Hey people I need help please. I just started doing fractals on my Mesmer (love him best class I think) and am about to hit level 10 personal fractals.
Now I know I need agony resist from 10 upwards but how do I know how much I need?

Hey all I am levelling a ele alt as the staff is a lot of fun with the big nukes and I love the lightning hammer but am finding it hard to find builds with both these.
Do they not work well together? Please explain.

It does not effect staff clones that cast Winds of Chaos. Logic would say that it should follow the exact rules of that skill, which includes a bounce, therefore working with the trait.

Basically staff clones should be our ranged AoE clone and they aren’t.

Staff is my favorite but unfortunately it’s very low DPS in PVE so don’t play staff in PVE unless you wanna use the phantasm on a World Boss.

Yeah . Know its abit lacking I hope they do something about it with the upcoming changes

The staff is really a utility weapon so can be taken in whatever build for the unique utility it brings. I imagine it would be ineffective in PvE, but I don’t PvE so would need someone else to let you know. As for in PvP, I pretty much can’t play without one anymore :P.

Hey all my Mesmer is almost level 80 now and would like to use the staff as I think the staff is an amazing weapon on the Mesmer.
Can I get some feedback on what part of the game (pve,WvWvW,PvP) the staff works well in and with what builds?

Hahaha noooo don’t think I would take the chance at transmuting a legendary I am sure I have seen a post about that somewhere saying dont do it lol.
My 1st legendary I have ever wanted to get has always been Twilight, yes I know it’s the most common legendary out there, but 1 of my reasons for doing GW2 is legendarys, I think the idea is amazing and that was the first one I saw on Dontain’s video and was like kitten I want that.
Back to the topic at hand I think I will go for Mjlnoir for the time being while working on Twilight then maybe have juggy as my 2nd legendary

This hammer shares the same skin as the elementalist lightning hammer, but my question is on the 3rd swing of you auto attack chain do you get the lightning strike like on the elementalist lightning hammer?

Well personally I would like to see the staff added to the ranger but change it up and make it a melle weapon so we can hit people about the head with it and maybe have some support skills on 4 and 5.
As for the rifle that could be done just look at the guy at hunters lodge that starts the giant boat event, I would wonder what skills it would have tho since the warrior riffle is very similar to the ranger longbow ….

Ignore the hatters I love the ranger Proffesion. I have tried out ever proffesion on this game and some are level 80 and the ranger is my main.
Play what you like the most mate, there are always going to be some idiots who hate out class mainly when we own them 1 on 1 WvW lol, but if you enjoy it stick with it.
