Sneak Gyro’s field should be increased just a bit so you don’t constantly run out of it OR give the kitten thing swiftness/movement speed buff when I have swiftness/movement speed buff. Tired of running out of the field by just using mecha legs.

Jumps, as in “space”, are supposed to be affected by it. It referred to movement skills.

Jump Shot and Rocket Charge ARE movement skills.
Heartseeker, rocket boots, Warrior sword leap, Warrior GS charge, bullrush, etc. etc. aren’t supposed to be affected by conditions or movement speed buffs.

Is it still true that we only get the splashing metal effect on hammer skill 1, and not any of the others? (it’s especially disappointing if we don’t get it on the leaps of 3…)

In other words Engi legendaries get shafted for the 4th time what a surprise.

Which reminds me, did they even make an effect for Grenade Barrage with the Jugg?

How about no. If it stays directly over your shoulder all the time it would defeat the purpose of having that large stealth field around you because the gyro is saying HEY I’M STANDING RIGHT HERE. Yes players can already see the Gyro but they also have to guess where in the field you’re standing.

It’s because Asura’s dodgeroll animation is a flip and Rocketboots uses that animation at the end. Everyone else is a dodgeroll.

Guys please stop saying you get more grenades. You’re not getting more grenades you’re getting PIERCING grenades. the reason why you keep thinking you’re getting 13-14 grenades is because your grenades are doing damage when they pierce the target and dealing damage when they explode on the ground. Piercing + explosion = 2 hits, 7 grenades hitting twice = 14 hits.

They’re fixing it anyways so it’s not like it matters anymore.

Please add that grenades are also not counting as projectiles and can PIERCE REFLECTS AND PROJECTILE BLOCKS. I’ve had eles put up swirling winds and get instagibbed by nade barrage even though they were standing inside of it.

In addition to the grenadier trait making grenades pierce, it also makes them non-projectiles.

I’ve had engis use nade barrage through a guardian’s sanctuary more than once and had all of them go through my ranger axe #5 skill.

After the Change, I constantly get hit by 4k and 8k crits that kill me in 2-3 seconds. Not a big deal. I kill those ppl equally as quickly on my burst build.

We need to get over the previous meta which espoused moderate damage on tanky builds (shoutbow, cele d/d ele, et al). The new Change said you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Be bursty. Be tanky. You don’t get to be both.

Or we could nerf it all and go back to boring 2 minute duels where we’re waiting for someone to slip up on a heal.

Have you looked at cele ele recently? They’re even worse now. Tanky as kitten and stupid amounts of sustain damage, more than before.

Here’s the problem. Anet has been discounting GW2 for months and then saying that HoT won’t be standalone and requires the base game. Ok fair enough the game is discounted.

Now the price is revealed and they go “lol jk we’re selling the full package now”

Well then what the kitten was the point in newer players spending $20 for the game and now have to spend another $50 for the expansion and the game.

They could have paid $50 rather than $70, get what I mean?

the devs have shown a massive bias towards engineer for a while now, and it’s obnoxious each time we get a taste of that bias.

by far one of the stupidest mechanics engineer has had is the ability to spam nades at their feet pretty mindlessly for practically instant (uncounterable) AoE conditions/damage. worst part has been how ridiculously well this worked with incendiary powder since each nade could proc it, and while i’m happy to see poison nades get a deserved nerf as well as incen powder getting moved, that alone isn’t enough.

i predict there’s gonna be more things about engie that are gonna be broken after the 23rd changes (this is probably gonna be true of all professions to varying degrees) but i’m gonna have to see it in action to have a meaningful opinion.

That’s because engis kept getting nerfed for no reason for the first couple of months of the game’s launch. Hell I mean kit refinement was pretty good, then 100 nades came along, everyone saw that and then Anet saw it and went “wow that’s really strong… a bit too strong” and then they nerfed it into the ground. Now that no one uses it they’re forcing us to use it by slamming it with speedy kits and also nerfing speedkits at the same time.

Not really. The M224 Mortar can be fired while being held although that’d be more like a last resort. It’s not like a handheld mokittenoesn’t exist.

Sorry guys but medkit will be completely viable now especially since it can now remove FOUR conditions on top of any on swap sigils (energy, cleansing, inventions minor trait removing a condition when using a healing skill).

That Defender rune build is getting buffed up the wazoo from these trait changes.

Cleansing Synergy: When you use a healing skill you emit a cleansing pulse to nearby allies, removing a damaging condition from them. This trait has a 10 second internal cooldown.
Heal Resonator: When you use a healing skill you grant 6s of regeneration to nearby allies.
Energy Amplifier: While under the effects of regeneration you gain up to 250 Healing power.

All of those already synergize perfectly with each other. Mecha legs is perfectly fine as far as movement speed goes and it reducing movement impairing condition durations makes it even better.

Of course this is all speculation, we’ll see when the update comes out.

EDIT: Look at the positive sides too, we have so much more access to condi removal now! The only thing that is our major weakness is hard CC I guess.

I feel like Juggernaut is a little too insane now, basically perma stability assuming it doesn’t get stripped from you within those 3 seconds. This makes stomping really really easy.

The reason this occurs is because you cant use any skills while jumping in general. You cant even open your inventory. The only way I see a fix to this is making it possible to use abilities while jumping, which I love in games.

I mentioned that and I realize that but once you land on the ground you need to be able to use your skills. There’s no reason why I should be vibrating for the rest of the immob duration and basically sit there twiddling my thumbs while I eat thief burst.

This needs to be fixed. There are many times as an engineer (really applies to all classes) where I get immobilized in the middle of my jump shot/rocket boots/acid bomb/falling/jump and I’m left completely defenseless because the game still considers me in the air so I can’t use any skills, not even instant cast skills to remove it.

It applies more to pvp due to mobs in pve rarely if ever immobilizing, only one I can really think of is the spider in AC.

Im also a long time fan of GW1 and GW2 but recently burned out with GW2 after playing a long time. Playing Aion NA atm and kinda enjoying It ex. Flying and grinding It feels nice sometimes. Anyway let me point out what im expecting in the incoming expac.

Gliding and wind stream system. Please make sure if your going to do this it will be better than Aion they have the similar system for alternative way of travel and its amazing….take a look.

ARMOR designs. Lets face it GW2 armor sets has horrible designs but you can make it right in the expac. I dunno why Aion like games have superb armor designs? Its the designer that lacks imagination? If this game are all about cosmetics then be the best! Not comparing but just an example. Just have a look.

Lastly, please add a litte grinding (skins, skills etc ) cause sometimes it feels nice when you finally got what you want by grinding for it. And oh please make the new skills animation look cooler I know you want this guys… and finally add a UI for cons makes our life easier.

Except we learn that Sylvari from the Pale Tree can be corrupted. During the last cutscene you see a ton of Sylvari from the Pact, Lionguard, etc. get red eyes and turn on their comrades. And then later we see Sylvari that seem more tribal/more savage using nightmare court weapons or something very similar.

My suggestion would be Human if we get some awesome new Revenant-only armor (though I doubt it; there’s very little gear in this game that’s restricted to specific Professions, besides certain items you can choose when you’re making the character). However, Rytlock’s new outfit might be an example of “Revenant armor”, or maybe only the blindfold is. Using any other race is taking a risk that the new armor will look ugly or strange.

Sylvari might work.

Norn for sure.
They already have a link to spirits, and their huge bodies make heavy armor look amazing.
This class has norn all over it imho

No Season 1 is not in the story journal, no they can’t put season 1 in the story journal because the majority of it dealt with the open world. They would have to overhaul all of it (and that’s a lot of LS to overhaul) in order to make it so that it can be played in instances.

Ive always found greatswords the most fun, fluid and impactful weapons on the other classes. I mean they are all very mobile weapons except for mesmers. They all have nice burst skills. And they have a range of defensive and offensive skills including control on some of them. Hopefully we get something along those lines as currently none of our weapons fills that kind of feel or range of abilities. I love daggers but its pretty boring just auto attacking. So im looking forward to seeing what the greatsword brings.

Warrior GS 2 != mobility in any way shape or form. Neither does Guardian GS 2. The only mobility-themed GS is Ranger and that was still meh to me (might mostly attribute said meh to the fact I really don’t like pets being required for the class).

Wat. You’re telling me that Warrior’s greatsword is not mobility themed? You’re telling me that Rush + Whirlwind is not mobility? Are you drunk?

After an hour of running around in circles (MAN I’m glad they got rid of having to pay to fix your armor!), I finally figured out that I could light the fire while I had the fire. (ANet, couldn’t you at least put a different color on us? SOMETHING to let us know that something has changed, please!)

This isn’t the same. Sylvari are dragon minions. Sons of Svanir are Norn that worship “Dragon” as a spirit animal much like Bear, Wolf, Snow Leopard, and Raven. They are not corrupted by Jormag but they worship him as a spirit animal.

I know this is quite a few days late but to those wondering where ho-ho-tron went he’s in Lion’s Arch. Remember that he’s gone through quite a few names (hobo-tron, ho-ho-tron, job-o-tron, and heal-o-tron) and is now named Hero-Tron. He’s standing beside Ellen Kiel, Evon Gnashblade and Captain Magnus slightly north (and on top of the wall) of where the Lionguard karma weapon merchants are by Fort Marriner Waypoint.

Edit: Apparently he was only re-added recently and yet they’re still talking about the Scarlet attacks. It’s been probably months in-game why are they still talking about that.

Slick shoes are OP? Lol. Slick shoes are in a really good spot right now, they’re powerful yeah but they’re a 1 trick pony. Anyone with stability will go right through them (although super speed will allow you to gtfo of that situation at the cost of your stunbreak).

I always thought only ranger-pets would trigger them, even tho I have to admit that I were always curious about whether necro-minions, mesmer-clones or engi-turrets would trigger them as well. (never tested it myself)
But I hardly believe that minis trigger them, and even if they do, that’d run under bug / exploit in my book…

Yeah ranger runes are bugged so that minis activate the 6th bonus. It’s actually been like this for a while, since long before the account wardrobe was released.

I love how people start to complain 24 hours after the patch.
How about 1 try per day? You’ll most likely have your two missing boxes within a month and it’s not that frustrating if you do other things in between, too.

Are you dumb? Do you realize how fast this map will die once everyone gets their luminescent gear/achievements? If we do it once a month we’ll never get a coat box due to there being not enough people by the time 3 weeks comes around.

How is this evidence? Tengu still will not deal with others (aside from very select few Tengu) until they are threatened to the point where they need outside help. Mordremoth might cause that, sure, but at the moment we have had no word about how the Tengu are fairing against the Mordrem or if they’re even under siege.

What I think, is that as the Pact drew closer to Mordremoth, the madness in the Sylvari Pact Soliders became greater and consumed them. What bothers me is that Trahearne, a firstborn, was able to shrug it off and fight with Destiny’s Edge. It could be his sword, or it could be that fact he came directly from the Pale Tree which made him resistant. Perhaps secondborns or other generations of Sylvari are more susceptible to Mordremoth (Scarlett or Ciera for example). I hypothesize the Pale Tree might have needed help resisting Mordremoth herself, and could have had help from Glint or other magics. Being around her could make other Sylvari resistant also, and in her current weakened state it could explain why it was so easy for him to take over the soldiers.

So many things though from the previous LS make sense from this revelation, and they really did do a good job. When Scarlett said she knew Caithe’s secret, she might be referring to this scene. Considering she is an agent of Mordremoth, and how the minions of dragons and dragons share a telepathic link with knowledge (like Zhaitan) this makes sense. This can also explain why the Inquest are drawn to use Sylvari to fuel their Golems, as dragons consume magic and Sylvari are reservoirs of dragon magic. It might also explain why Zhaitan was unable to turn them into minions, as perhaps no two dragons can lay claim to the same species. Either way, this was an intriguing and exciting way to conclude the LS.

All of our current Sylvari come straight from the Pale tree so Trahearne doing this makes no sense. On the other hand it’s possible it differs between everyone. Trahearne would be able to shrug it off more I suppose than others. Nightmare Court can probably be consumed much more easily.

Where were you aiming? I just stood on top of it and melee. Took off only around 25% the first phase because my character was being a bit too friendly with the floor but the second phase took off the rest of its health.

Similar to the Caledon jungle wurm the crosshair might move around but it doesn’t have much bearing on where the hitbox is located. Actually it’s the same for Shadow Behemoth too.

Again my nades were hitting his neck dead center and at times I would do damage and other times I would not. The hitbox is moving everywhere. I had a moment where I stood directly in the circle and blew my flamethrower straight at him and not one hit connected.

When you get to the moments where you can damage him his hitbox moves all over the place. My nades can never land 100% of the time because even if I throw them right on his neck his real hitbox will be moving somewhere slightly outside of the circle.

By circle I mean the ring of fire.
