I’ve seen a lot of posts about the feet poking out of the boots but not much about the ears and helmets. I’m an Asura engineer and most of the medium helmets look ugly because there are just ears poking out of them. I noticed that the heavy helmets usually hide the ears and then my character look amazing. Was wondering if anybody else would like to hide their ears.

I would be fine with ears showing if they didn’t stand up in combat, which looks absolutely ridiculous.

In short yes, let’s hide our ears!

This wouldn’t be a problem if the helmets were actually modeled with spaces for our ears to poke out through.

Instead, they just clip through… and clipping ALWAYS looks bad! Fix, please!

I know it’s not a fix, but the Asuran racial armors have ear-holes. Plus, they look kittening awesome

I would love it if they at least gave us the option to hide our ears when we wear a helmet. They look stupid on the outside of a helmet

I’ve yet to experience this problem with my guardian.

Yeah, my warrior doesn’t show his ears with a helm. Kinda makes me sad, so I go no helm all the time :/
if they could add ear-compatibility that would be the greatest thing ever (i realize cultural armors take this into account)

How DARE you even suggest hiding those glorious symbols of Asuran Sex Appeal under those crude, bulky helmets? Do not listen to these bookah apologists, my brothers and sisters! Display your ears to the world proudly! Hold them up high! \0.0/

i wish my feet are smaller and not stick out. they need to be protected. that’s why i wear the shoes.

Agreed. I consider this a straight up art bug.

Just looks terrible, and remember, thats a 20g helm, that was made for asura only. wtf?

@Vizier, yeah that confuses me a bit aswell.

You’d expect the armor designed for the actual race to look the best on it in terms of clipping.

Your ears look like they’re going upward, as opposed to outwards and down
I think it’s less the helm and more your odd ear shape.

I’m actually disappointed they fixed my headgear to hide the ears. Here he is with ears clipping through headgear:

I feel like the ears added a lot to my characters appearance. Without them the sides of my head feel barren and empty. Now if I want them back I need to hide my headgear.

Instead of fixing the armor to make the ears ‘not clip through’ it should be fixed so that there are slots for the ears to fit through. Why would asura want their ears to be folded up inside a helm in the most uncomfortable position? More pieces of gear need to be like the cultural armor where there is special accommodation for the ears to stick out.
