meant to deal with human levels.

Why A New Race Is Highly Possible [Merged]

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

Norn is an example of a bad race design. But how fitting a race is has no bearing on the discussion. It could be a quaggan for all anet cares. Problem is, inserting a new race after two campaigns have already happened. Say tengu or whatever gets inserted. Do you simply not have access to the Orr and Maguuma campaign? Or will they be shoehorned in with a simple error message “this is not a canon instance”.

Well… Tengu were in The Pact back then. Not many, but we see Trahearne personally recruit one. There were bound to be more. We know that “lapsed” tengu were not allowed back within the walls, it’s not a stretch to say we’re playing one of them.

The tengu personal story would be “in the past” (as is the personal story of any new character), and set before they open up the area. As part of the story, you leave the tengu lands, possibly to never return. Or maybe you’re one of the ones born outside of the Dominion, we know they’re out there. Either way, you’re one of the rare few that joins an order, and none of the orders would turn away a skilled tengu that wanted to work with them. (They’re willing to recruit skritt and hylek, after all.) After that, the story goes normally. There may not be many tengu around, but there’s nothing that keeps the Commander from being one.

Once we’re done with the storyline in the past, in the present they can have the tengu open up the Dominion or not as they see fit. It would be no more of a problem than any other past/present division caused by the storylines.

(Now, for totally new races? There would be a bit more of a problem.)

Family legacy is a European concept. Norn value making your own story.

No, norn do it as well. For examples, see “Braham Eirson” and the personal story path where the horn left behind by one of your ancestors is taken from you. Heck, just look at the “Sons of Svanir”, even. There are other little bits of it scattered about. They want to match or surpass those legends, but they revere and cherish them all the same.

I dont hate the idea of forgiving him because, IMO, there is nothing to forgive.

Yet.

That’s the point right there. We see him walking down this path, and it’s clearly not going to end well for a great number of people. But we can’t stop him, and we know he’s going to get dumped back on us when it’s all over.

I could forgive him for being a brat in one instance. Heck, Rox is the one he really needs to apologize to for that one, he nearly got her killed. It’s what’s coming up next that has a lot of us gritting our teeth and wanting to shoot him.

Nerf trap damage already

in PvP

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

I’ll admit I’m really crappy at PvP, but I’ll add in my observations.

I’ve seen people dropping these at the last second, or on top of enemies during a fight. They’re using them much like a Necromancer’s mark skills from a staff. That doesn’t seem very “trap-y” to me.

I’d like to see DH (and I guess Thief) traps last longer once placed, but take a couple of seconds to get up to full power. That would encourage their use as actual traps, and not just a different kind of AoE. It would also mean that, if you see one getting set, there’s a reason to rush into it right away to disrupt it at less risk than if you wait.

I’m not sure if this would address the issue at hand or not, though.

[Suggestion] GW2 Relationship Sim

I have never seen a sadder suggestion on these forums lol.

Well… between the first suggestion and some of the other ideas tossed out, I think there’s an actually interesting idea or two we can play with.

First, keep in mind that this would be for the home instance. Other people than us live there, so… why not build on that? We can make friends with cats to populate the area, why not other NPCs? Now, I’m not talking love interests, just interesting NPCs. Imagine getting an old granny type to move into Salma, and as a reward she sells you some minor food. Or a young brewer in Hoelbrak, and maybe a researcher in Rata Sum.

Then, once we have them there, maybe they can unlock a second task for us. Maybe Granny has some missing family she tells us about, and we can track them down for her. Or the young brewer remembers that his dead mentor once mentioned writing down his recipes somewhere safe. Off we go again, and when it’s done we’ve added an extra person or two in the home instance, and maybe expanded the benefit of the first NPC.

And if you’re worried that they’ll crowd the instance, maybe they could replace some of the more generic NPCs in the area, instead of just adding to the population.

Can I send him home and replace him with someone whose behavior is not going to detract from the important business of saving Tyria? No, I can’t. If he is going to act like a five year old throwing a tantrum, I should be able to give him a time out.

Well no. You can’t because he’s not listening to you. Even if that was a choice of dialogue, his actions would be the same. lol

Then can we replace him already? And when he messes up, can we call him a disgrace to his mother’s legacy and refuse him entry into the guild? Both guilds, DE and DW? (Let’s face it, in Arah it’s pretty clear that they consider you a part of Destiny’s Edge. And I’m sure both Rytlock and Caithe would back us up on this.)

We know what’s going to happen. He’s going to come walking back over a pile of corpses, and ask to rejoin us. And, because we won’t be allowed a choice, we’ll accept him back and forgive him. We all see it coming, and I for one hate it.

New Player Questions

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

And now, some more advice:

First, do your dailies. Each day, a list of “tasks” will be given to you, covering PvE, PvP, and WvW. (Some holiday/festival ones may be there too.) Do any three of them, and you’ll get some achievement points, Spirit Shards (don’t worry about those for now), and 2 Gold. Especially as a new player, you want that gold. Any secondary loot you get from doing each task is good, too.

Second, always carry a spare set of harvesting tools. It sucks to suddenly have your pick or axe break when you’re out in the middle of nowhere. Just pay attention to the level of your tools, and carry the best that your character can use.

Along those lines, also carry a salvaging kit or two. Two is better. Salvage what you don’t want to use, and deposit the remains as explained above. This will help with your inventory management. Right click on a salvage kit, and you get access to some bulk salvaging options.

Next: Get an invisible bag. I suggest putting it at the bottom bag slot in your inventory, as it fills top down. Anything you put in there will stay there when you tell it to compact spaces, and will not appear for sale to vendors.

Finally, let’s talk crafting: You can gain EXP by leveling up your crafting skill, and at start every character can actively know two crafting skills at a time. (This can be increased to 4 in the gemstore, and if you want to learn an extra you can “deactivate” one and pay to get it reactiviated later at the old skill level.) As you salvage things, you’ll start getting Essence of Luck. Save those, and when you have a bunch find some crafting stations and learn to be an artificer. You can then use Artificing to upgrade them to higher levels of luck. It’s a small bit of extra EXP for you, and a way to dip your toe into crafting without wasting anything you could have sold. Oh, and consume the exotic level luck, that’s as high as it goes.

He seriously needs to be removed. Replace him with a better character whose more interesting. He’s just too heavy to carry.

Actually, they really do need to. Let’s look at what we have:

Rox: She’s shown us some of the issues with being a Gladium in charr society. She’s also shown us how far she will and will not go to get into an official warband. Loyalty to her friends cost her the chance to join Rytlock’s warband, but while she regrets the lost chance she’s never once said she regrets the choice she made at that moment.

Taimi: We’ve seen some of the inner workings of asura society thanks to her, including some pretty ugly parts of it. We’ve also seen her in moments when her intellect isn’t enough to overcome her physical limitations, and how terrified she can be at those times. Even now, she sits in the middle of a mess that’s just waiting to explode on her, so that she can be in control of things. She’s a good plot device currently, and it’s going to be easy to get more plot going with her again when the time comes.

Kas and Majory: Here we see some of the different sides of the human class system in action. One from a noble family that was knocked down, the other from a common family but working her way up. They’ve both seen the good and bad sides of both the upper and lower classes of humanity, but from different perspectives. Good dynamics for storytelling and advancement there.

Rytlock: While Rox shows us what it’s like to be an outcast in charr society, I get the feeling that Rytlock’s going to be showing us the downsides of not wanting to stay in line when you’re part of that society. He’s also the voice of experience in the party, being the only one that’s really trained for large scale military thinking, and an experienced adventurer.

Canach: Provided a much needed sylvari voice for the party during HoT, as well as being the “rogue” of the group. He’ll be needed if we’re to explore any of the fallout on the sylvari, and until then he’s actually a plot hook to keep us working with the Shining Blade.

Braham: For a while he was the token male of the group. Big, strong, hits things. But his character actually ignores pretty much everything of interest about the norn. Even his supposed following of the teachings of Wolf has fallen by the wayside completely now. As none of the characters actually shows any religious or spiritual leanings, this would be the perfect role for a norn to play. And yet, despite how important such things are to their culture, he fails to show any of it. It would be great to replace him with a shaman of some kind. A raven shaman would be great, still big and strong and able to hit things, but also someone that will stop and consult with other sources of wisdom to find his way and advise others. Rox being the superstitious type might get along with them within reason, and it would make for a great dynamic to see them bouncing off of Taimi’s faith in science.

So, yes. Replace him.

Suggestion - Luminescent Dye

Back when the CoH Developers found a way to make glowing effects on the costumes in that game, it was mostly by making parts of the costume not react to changes in lighting. Thus, even in shadow, those parts were bright, creating the glowing effect.

I think that’s pretty much how any glowing parts of armor work in GW2 as well. It’s a great effect, but it’s something that comes from how the armor/clothing is made, and really has nothing to do with what dye you use.

When will we get new elite specs?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

I don’t think the intention was to have tons of them. It’d just make balancing even more difficult for a team which already has major issues in this department.

Based on HoT, I’d say some devs are already low on creative juices, anyways.

HoT was an expansion that focused primarily on introducing new tools, engine revamps, and features over content. Its no surprise that it was content light, that doesn’t mean that the devs are struggling for creativity though.

The constant creation and destruction of so called systems is something this game is known for actually. I’d say yes it does mean there is a lack of creativity they strip something down and try to revamp it then strip and revamp over and over with very little content shown given the amount of work put into it.

To push what you have to bring about unique experiences is a sign of creativity to scrap the entire thing and start a new each and every turn is a sign they didn’t have the creative insight to push anything with what they have to they try to create again and again. Dungeons and underwater lost and forgotten, characters killed off, and so forth. Season 1 in terms of achievements and presentation is as different to season 2 as season 2 is to season 3 while HoT is different from all the seasons and the core.

Work with what you have and use creativity to do something inspired which is something people don’t typically associate with Anet who much prefers to wipe the board clean and try something else which leads to alot of work and very little content.

So, to clarify, you are saying that constantly working to create new things is a sign of a lack of creativity while working to not create new, but instead tweaking that which already exists is a sign of creativity?

Let’s explain it like this:

You’ve seen Star Wars, right? Did you know that Lucas wanted to do a bunch more stuff in that film, but kept running into limitations? He was repeatedly forced to simplify, or cut, to deal with the restrictions he had to work under.

Now, compare that to Episode 1. He had a HUGE budget, more special FX stuff than ever before, and nobody to tell him “No!” The result was a visually stunning film, but…

Getting rid of limitations on things like story telling or game mechanics can be a good thing, but they can also result in an overdone product. Setting some limitations may make it harder to do what you want to do, but it can also focus you. If you keep having to ignore the limitations to go forward, then there’s a very real problem somewhere.

No, they said it isn’t a basic thing. They would have to completely redesign gliders. you don’t just type a line in the code that says “make gliders dyeable”. They know how to do it, it would take a lot of work and recategorizing items and completely remaking items.

While I agree that it’s a lot of work, I think there comes a point where they have to stop going after the easy stuff and address the harder improvements. Are we at that point? I’m not sure, but dyeable gliders and undyeable backpacks moved us a lot closer to it.

Being able to dye things like backpacks and weapons would be a huge plus in character customization. It’s something they should be working on constantly. Not top priority, but never so far down the list that there’s not a team working on it. New items should be designed with it in mind, so they don’t simply add to the work that will need to be done when they decide to do it.

WILL they do it? I doubt it. ANet seems to prefer to move on to new ideas rather than to fix and refine old ones.

Braham didn’t really want anything or have any big goals between the end of Season 1 and the beginning of HoT. He was just there, like it was out of habit or to impress his mom.

When he does want something, he goes for it, reason be kittened. There are times when that’s the right play, too. But that’s his ONLY play. At the least little roadblock, he resorts to “rush in and hit things”.

Mastery Points do need done away with. They are very much a “preparing to have fun” limiter once you run out and have to start looking at the ones you don’t really want to do the content for. And yes, it’s called “Mastery”, but that’s not how it’s used in the game. When you’re required to have them to advance the core plot or navigate the main areas of a map, it’s no longer a good idea to lock them behind things.

Sadly, it’s too late now, and I doubt they’ll remove Mastery Points. Instead, they should create a new Mastery Track that takes the same EXP as a level 1 Mastery, and rewards a Mastery Point when completed. That way it’s always going to be faster to do other things to get Mastery Points (if you can), but nobody will “hit the wall” and stall out on character advancement. It will take longer, yes, but they can still slowly progress and eventually the Masteries will be theirs.

For now, I am assuming legendary armor will have each piece cost as much time and gold/materials as a legendary weapon.

The entire set will cost roughly the amount of a legendary weapon. This has pretty much already been proven.

It’s been stated as such, but no promises have been made. Until it’s in the game (and maybe even after), things can change.

As a side thought, what would people think of armor skins where setting the chest sets the legs as well? You’d never be able to separate the chest and legs (like wearing an outfit), but you would be able to mix in whatever boots, shoulders, gloves, and hat you want. It might be easier for the armor team to make, and would let them break a few of the rules of each weight class, but not be as inflexible as an outfit.

Cosmetic Concerns

I dont understand why people think “but it’s more work” is an excuse for anet to not do something they are definitely capable of.

I don’t understand why people thing “but it’s more work” isn’t an explanation of why it isn’t financially viable.

It’s never a question of “capability” — it’s a question of whether the effort (design, test, implement, maintain) is enough for the benefit (gems sold for RL monies, player satisfaction that translates into more sales & more players) as mitigated by the risk (bugs, clipping, players having tons of different aesthetic preferences, so that as a group, we’re rarely satisfied).

There are a gazillion ideas, millions of good ones, but only a limited number that are ‘viable’ in this sense. And even then, ANet still has to choose, since they will never have the resources to implement every good idea where value is greater than cost.

The problem is that ANet sold the collection of skins as a large part of the end game.

I’m not saying it’s not a lot of work for what may turn out to be bad, I know it is. But they set themselves up for it, it’s reasonable for people to expect them to follow through.

ANet needs to figure out what it will take to get more armor out, then do it. Change the way they make armor? Add more people? Get new software/tools to speed things along? And if it turns out that this is the best they can do, then it’s long past time for them to admit that they’ve run into problems in this area and that from this point forward people need to change their expectations. (And learn from this for future games.)

Braham Spoilers.

in Living World

Palador.2170

I’m not too worried about Braham. His “crusade” will end very quickly, and well before they reach Jormag.

  • He has only one weapon that can hurt it, a bow.
  • Braham isn’t the best archer, he’s only had the bow for a short time. He’ll never hand it off to a better archer, though.
  • He doesn’t know how to deal with the bitter cold, and we don’t know if that elixir will be enough as we get even closer to Jormag.
  • He doesn’t even know where Jormag is.

He can’t make it within eyesight of Jormag, much less within bow range. Anyone following him will figure this out quickly. They may make a hard push against the Sons of Svanir and other minions, but Jormag is quite safe from Braham and his friends.

If he wants that dragon dead, he’s going to be forced to come back to us. I do predict a few deaths before that happens, including Garm and maybe Rox. Still, we might be able to lure the dragon out and let him take a shot at it in the final battle.

It’s to cold for the other quaggans – only black ones absorb enough sunlight to stay warm

That was my first thought as well.

But, some genetic traits can be linked to each other. It’s possible that the black skin/hide trait is also linked to something that makes the skin thicker, or something else that helps them to survive better up there.

Unexpected update

Security updates to the back end can also require updates to the client.

If that’s what it was, I don’t think there would be a “Playable” threshold of about 19% on the patch. It would need to be fully loaded.

That might be part of it, but there’s more to it than that. I’m guessing security update along with some stuff they had ready to go, and it was easier to push it all together.

All nodes still show as drops on the wiki. You can see the current offerings at: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Black_Lion_Chest

The wiki is player updated. The in-game preview function they just added shows only the pepper node is still in there. Either the preview function is broken (bad), or the wiki needs to be updated (also bad).

First of all, I love the preview option. I also like the wardrobe unlock items, though it did disappoint me when one of the ones I got unlocked a very basic crafting skin. The other 3 I had after opening several chests gave me better luck. No more boosters is good, too.

The only real disappointment is that the preview option is indicating that all but one harvesting node have been removed from the chests. Was this really intended? It wasn’t mentioned in the notes that I can see.

that way you have to do something difficult, that maybe isn’t very enjoyable, in order to become one of the elite few

You really don’t see anything wrong with that? That a game that you play for entertainment will have you doing something that “isn’t very enjoyable” just to get a shiny?

You might call that elite. I have a far less charitable word for it, and I will likely assume such of anyone I see wearing this.

And ANet? There’s a line between “awesome” and “trying too hard to be awesome”. You’ve gone past that line with this armor. Seriously, dial it back some.

Question: There’s an actual GM tag? I know about the ANet guild icon over the names… but never an on-duty GM tag. Any chance that someone could post an attachment of what they look like?

I don’t have a screenshot, but I can tell you what to look for. A real GM will have “GM” in their name. It seems simple, but when you name a character the game deals with the capitol letters for you. A player name can’t have two capitol letters next to each other.

GM Mordecai – real
Gm Mordecai – fake
G M Mordecai – also fake

[Feedback] The forced feeling Caithe-hate

in Living World

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

As I’ve stated in other threads, I’m on the anti-Caithe side of things. But here, I want to focus on just one thing: Our encounter with her in the golden cave.

When she steals the egg and vanishes, we’re left with no idea where to go. So, it’s back to the Pale Tree for advice. And what is that advice? To run around and use special seeds to get glimpses into Caithe’s past in the hopes that it will show us where to look. So, we do this. We run around to a few places, have some nasty visions, and finally wind up at a sealed door.

THEN we trudge back to the Priory, get some advice there, and have to reenact an ancient ritual to get Divine Fire to open the door. (Caithe apparently has a key.) We get the fire, go back, open the door and… Caithe is still inside?

IF she stole the egg to get it to where it needed to go, then she should have been long gone before we ever got to that point. We wasted a ton of time trying to find the place and then get into it, why was she still there?

Then, she tells us that she wants to protect the egg, just as we do. That we’re on the same side. So… great! She knows we’re there to protect the egg. She knows we’re the ones that were given the vision about it, were chosen to deal with it, and we’re there to do just that. And yet, later, she goes on about how she didn’t know who to trust, even though right there she says she knows we’re on the same side.

Her excuses and the events leading up to them don’t add up.

(Personally, I think she was hoping to find some way to use the egg to free the sylvari from Mordremoth’s control without risk of them all dying when he was killed. She only gave up that plan when we got the egg back and put it out of her reach. With Mord and Faolain now dead and the sylvari just fine, it’s possible she’s reconsidering a lot of her past actions.)

Something MUST be done about the RP in DR

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Palador.2170

Palador.2170

As an RPer, here are my suggestions:

Sharply downgrade the range of /em, and have the player name clickable like it is in most other channels. Make it /say range, or maybe even a little shorter.

Seperate out command emotes such as /sit into a “Command” channel. Match the range to the new /em range, and have the names clickable there, too.

Finally, talk to the RPers in the community and see if some minor changes can be done to improve some places for RP. DR could use a few, but other areas in the game might be more appealing for RP if a few small adjustments were made. When everyone clusters around just a couple of spots, it gets so bad even some RPers have to give up. Let’s scatter it out some, using a carrot and not a stick.

HoT Hero Points need a severe nerf

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Palador.2170

I am sorry, but since when casual players are immune to grouping with other players or asking for help in map chat?

“Hey, can I have a few gold?”

Any of us that have played MMOs long enough have heard that, or some version of it, by now. We know “that guy”, the one that asks that of other players. And I’m sure many of us have learned an important rule: Thou Shalt Not Be That Guy.

“Hey, will you quit whatever you’re doing, cross the map, and help me with what I want to do instead?”

When you think about it, that’s just as bad if not worse. Asking that can make you feel like you’ve become “that guy”. “That guy” everyone hates, that is told to log out and delete the game if they can’t manage on their own. We don’t want to be him. We want to respect our fellow players and their time.

“Hey, can you stand here and sometimes hit ‘1’ to pump the bellows so I can forge myself some new armor?”

That would be pretty awful, wouldn’kitten Yeah, you might team up to go into dungeons or raids for better gear, but nobody should have to ask for help on getting the basic gear set up to start that process. Right? And yet, a lot of us see our traits and skills as another kind of “basic gear”. We don’t want to ask for someone else to do all the heavy lifting for us, WE want to do it.

Finally, if a bunch of other people had to help to build it, is it really “Our Character”, or does it belong to them as well? If they have no claim, then again we’ve been asking them to give up something for our personal gain, with no return. Personally, I’d rather be guilt free when I tell someone I don’t feel like playing my druid tonight. I don’t want to owe them one for helping me to make that druid functional.

These are some of the reasons, I’m sure there are others.

What a fun suggestion. I love it.

I also think that having ghosts of the char & progeny “Your face is funny, all squished and weird” exchange by the bank in LA would totally make my month.

Are we sure that they both died? I think it would be nicely heartbreaking to see one of them there still alive, sadly saying their part of the old argument to the ghost of the other.
