From 0:00 to 1:00, I couldn’t stop laughing.
I was going to make a big message explaining how I am disappointed and loosing interest in this game, but I don’t even have the motivation for this.
I do not have the will to connect for more than an hour anymore. I want to play ele, but the class is not delivering, and dev comments on its future frighten me. I want to play fractals but it is very hard to find a group with like-minded individuals. I want to do the Ascension Challenges but it is even harder to find people interested. I want to do dungeon runs, but I hate playing just for the rewards, so the amount of mechanics abuse disgust me. I used to want to train to get better, but now I am wondering what for? The top players I yearned to join seem to have all lost interest in the game. And no, destroying the same spore thing 25 times to get a text line telling me I am good does not amuse me.
I am posting in this sub-forum because this is where I can meet people sharing my mentality. This game could be so great, and waiting for it do achieve what it could be is a bitter hope. How are you coping with your frustration?
It is just incredible for me at times to convince myself that I am playing a “Guild Wars” game.
Change is ok, but imo this whole game is more of a Ncsoft thing than an Arenanet thing. Why?
Well, In 7 Years I have played both Guild Wars 1 and Lineage 2 (respectively, Propechies\factions\nightfall\EoTN and Chronicle 4\Interlude —→ the others after were utter kitten) and loved how the 2 games played out.
Quite frankly, GW2 feels more like a fusion between the old GW and Lineage 2 to me, it’s incredibly numbnutting to me how could Arenanet scrap so much things that worked perfectly with the first game, how the community was connected with the istanced outposts and cities and how special it was to have your own team of heroes at your command, and the story? The rise of the Mursaat, the Vengeance of Shiro Tagachi, the Chaos of Abaddon, the menace of the Destroyer, just pure awesomeness.
7 years of joy and pride, everything was just beautiful, from the pve to the pvp, and when you were full of it, you could always jump into the awesome Alliance Battles! with a real-time continuous fight for predominance between the Kurzicks and the Luxons, you felt like you contribuited to something and the world was really breathing with life and adventure.
Guild Wars 2 —-→ kitten kitten Dregonzzzzzz OH MA GAWD POIROTES AND SCARLETZ, GUYZ FULL ZERK OR GTFO SPEED SPEED SPEED DPS DPS DPS OMG GET TO DA KEEP ZERG INTO THE LORD GO GO GO.
Seriously, if it wasn’t for my old friends I would have quitted this game long ago, and I DARE you arenanet, I dare you to add another tier of gear, I’ll assure you a Kittenload of playerbase will just migrate back to GW1, where things weren’t time-gated and you had the true freedom and enjoyment that a game should provide, not the second Job that Guild Wars 2 feels like because I HAVE TO log in because otherwise I won’t get stuff.
I have played warrior for the past 2 months and I’m getting kind of bored of burst DPS roflstomp so I’d like to change my game up a bit with a new toon that is specialized in DoT damage.
Scholar class-wise, what are my options as of now? (after buffs\changes\nerfs)
Thanks in advance.

If this was the original Guild Wars I would have agreed on letting 10 years old kids play ( that’s exactly the age I started playing GW ) but…
…eerrrrr the community is a lot more selfish here and the game is more action oriented even with the easiest class, but I suppose that a Warrior or Guardian should be optimal I guess?
Guardian on PVT gear is practically invincible in PvE and Warrior can destroy pretty much everything before getting killed.
Then again you can take into account the “fun factor” of some classes, maybe your child could like some magic and so a mesmer could be fun, or maybe he likes collecting pets and adventuring so even a Ranger could be optimal.

How did you even manage to write “Fractals”?
First world problems.
It’s no big deal, you just ran into the Elitism of Elitists: French Guilds.
Seriously, there is something wrong with theese guys, they even prepare specific LFGs when pugging. “LFM only french”
Who the hell do they think they are? Punks.
There’s an item in the gemstore that let’s you get your trait points back when not in combat.
“Adding the skill factor to make a weapon truly legendary instead of a measily farm? Nonsense! Legendaries are meant to be a long-term farming fest so people can show how much of a cool kid they are in Lion’s Arch! "
Before the warrior was a joke in PVP.
Now there’s some viability to it and it became popular even there.
The thing is, maybe people are just whining because before it was just “the pve god” and now they get rustled because war is not a joke anymore in pvp and it can pose a threat.
Will you ever stop complaining?
Come on, hit me! I’ll hit you back! – Citation Needed
This is very srs guise.
Nao I wants ach33vments for skippinz eleitles.
Someone, wake me up. Kthxbai. SO RUSTLED.
“I’m sad now. :P”
You don’t look like it.
In any case, yes, if the party leader leaves the instance everyone gets out.
R.I.P. Wayfarer’s gear.
Everyone in the group used armor, trinkets and weapons with Wayfarer’s stats(Magic Find, Vitality, Toughness). The best possible statspread which was too OP for the game, so ArenaNet had to remove it a few weeks back.Sidenote: The spawned parrots from the Runes of the Pirate did at least twice our DPS. Runes of the Pirate also OP.
(How do you embed videos here?)
Omg I can’t stop laughing…please give me the first song name ahhahaah gosh this was too epic and I just woke up.
ARM, I’m not selfish, I simply stated my opinion about a skill, PVE and PVP are simply separated, that’s a fact and you know it. You didn’t even bother reading my whole post seeing your banal reply.
Maybe this was brought up several times allready, I don’t know but this is my first post so bear with me please
Ok so recently I decided to give a try to the elementalist profession, I’ve never tried it before the nerf so I have no Idea how it was but I can’t see how the 40 second cooldown on RTL is fair for pve.
I’ve done some research and all the complaints were pretty much for WvW and spvp, personally I think it was all around a decent nerf as I saw plenty of videos with elementalist running like crazy and almost no one could catch them if not thieves.
I’ve played GW1 for about 7 years and I remember how the skills were at some point split between pvp and pve as the two worlds were really different from eachother, I think this kind of treatment should be applied for the RTL skill, ok maybe 40 seconds cooldown is a bit harsh in pvp too but I have no idea since I’ve never tried this class there.
Personally I don’t really like to rely on signet of Air all the time giving up an utility because I can’t use RTL to roam around, I’m no expert but it kinda hurts to be outrunned by rangers who leap all around all day with the signet always on, at least they don’t die in 2 hits.
TL;DR version
Sorry for my ignorance on the matter if something was not right, but having a nerf on Pve because people complains in Pvp does not really seem fair to me, WvW should be considered pvp in my opinion, I’d just like to be the mobile class Arenanet told us it should’ve been at launch.
