What could possibly happen next to push the residents of Tyria together before they start fighting amongst themselves again…?

Somewhere in Rata Sum…

“What should we do in the case of a golem uprising?”

“Impossible, the sedition inhibitor prevents any kind of insurgent behaviour.”

“And if someone found a way to suppress the inhibitor?”

“Well, we DIE or bow down to our new golem overlords.”

A fantasy MMO having a magic robotic uprising. That would be so much more fantastic then the typical “kill the new big bad enemy” route.

Possible origin story boiled down:
1. Some big wig Asura on the council (or an Inquest member) concocts a plan to take over ALL golems.
2. Things go awry, but Zojja and Mr.Sparkles get things under control.
3. A group of golems gain true sentience
4. Said group of golems leave and establish an empire somewhere
5. New and improved golems, including new shapes and sizes, are born!
6. Tyria’s people come under threat of being mechanized
7. Commence war of Organics vs AI!

If you’re like me and you’ve been to Orr, then you are probably sick of zombies. And any sort of organic enemy didn’t seem much different for a while after you left

BRING ON THE SHINY ROBOT EVIL!!

That would be soooo cool!

There could be a golem base infiltration mission. That would be awesome !

Imagine hundreds of golems trudging across a barren landscape towards Lion’s Arch… Epic.

And that’s when all the golems merge together, Voltron-style, to form the 7th Elder Dragon, Mechanus Prime.

Chaos ensues with golem minions invading all of Tyria.

If anyone built the local equivalent of Skynet, it’d definately be the Asura. Screw it, how do we know Mr. Sparkles ISN’T already prepped for the takeover?

Plot twister finale of the in-game storyline.

In the final instance, Mr. Sparkles goes rogue and declares its own involvement in the rising of the AI empire. We must destroy Mr.Sparkles before he can unleash his diabolical plan involving the destruction of all organic life as we know it.

Edit: We then have a choice: A. Tell Zojja you’ll destroy him, or B. Tell Zojja she should be the one to destroy it.

If A, you’ll commence the fight, and battle Mr. Sparkles, with the entire battle scene accompanied with witty Sparkles-style banter and Zojja mumbling to herself in the background. When you finally defeat and destroy him, Zojja has disappeared.

If B, Zojja will start to agree, but then turn and say she can’t, and side with Mr. Sparkles. Battle commences, and now you must fight her instead! Upon defeating her, your companions (other NPCs involved like Logan or Eir) destroy Mr. Sparkles. Zojja flees.

Zojja becomes the final boss you face at the last dungeon, controlling a multi-block golem similar to the first boss Asurans faced after character-creation, only 10x bigger!

Betrayal. Familiarity. Evil plan. World hanging in the balance. Double betrayal!

ANet, make it happen please.

LOL, a 10x bigger Golem would block out the sun and fall through the continent. But I like the idea haha. It’s pretty sexy. But, the Asura have so much pride, they wouldn’t let anyone help them. And if they left to go attack Lion’s arch, the council would say, mwahahaha, and would wait for the whole world to be destroyed, but for them. They almost did that in the storyline. kitten Asura thinking they can take on Mega Golem

I just have to say, that dialogue is possibly my favorite in Rata Sum. Never fails to bring a smile to my face when I duck in to hit the bank and the TP.

It’s my favorite too.

Though, I haven’t explored Rata Sum as much as I would like. :>
