You should be ashamed attacking people for their opinions on something. Just because they don’t feel the same as you do about something. Discussions OFTEN need points and counterpoints to be a discussion. This is not the “Sit around and agree with everything everyone else says” forum.All people including you are allowed to your opinions on the matter and really you should be receptive to what others say sometimes. Or at least respect their right to not agree with you. I mean seriously.. there is no reason to attack someone else on a personal level at all. Its not productive or conducive to a healthy atmosphere. People of all opinions should be listened to and taken stock of. Not just those that share your personal opinions. We all would do well to do a little more of this, myself included.

There isn’t an active dungeon team anymore. It was dissolved and the people moved to different areas, as far as I know when Robert (the head dungeon guy) left the company early last year.

Hmm now jsut Tribal Armor, can we put ALL the PvP exclusive armors in a Track? C’moooon. I want the medium one so bad I love it.

I play a lot, and I read/respond on the forums when I feel like it but I actually have started to drift away form the forums more as the game has become so interesting lately.

Doing this on MY Sylvari was weird dialog options at the end….when talking to Rox.. makes me think that there is something afoot not sure if Caithe is doing it to betray us at all…. But she obviously doesn’t think we can handle the situation.

I find zerging to be fun at times. I dont’ want this form of game play taken away at all. There is obviously a reason people enjoy doing it… I am one of them. I never understood people hating it. No one forces you to partake and I feel it falls well into the “play the way you want to play.”

There is plenty of non-zerg areas of the game. Please leave my fun alone, thank you.

Multiples of several characters mostly to mix up teh races and do different gear looks. Also different gear and builds in general. I don’t mind hot swappign gear but a lot of times I just like to swap characters because the play style is different completely for some builds. Going form a Healing Guardian to a Zerk’ DPS guardian with different weapon sets entirely is a huge difference. So I make alts of professions I love.

Until WoW is free to play, a lot of people won’t play it, period. But that aside, do you realize how many people simply don’t like WoW..

WoW has 10x more players than GW2, I’m guess if ANet is lucky then MAYBE 1mill still plays this actively and half that might spend money on the lolgemshop. And that is being generous…

The xpac is going to bump WoW subs by about 3 mill, it already did get them back up to almost 8mill just from pre orders so around 10mill is what you’re looking at. 10x the players because it has 10x the content.

How can you compare Content from a 10 year old game to a 2 year old game? Not only that… tehy have entirely different models ways they ship content, etc. Also their content is super different and targetted toward different types of people.

Seriously, if noone at ANet saw that coming then it’s their own fault.
There is one simple rule to follow: The game doesn’t offer anything for the players with proper rewards, so anything that is more rewarding will be farmed like crazy.
And this will be the case until ANet fixes their economy, which is way too gold reliant at the moment. Having everything aviable on the TP is bad.

As for it being patched due to a bug.. doubtful, more like ANET just yet again failed to understand how their content becomes insignificant when easy loot is available and that is a trend we seem to be seeing more and more.
Thankfully this kind of easy win farm required no exploitation in order for it to bare fruit but the fact remains it was a really poorly thought out idea which, like the exploitable farms previous has now allowed the economy to be flooded with excess of materials, item and gold…. but pfft, I enjoyed it while it lasted, not like the rewards for doing the actual events or the breach are anywhere near worth the effort, so back to CS or Drytop for me

Excess Gold/Materials is a fallacy. This is seriously no different in terms of loot generation that Crown Pavilion. I distinctly remember Gold Boss Blitz Farming in July where thousands of Champ bags were put into the system. 10champ bags in 6 minutes that was repeatable.
It may not be on the same “scale” but I highly doubt its not intentional. Maybe they are trying to drive down prices of some things that were getting outta control? Powerful Blood was 70silver a few days before the patch… That’s ridiculous.

I’ve reserved judgement on this until now. I have given it a week-ish and I personally have found I don’t mind it at all. Might even pick one up myself for sheer fact I love the little sayings.

What’s the problem here? Get some of the flashy skins then? there are a ton of em. I am not sure the problem here?

I think if they took the crests out of the chests as rewards, and put the crests for the keys into the events people would at least seek to do more than just Amber’s events. But this is just my opinion. I’m neither here nor there about the chest farming. I’ve partaken myself recently and it is decently fun. To me its akin to Crown Pavilion this year. Lots of Loot bags. That didn’t ruin the economy and this won’t either.

The only problem I have found is the lack of maps where people are farming the events themselves. I was one day late and I have yet to be able to complete all of my SW achievements because lack of help with bosses/defenses.

I enjoy the NPE quite a bit. Especially the weapons part. I no longer have to unlock all my weapon skills each time I get a new weapon. They are already unlocked and I can just play. It takes me about 20-30 minutes as a veteran player to get to level 15, even less than that if I am crafting my way up.
If you are soo bothered by the NPE, Take 2gold and level cooking to about 225. If you’re a vet and have 80s you should be able to handle this no problem.

There ARE options around this so calm down. To me its fine I’ve leveled about 3 characters to 80 after the NPE came out and I have literally not had a single thing bother me about it after they fixed/changed the account bound stuff.

In any case, where is this blindfolded Rytlock people are talking about? I don’t remember seeing it anywhere. In fact, all we got on the Rytlock front is that no one’s seen him since he jumped in the portal, as far as I recall.

That instance is able to go into as much as you like. Sure you have to listen to a very small snippet but then you are free to roam around as long as you like.

Hmm I don’t know where this is coming from, but it doesn’t belong in this forum. Try the Tech Support Forum…. especially since I don’t think this is largely a GW2 Problem, since not everyone lags or has issues at all.

Ever since they fixed the Culling options I have zero lag unless I have some kind of network issue with my ISP. Sometimes my Internet doesn’t like to talk to GW2 very nicely and it causes some strange DC’s etc. I’m not technically inclined by maybe one of those people in the Tech Support can offer you some help with your problem. Maybe its your computer?

I’m a bit of it all with exception to the min-maxing part of A, though I do try to utilize my chosen stats/skill combos to the best of my abilities at all times. I also try to master game mechanics because I feel that knowledge is greater than what my characters stat layout looks like.

A big portion of localization would have to be hiring people to work on that and to GM that for tickets, reports, etc. I have seen no word on whether they will or they won’t, but I do wish you luck.

I never even pay attention to it. So its not very intrusive in my opinion.

Those notes on the lowered costs are incorrect too……they said lowered from 80 copper to 60? It never cost 80 it used to cost 8, so they should have meant lowered to 6. However when I looked at it in game the tool tip on the item said 3 so they have all sorts of issues with this part of the update lol….

You’re confusing two different items I think.

Silver-Fed is what they lowered to 60 copper instead of 1 silver.
Copper-Fed has always been 3 as far as I remember.

Also, while some of your points are well thought out. I honestly do not believe most of that belongs in our game.

The only point I see that I really can get behind is adjustments to world bosses. However, I also don’t want them to all be like Teq and Wurm hard either. I love the balance between hard fights and some good old fashion Loot Pinatas.

I love when games make Pop Culture References. I did think this as well and I smiled immensely.

I think these armors look fantastic. I love the female looks especially, but I really do like the male versions. Just love em.

Also, I love that it seems to tie with the whole addage of “All Things In Nature Are Balanced” .. We are throwing that balance off.

Also, the player-characters are NOT oblivious as you may thing. It is in our Story Journals what that vision means. The means they know what it means at least to some extent.

Mmk, so after spending some time going back through all of the LS Season 2 to refresh my memory (and no I haven’t done this one yet), something keeps popping out to me that my brain keeps focusing on.

Now, we see that vision of the Eternal Alchemy that is revealed to be the Dragons and Tyria, sometimes the Pale Tree itself at its center. My thoughts on this that I keep coming back to are what if Killing The Dragons is NOT a good thing?

Sure they are being portrayed as all-evil and such, but what if they are in their destructive ways, part of the balance of the world? I cant’ get over it myself by thinking maybe we are going to harm our world…

Even further thought to this is, what happens when all of the Dragons are gone.. and there is now and over abundance of magic in the world that will certainly change the world and everything around it.

I fear us doing way with the dragons will lead to even more problems that we cannot even fathom!

Just FYI ANet’s Answer to Dueling is Custom Arenas. They’ve come out and said as much. Sooo get a Custom Arena and duel your friends.

How can you exploit something that’s account bound?

Welp, I played every moment I could spare in Lab, and bought countless stacks of ToT bags. I am having to be done with halloween event since I must sleep soon and then by the time I am able to play tomorrow Event will be gone. in that time I got 1 ZuZu, Some Pillows and 1 Endless Halloween Tonic. No Puppy, and no other unique reward. I am sad but mostly because I tried so kitten

the plus side every one of my alts now has 100 slots of inventory space and once I stopped buying more bags like the first week I was able to outfit my newest alt with all the Corrupted Weapons, and a nice set of gear from the money I made. Not an entire loss, but I really would have loved Gwyn. =(

I liked the capes in Guild Wars, especially since the art and animation teams got such a fluid “flow” to the fabric. (Actually, other game designers asked how it was done, back in the day!)

I imagine there would be challenges in incorporating capes, and naturally a cape would cover some of the armor pieces, which is a drawback when you’ve worked hard to get the whole “look” going on. As mentioned, it was brought up in the CDI, so that’s good.

Paradox — I’m curious. Why do you say “no capes?”

The MMO gives additional things to “play” It gives platform for Make-Your-Own Adventures. At least that’s what I play for. Using the in game things such as quests and the abilities to actually “Quest” and engage in battles, etc make a lot of RP come full circle.

On top of that I also RP because it allows me to write my own story how I see fit for any various character and how he/she interacts with other RP’rs around me thus breaking the normal modes and allowing for additional story to develop.

Thirdly, its just super fun.

Well excuse me Mr. Perfect but if you spend so much time watching to see if a staff ele switches attunements then exactly how much are you contributing to the effort? I have used my staff ele numerous times against bosses and although I tend to stay in fire I will swap to water for healing purposes then back to fire. Since it takes 10 seconds to swap back into fire after swapping out then you would have to be focusing your attention on your party bar to see what attunement the ele is in for 10 seconds at a time.

Edit: Ever stop to think that perhaps the reason the staff ele died at range is that they spent their time in water to heal the group instead of themselves? Of course you did not think about that as it is about you!

By the way I have 9 level 80s and am quite aware of how each of the professions work!

You’ve missed the point of this thread, lol. Just saying. Try not to judge others for their confessions. If they are confessing them they obviously know there is some Taboo in feeling/thinking how they do. Its not YOUR right to judge anyway, because I am sure you have some less than desirable things about you when it comes to the game.

My friend got False Reported on. They temp banned her to look into the issue. Then when they let her ban up they gave her some stuff for compensation and we have it on good authority the person that mass reported her was banned himself.

ANet don’t take False reporting nicely and they check out all the reports. The false Reporters will likely get banned themselves for it.

If you haven’t done anything wrong there is literally zero for you to worry about.

if you are talking about the mummies in Lab… Learn their teles before you dodge. If they CC you, kill them. Bring you Break stuns (every profession has some). Learn the paths where you can avoid aggro, etc. Yes you need to get smarter if you are going to skip “trash” mobs. They aren’t designed to be skipped. They are there to be killed.
