Maybe I read that wrong, but the patch notes state the following:

A reward chest will now be awarded after all three Assault Knight events have finished, and will be given to the corresponding participants even if only one Assault Knight was defeated.

This sounds to me as if all players who fight the assault knights would receive the reward, even if only one event succeeds. However, in the attempt on Drakkar-Lake a few minutes ago only the green knight failed, participants of red and blue got loot, but the ones from green did not.

As said before, I don’t know if I understand the patch notes right, but I would highly recommend that this behaviour should not stay as it is – simply because it’s another reason for the players not to split up, but instead to participate in one of the events that is likely to succeed, hoping for the chance to get a buff when another player looses it.
