Leaderboards
•We’re pleased to announce that Guild Wars 2 leaderboards begin recording data on March 26th.
•Initially, the leaderboards will feature WvW rankings, PvP player rankings, and total achievement points—something for all player types in GW2.
•As of March 26th, your existing scores will silently be posted to the leaderboards while we watch for the top leaders to stabilize. These scores will take into account some of your past accomplishments/rating.
•Once stable, we will display the leaderboards for players. We currently don’t have an exact date for leaderboard public release.
Now if they are going to have further filters for like Server, or Friends only, we will have to see.
Same here for Dragonbrand. I was trying to make a new character when it wouldnt go past the Naming (Step 10) and now I can’t log back in. Same error code.
As a player from a small roaming group who tries to distract and take on ~2x our number while our zerg is capping nearby, I will be going in order of:
-Siege Bunker – Hard to fight in EB without being in range of siege
-Mercenary’s Bane – When fighting larger numbers in supply camps, the Hyleks and Dredge cause more problems to us then the players
-Defense against Guards – Similar to mercenaries but I really wish they changed this to reduced CC from guards, its annoying that the guards cripple, blind, poison, stun, immobilize, and pull, better and more offten then most groups of players.
But overall my group is really happy with the potential to not have to worry about the PVE elements of WvW as much, very curious how much damage reduction from siege there will be.
If you mean white critters, that does not work. If you mean yellow or red critters, that puts you in combat speed which is not good for initating fights (WvW).
Title says it all. It’s annoying when you are about to enter battle and you pop Signet of Fury for full adrenaline and it immediately starts depleting before you can even use your Burst Skill.
I can understand they don’t want it to completely reset the out of combat Adrenaline Timer because warriors would be able to keep up full adrenaline permanently out of combat but it should have like ~5 seconds or so where it will remain at full before depleting.
This might also be a bug since it really only happens when your adrenaline is already starting to drain or just finished draining.
Bump. Please Fix Earthshaker, not being able to stun people just because they are down hill from you is gamebreaking. It completely removes what is suppose to be one of our profession making skills.
I don’t think the downed state should be removed but it definitely needs to be tweaked, as of right now you basically have to fight the same person twice. Fixing downstate will greatly increase the number of coordinated 10 man groups going to wipe 20-30man zergs.
1.) Players should have same amount of downed health as spvp or no armor, Guardians should not be able to outheal splash damage.
2.) Player’s shouldn’t be able to do damage while downed, at least not in wvw or spvp, getting hit for 1k every second by a downed player your trying to finish is dumb. At least it should be a 5 sec cooldown, players will still be able to rally from their fighting before they went down.
One for Fun would having the outman buff give us quickness on Finishing.
Ele is one of the easiest classes to play.
Skill ceiling is high for classes that need to rely reflexes, positioning and timing or particular setup mechanics; Ele has almost nothing of this.
Regardless if the average MMO baddie believes # of button equals skill ceiling, Ele is probably the second easiest class (Ranger takes first by far).
My little nephew plays an Ele very good, and fails to understand other classes because they are not as straight-forward and simple.
Worry not about Ele difficulty OP, class is pretty easy to play so far.
From a WvW perspective, I have to agree with Red Falcon, D/D Ele is one of the easiest classes to play, especially healing/tank builds, but all D/D builds are nonetheless. Staff Ele on the other hand is a little harder to master to actually feel effective and work with your group, I mean small skirmishes not sieging. If you watch some of the posted D/D Ele videos you will see they miss half their fire grabs, burning speed, and so on, but so what, they just switch to the next attunement and carry on, if they get low they run away, this is all the same for any Ele, not picking on them. This is something you can’t do with many other classes. If you miss one of your main attacks you can’t just swap to another 3 sets. With the ability to constantly move back and forth the D/D Ele does not need to worry about positioning as much as most classes. I do agree however, that once you play Ele all the other classes seem fairly boring. I have played ele since beta and do use D/D for WvW and am no different then what I have described. On a side note let’s be honest, the easiest way to win a 1v1 in WvW is to be the person countering and not initiating, especially against another D/D Ele, unless you catch said person by surprise.
Dragonbrand feels like the new IoJ, but what I don’t see is if they can run up so many points during off peak, how they were that far down in the rankings. Did they get new transfers?
The only new transfer I have noticed to DB is Newlanders, [NEWL]. Though I have only noticed about 5-10 of them, they tend to wipe zergs 2-3x their size. They are very fun to watch and very glad to have them on our server.
