I am working towards this set, but I find it a bit insulting that the Vigil gear costs a total of 11g and has better stats than the cultural armor that costs 119g.

Here’s some info on the armor for anyone who’s thinking of getting it.
-The stats are, indeed, terrible. It’s better to buy this once you have a set with stats you like and then transmute the appearance onto the nice stats. You can do this with fine transmutation stones that can be bought on the gem store or found rarely in black lion chests.
- The colors as they show in game are not as they show in the preview panel, most colors get washed out because of the reflective nature of the armor (pics 1, 2, and 3)
-It’s expensive, over 100g for the whole set, around 120g
Foeralk – I farm orichalcum everyday on my 2 80’s (72 ori ore per day) and go out of my way to pick up mithril and elder wood. I sell when the price is high at prime time on saturdays and make about 40g per week with all the miscellaneous items I pick up. each circuit is about 1hr15min per character.
Pic 1 shows my armor reflecting the mystic forge in my left pauldron, it also shows hows the armor changes the color of my dyes significantly: the accents of my armor show as a light brown – the dye is midnight fire, which is usually a very dark, almost black, brown color.
Pic 2 shows how the armor can sometimes look very dark in some lighting and environments

All these were taken with the same dyes – Burnished steel, Midnight Fire, and Burgundy
Wow nice! I want this set so badly, been lvl 80 for 4 weeks, got 95% world completion, but only 8s! I wish I had another lvl 80 to farm ore. I don’t even farm ore on my main
I was gonna go for the Tier 3 armor but after previewing it clips (the shoulders) with the asura Tier 3 greatsword & hammer (which i use).
Such a shame as it’s a pretty nice set (apart from the helmet – it’s terrible IMO), in the end i just went full Tier 2 and put got some nice rare dyes to kit it out.
Anyways, congrats on getting it – it may cost a lot but i think that just makes it a bit more special.
Congrats on your T3 heavy. I absolutely and in love with the T3 light and it will be my only cultural armor in the game. It’s expensive but you don’t mind when the skin is just pure awesome for your aesthetics.
The armor is soooooo fricken awesome! But your asura is by far 1 of the ugliest iv ever seen =D lol , I’m sad to say I reroled my asura guardian to a human 1 solely coz I felt the armor and weapons didn’t have enough flare, but alot of congratz and respect on the armor +1
