When I see mid fight being lost, I usually go to the far point to decap. But it all depends on the situtation. Where do you think you can do to contribute the most?

Normally I’d agree on that but those npc’s are just way too squishy.
With this amount of players all you need is 2 mesmers perma stealthing and shattering them down out of nowhere… Or make it 3 for literally infinite stealth.
Buffing them will make it impossible for one player to take them down.

imo its complete and utter bullkitten how some classes apply conditions.
Ranger traps recharging the moment they are set down (not when they are activated) but mesmer mantra’s recharge after the last use, BS!
At some point in time, Anet stated that they were fine with classes doing a lot of damage or classes that do a lot of CC but they don’t want classes to have both at the same time. Somehow Anet decided that having super high defensive with the abnormal condition damage that we have now is fine though. Looking at burn guards, schizofrenic ebola mesmers and engineers >.>

There was actually a discussion in one of the CDI’s on making the orders more relevant later on in the game, for example through daily quests and/or through reputation grind. Whether or not something along those lines ever makes it into the game is something only Anet knows.
Why do we need a reputation grind? I am the Pact Commander. They should respect me for bringing them together and leading them.

You will never be able to cause a strike out because the other players will not be able to be the physical projectiles that knocks the other players like how bowling pins that falls will knock down other pins.

But warrior is already power base and the elite specs are supposed to change the playstyle somehow so I think its okay that its gonna focus a bit more on conditions.

It can crit. Dmg is still pretty meh.
I couldn’t get my frost trap to crit even when I am wearing Zerk gear.

Frost trap has a significantly higher base damage than the other traps, which assumes they are for power, but their DPS is pretty bad.
If Frost trap could crit, it could potentially find a use in Power builds.

I think Healing Power should tie in with reviving player.
In a Dungeon scenario, if 1 player goes down, a zealot geared player can res faster than 4 players without healing power.
That won’t actually help in the least.
I forgot to mention that the base revive heal would be nerfed uniquely. (Each subsequent player that is ressing will have their res heal nerf by 50% for each player. (I don’t feel like going into more details.)
With that in mind: Not really. A cleric player can lower the skillcap needed to run the dungeon considerably. Since it ties into a stat, anyone can run zealot gear and pug dungeons. Full Zerk players can still speedrun it. But for pugs, all it needs is one player with healing power or the run will be very frustrating.

I’d like to hear people’s opinion here. Would you prefer better working pets or Druid? Both things we know nothing about and we have no idea how impactful either would be. And of course we all truly want both. But if you could only choose one which would it be? As the title says, which is more important to you?
Edit: Well I’ll be. Aspects do seem to suggest they’ll be removing the pet or something along those lines. Adding aspects requires replacing at least some of those f commands. But guys think about all those folks who aren’t buying HoT. Are they getting the short end of the stick as far as balance goes? Of course, all of this is speculation at this point.

As for many of you who already know (and for those that don’t https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blighter's_Boon) this trait is hands down the first trait that probably truly qualifies as a grand master trait. The sheer amount of life force gain from this is by far the best beyond anything else. It’s all great and all but this is just another reason why the Reaper is miles ahead of its measly predecessor the Necromancer. The poor necro needs amazing life force up time and gain like this benefits the reaper. To be perfectly honest this trait should be placed somewhere else so the class as a whole can benefit as it single handedly solves the age old case of good life force gain which we all have been craving.
I initially brought it for the sustain, then I kept it for the perma life force.

I would like them to lose their environmental weapon status. Reduce cooldown to 20 seconds, and then reduce duration to 15-20 seconds.
It will make them more viable for PvP. I can drop a banner there and fight there or go to the other side and decap a point. The cooldown is too long.

You already have a auto run button that and wsad is all you need to keep up with fellow players while you use your mouse to manage inventory
I can’t use the autorun and mouse to steer when I am talking on chat. Follow button is still useful.
Of course you can, just type when you’re numlocked on a long stretch of straight road.
That, or type a little, steer with mouse, type a little, steer, repeat. I do it all the time just fine.
Or, implement the QoL feature that will make this less of a hassle.

And if you spam UA you’re already dead.
You can take advantage of the spammability by using UA when the enemy tries to get on the point. By then, you have some energy restored. No need to spam 2 UA on top of each other.

Dueling in PvE:
– available in all maps besides major cities
– not available during personal story/living story missions
– not available in dungeons/fractals
I like this list except for this part.
What if someone is afking during an instance? I can use this time to duel with other players.
Major cities are big. If I duel on top of the Phoenix Roost, it will not bother anyone in the cities. Just restrict it to keep away from crafting station, banks, mystic forge if it needs to be.

I would like Anet to buff steal. Basically, steal will steal your target class mechanic.
-Disable attunements
-Disable warrior burst
-Disable pet
-Disable shatter
etcAnet is adding hard counter to stealth, reveal, and the thief class is the only class that has a class mechanic tied to stealth. Therefore, it is only fair we can hard counter other classes mechanic in return.

It should remove conditions instead of giving away health.
The reason for this is Poison Master. I have a condi build that uses Poison Master. The problem is that Poison Master competes with valuable condi removal traits.
If Invigorating Bond removed Conditions, Poison master and Invigorating Bond would both be valuable traits.

It also isn’t a boon and it does prevent new condis from being applied.
It doesn’t prevent existing condi from hurting you. If you got 17 stacks of bleed, you will die in your invulnerability state.
Then you should have used your invuln to prevent those 17 stacks of bleeding from being applied rather than using it after you got bursted.
If you take a ton of power damage before you use your invulnerability, then you will just die. It is the same thing, only difference, is with condis you get to see that you are about to die and have a small window of time to do something about it. With power you are just dead, no cleansing options available, no get out of jail free cards, dead. Invuln is just as much a counter to condis as it is to direct damage.
A power build can’t continue DPSing while the enemies are in invulnerability. A condi build can continue to pump out dps when the enemy is in invulnerability.

Please put a function where I can right click + follow. I understand that you won’t add this because it will combat bots. I want this so I can follow a fellow players or the commander while I fix my inventory.
Since the autoloot function is in the pact mastery to combat bots, I would like this function to be added because of the same reasons. Maybe put it in another line so that bots have to master two lines in order to get these two wonderful features.

Still haven’t fix Chilled to the Bone.
It needs a 60 second cooldown. Nerf chill or stun, 120 seconds is too long. A 40 second cooldown stunbreak/Condi removal laughs at chilled to the bone. I would rather keep a 2 second cast time.

For the people who say no, I want to ask: How exactly would a dueling system negatively affect you (if there was an auto-decline option which was switched on initially)?
Such a system existed in WoW. People trolling players for not accepting duels, especial players that clearly had no chance of winning. Much of the toxic community resides in sPvP due to it being a competitive environment and a breeding ground for trolls. Last thing we need is those players trickling in to troll players in open world maps that have no interest in pvp. Lastly, this is already being implemented in guild halls, so continually asking for this is now pointless.
I was playing WoW for the full free trial one month and I was actively looking for these toxic duelists.
I hanged around the dueling spot in goldshire. No one there was harassing me even after I declined their request.
These toxic dueling story is probably a minor thing. You remember it because you remember bad things better than the good things.
Your 1 month free trial time obviously makes you very experienced in this. Lol. And like I have said before, dueling will be allowed in guild halls, so this is pointless.
If I did not experience one single harassment during my 1 month free trial time, then toxic duelists aren’t a major problem.
It wasn’t just WoW, I’ve looked in Rift since it was free to play, but there wasn’t anyone that tried to duel with me and I couldn’t find a dueling spot.

One thing I dislike about HoT were the events.
They have no depth. I want to do a event in one zone, then come back to that very same zone and get an entirely new event that I haven’t seen before. ANet isn’t adding a lot of new zones in favor to make each new zone have more depth to it. I could care less if each event changes the map. I just want new events when I come back to it.

How many player use magic carpet in game? Almost no one. I see maybe one player a month use it. So I guess you say no one will use mounts to. So no reason for mount because no player really use the ones already there. See if almost everyone uses magic carpet there might be some problem with FPS. You think if you win argument about mount arena net will add them. But you only win argument in your own mind.
Keep wasting your time like everyone else that argue about for or against mounts. This thread started 2 years ago and no mounts with expansion. Maybe next expansion in 3 years there will be mounts.

It would also mean players who do not have mounts could miss out on events as a zurg of mounted players run around the map doing events/champs. Training mobs in to other players.
I personally see these as valid reasons not to have them. Also if the riding broom and carpet where.big sellers, I’m sure we would have.a lot.more.in the gem store, but I’m guessing that only having the two means they don’t sell well. And if people really wanted mounts that bad they’d have them and be riding around on them, but I’ve seen 1 riding broom and 1 carpet in the close to 3 years I’ve played this game. (I’m not counting the NPC on a broom in LA)

I have a new rig, parts in my sig. I was playing devils advocate for the people out there on old PC’s, and as I said, hardly anyone used the “mounts” that are In the gem store now.

No, close, but no. See I don’t want them, and I don’t ever want to see them in game. I could give a crap about other people having them, as long as I can disable ever seeing them, and as long as it gives absolutely no in game benefit whatsoever. I say fill the cash shop with enormous, ridiculous mounts and charge $50 worth of gems a piece for them. Just make sure you add a graphic option to disable ever seeing them, and we’re all good.

There are plenty of evidence that WoW isn’t the only MMORPG or games with mounts. So, With the refrain of “dis no WOW go play WOW if u want mounts” is just plain wrong.
So there are more options for games with mounts for you to play. Hop to it.

- I haven’t seen Magic carpet clutter up Divinity’s Reach. Maybe something went wrong?
- I don’t mind clipping. I don’t see why you should mind it. I am going to look at the butt of the mount anyways 90% of the time, not the legs.

- +25% movement speed won’t break balance. Just wear a Traveler runes or a speed signet. They can also disable it in WvW.
- Tab-target or wait till the other friendly player gets kicked off their mount when they go into combat or until they leave.

You know the button with the helm where you can change your trait and gear?Practice Arena needs a button somewhere that newbies can press. Back then, you could hover over the score to let the button come out, but it was removed. I don’t need it because I can keybind my equipment/trait box, but the newbie probably didn’t and don’t know how.
A small feature that could help newbies grow. Newbies could go into spectator mode and see what build the players that are [s]farming]/s]killing them are using. Usually, (whenever I am in a good mood), I tell the players that their build is wrong simply because they have a Nature spirit trait even though they aren’t equipping spirits. I see these in builds all the time, and I don’t even care if they aren’t using meta builds.
All I suggest is a button somewhere in the Practice arena match that allows players to change equipment and traits easily. Just a small QoL feature.

Not that I’m a huge proponent of +mounts. I understand the -mounts side, but I see the benefit of including mounts, in a moderate fashion:
Not in cities.
Not in WvW or PvP. (WvW needs something else for speed boosts, but that’s for an entirely different thread.)
Speed boost no greater than perma-Swiftness or near perma-Swiftness. Perhaps passive +25%.
Base mount available in game, not cash shop.
Mount swiftness has a cast time of 2-3 seconds.
Any combat effect dismounts. This includes evasion or falling damage.
No combat effects on mounts. No “jousting” except maybe as a toy/costume brawl skill.
There are plenty of evidence that WoW isn’t the only MMORPG or games with mounts. So, With the refrain of “dis no WOW go play WOW if u want mounts” is just plain wrong.

Pretty sure mounts come to all classes or none.
Sure, it can come to all classes. However, Cavalier will be the only profession that gets combat mounts. Everyone else is cosmetic only.
