I tried path two first thing after the update.
We were 2 thiefs, 2 eles and necro. The defending mag part was a much more enjoyable experience, so much better than the old 1-2-2 boring suicide / kiting trick.
This is a big improvement, its 10 x more fun then before
its now my favourite part of the path.
And there are people taking this game far too seriously, it is just a game and supposed to be fun.
Duelling is a great idea, I hope they implement a good duelling system. In the mean time be kind to one another.
Out of all the games I have ever played, people in GW2 are the most touchy and most cruel to each other.. The reason why im thinking about ditching this game is not because of the bugs, crashes or boring story mode; it is because of you bunch of moaning in-polite little twerps :-p
P.s the word “noob” and all its variants should be band or filtered from the game.

I’ve not been playing the game for long and I play as a thief, I had a short go on WvW.
I found that even when using stealth skills I was still getting my kitten whooped, this is because I am not very skilled at the game yet. If the stealth skills made thieves impossible to kill like you make out, then surely I would be doing just fine.
So far I enjoy using the thief, please stop trying to spoil the game for other people just because you are getting beat on all the time. All the professions have their pros and cons.
All this “nerf” business is ridiculous and childish. If the thief is nerfed into the ground you will only complain about the next character that whoops your kitten
Quit complaining and practice more.

Yesterday I decided to finally mess around with my PC to see if I could sort the problem out. I re-installed windows XP 32 bit, service pack 3 and all updates, Installed the latest Nvidia drivers and didnt put anything else on there apart from GW2.
I was able to play for the entire evening without a single crash and I was able to run it fine with higher graphics settings. :-)
I urge everyone who is having issues who have not performed any maintenance on their machines to give it a go. I know it is a lot of messing around but thats PC gaming for you and GW2 is worth in my oppinion.
Hopefully when I play this evening it will run just as smoothly.
Oh dear :-( I’m curious, with your crashes; do your computers freeze up forcing you to reboot or can you quit the game and start it up again?
When I get a crash my computer completely freezes and I have to force a reboot.
What systems you all using? I get a lot of crashes, however I think it is down to the graphics card / driver. I am using a Geforce 8800 GTX and running windows XP 32 bit OS on a 64 bit system.
This set-up isn’t ideal at all but its all I have to go on at the moment. I don’t blame Guild wars 2 for this. In my case the crashes are definitely to do with my system.
I’m just wondering those of you who are having these issues, could you post the technical info of your machines? It may help them to help us. Simply saying “it crashes, fixt it” will get us no where.
The AI are useless. Everything about this storey mode seems like a step back from the original Guild Wars game. When missions became too difficult you just formed a team of human players, discussed tactics then felt a great sense of achievement when together you progressed to the next area. Even if for some reason you preferred to play alone, you could take along AI characters that were active and pretty good and choose which classes you thought would be most useful.
I don’t think it is too hard; the model in which it is all presented is restricting and I hate to say but lame. If the story mode gets hard you either make sure you are a few levels above the recommended requirement or get other players to help you. I’ve asked for help from other players and never get a response, it seems I am destined to do this whole story mode alone, I have Skyrim for that.
I almost couldn’t believe it when I realised the personal story in this game literally meant “personal” single player game.. It wasn’t what I expected from the mighty Guild Wars. I bought it online and it cost about £65, I expected the PvE story mode to be like GW1 on steroids x 10, I am so so disappointed by it. I am going to stick with it (becuase it cost so much) but I am not sure if I can make it to the end of the story line. Its just too tedious, im glad I have stuff like dynamics events to distract me from it but there are only so many times you can get excited about a giant troll repeatedly spawning.
If the GW1 storey mode was combined with the GW2 dynamic realtime world it would be truly epic. What a shame eh.
Sorry for waffling on but in my book, the difficulty isn’t the problem, it is the delivery and the means you have to go about doing it.
